This was my first time here as well as my first time having eggs Benedict. I ordered the cajun one, and it was great. Just the right amount of flavor. The potatoes on the side were very good as well; lots of flavor and nice and crispy on the outside. The atmosphere is really lovely-it has a cozy cottage feel. I went here for breakfast one day and was craving an egg Benedict. I got the Big Easy which is cajun hollandaise on top of poached eggs, jack cheese, grilled tomato, spinach, and a grilled english muffin. I got a half which was about $7.50 and came with home fried potatoes. The portion was perfect for me because I didn't want to have to take home leftovers. The location is perfect, about a 10-15 minute walk from campus and if you want to treat yourself after you can stop by at prince pucklers or sweet life petite. read more

The atmosphere of Studio One is very Eugene - relaxed, hippie, and eccentric. The restaurant always feels a little dirty to me, even after they just re-opened and more often than not, there are flies buzzing around as you wait your food. The servers are very nice and relaxed about everything. I honestly am not a huge fan of their food, my partner is a huge fan so we do come here quite often. We went after they re-opened, it was a Tuesday and it was already very busy. We only had to wait maybe five minutes for a table and were seated inside. The menu has been changed up slightly, but all the old favorite are still there (the french toast, eggs benedict, and scrambles). I ordered their eggs benedict and my partner ordered their breakfast burrito. My eggs benedict was very good - I would definitely recommend it, but my partner had a more difficult time with his food. The burrito was wrapped in a quesadilla - very odd, but we kept trucking through breakfast. Then his side orders arrived, a side of homefries (the side he picked) and then an order of toast (which we didn't know was coming). It seemed odd to me that the breakfast burrito would come with a side of toast, but whatever. It took forever for us to pay for the meal, but overall the service and the food was good. I realize this review is a pretty boring read - since it's about average food and service. Studio one cafe is an average place though - with some very odd quirks. I would say that it's not a need to go place as most people suggest - but a reasonable pick if you are looking for somewhere else to eat in Eugene. read more

One of my favorite breakfasts in Eugene. Good coffee, fun menu, decent atmosphere. Better quality than most of the places to go in town. Still not the best breakfast ever, but I haven't found a breakfast I've really loved here. They have some cool versions of benedicts that are tasty, including my favorite, The Zorro, which is poached eggs on top of polenta cakes with black beans and salsa. Yum. Service is hit or miss, last time I was there it was pretty slow and I got dirty silverware, which was kind of gross but whatever, stuff happens. Most of the time it's great. Once my boyfriend got called in to deal with a work problem for about 45 minutes and they help off on making his breakfast for us, while I was able to enjoy mine slowly and sip chai. They were really nice about it. I like the potatoes and the pancakes, and all the old movie memorabilia. I'm a sucker for the gimmicky stuff like the Hollywood references in their menu and the posters on the walls. Overall much better than the typical greasy spoon and the portions are appropriate and I feel good after eating their food. Cannot say the same of other breakfast diners. read more

I really liked this place they serve breakfast all day only open till 4pm they have some alcohol. the food is good I had the biscuits and gravy the fist day and yummy was kinda baffled by the fried tomato but ok ill play. the second day I have the dancing Spanish or something like that it is a scramble had some salsa and sour cream on top yum both came with potatoes well cooked which is not done 99 percent of the time in my opinion. the only down side I can think of is the tables are kinda of small and the seats are not that comfortable but considering it is in a house it is all good read more

Went for breakfast the day after Christmas. Assumed there would be a long wait on a Sunday around 10am - there was. I don't mind waiting, but I do mind hovering over a table of people eating while I'm waiting. I love this place, but please remove the table in the entrance and make it benches/chairs. You won't lose much money by doing this, but you'll make it much less awkward for people waiting for diners to leave. This place is amazing. I go here almost every week, it's that good. I'm a huge cinephile, which originally drew me to the place with it's adorable movie-themed decor. Then I tried their egg's benedict. I was a benedict virgin, and this one blew me out of the park. The Farmer's Market Veggie Delight is the best thing on the menu, hands down. I usually get a half order, and then get some kind of side like fruit or veggie sausage. They have strong mimosas too. You have to try this, it's the best breakfast around! One of the better places for breakfast in town! This is a slightly more dysfunctional restaurant than what most breakfast goers are used to. It's not uncommon for you to have 3-4 servers per meal! So be warned that asking one of them for something isn't always going to guarantee that you get it! However, the pancakes are to die for and will leave you full and still wanting more!
