Shop doesn't look like much from the outside but the techs do a great job. I was greeted as soon as I came in and Loi was on time for my appointment. I had a set of nails on and they were fully soaked off, no prying or pain. He was patient with me changing my mind a few times. I asked for milky white long coffins with two marble nails with gold flakes. He did a good job with my nails, took his time. I'll be back here. read more

Okay, I'm the pedi queen..... I cannot in good grace give this place anything but one star. I get pedis usually every week. I'm on a work assignment. I see this salon in a shopping center. I stop. It's empty! Lucky me! Two workers inside and two of us. I want a pedicure. I get my feet done so much I usually go for the basic but I say why not, let's do the callous spa. I literally screamed "oh shit" when cold water hit me about the 4th time! Then to make it worse, the pedicure lasted about 8 minutes. I'm not lying. I went to this salon because I was in Texas for a conference. I walked in and explained to the tech what I wanted and asked him not to file my real nails before putting in overlay and he had an attitude and said he couldn't do my nails. someone else volunteered to do it and when discussing polish I explained that I had an allergic reaction to the UV light they used which had costed me a lot of money going to doctors to figure out what was wrong. I asked the tech if he know the effects of UV on the bare skin. He looked at me with an attitude he responded that he didn't have to. I asked if they are taught about using the lights in school on bare skin, He said no. moral of the story, they are using products on people that they don't care to protect or warn you about. you should never be under a UV light without sunscreen and not knowing that and placing hands under this device by the hour, is extremely dangerous. read more

0/10 do not recommend this place. I have been coming here for months but I went for my birthday on 3/15 and I paid $120 for a medium length set with designs. Within 3 days I could feel the nails lifting. I went back and asked they to fix them and they fixed 2. The next day 2 of them popped off and I eventually lost the majority of the nails. I spoke with the manager Lloyd/Loi and I was told that there was nothing that could be done because they don't guarantee their sets to last over a week. If I had known their sets only last a week I wouldn't have paid $120. He told me my only options were to get a new set and they would only give me $15 off. I politely asked for 50% of my money back and Lloyd/Loi told me he's not going to argue. The techs can do great designs but the nails will pop right off. Good luck if you visit this place. I've probably spent thousands at this place but won't be going back! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! I called to make an appointment to get my acrylic nails removed. I ended up waiting for 20 minutes even though I had made an appointment. When it was time to remove the nails, the gentleman working on me tried plying them off with pliers and another piece of acrylic nail!!! It was painful and only after I complained about the pain did he soak my fingers in acetone. After soaking it in acetone he again started plying them with the pliers and acrylic nail. I've never gotten nails removed but I knew that this was definitely not the way to do it! After leaving the salon, I looked up a YouTube video about removing nails and it was nothing like the experience I had! DO NOT GO HERE! Updated: I'll update my review! The manager of the salon just gave this place 5 stars to boost their ratings. Don't be fooled. I was in a hurry because I ended up waiting! I asked for nexgen light pink nails. The guy then told me I can't do nexgen with oval shaped long nails. I have been getting nexgen oval nails for years. I then told him I wanted nexgen and that I know he can do it and he got upset. He used acrylic dipping powder on my nails using nexgen dip method and products. My nails are now not light pink but white and see through. He also made 2 of my fingers bleed. I know that he did it wrong becuse 1 i've been getting nexgen for years and 2 i'm a licensed cosmetologist and learned how to do nexgen and acrylic nails and know the difference. Got my nails done last week within the 1st week my nail polish chipped (they put on a brand new full set..THIS WAS NOT A FILL and they looked as if i needed a fill. I called and was told i needed to eat healthier in order for my nails not to look like this! Say what?! The disrepect is at a all time high! I was appalled and then they suggested if i wanted to fix the problem i had to go to the same person for a fix !!! I have been with both Steven and Loi and you can't go wrong with either artist, these guys are tremendously talented especially if you say to freestyle. I love the loyalty stamp card because after 5 visits I get $10 off which helps when I want to add extra bling or designs. Color me impressed! I never expected to find a nail salon so clean and so good in this part of town. My sister and I were driving down Collins looking for cheap pedicures. A few of the places we stopped at were reminiscent of the salons I visited in Indonesia, where the lady would pull out a tool kit which appeared to be comprised of rusty medieval torture devices, so we weren't expecting much out of any of the salons in this part of town. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of Studio Nails. It's located on Collins, next door to Pizza Patron. Just walking in, it was apparent that everything was clean and the equipment was new. Sterilization equipment was in plain view. Prices were very reasonable. It was $20 for a pedicure, and I think it was only $8 more for a mani + pedi. The best part of the experience, however, has to be the owner of this salon who did my pedicure. She did a great job and was hilarious. When I took off my shoes, she proclaimed that she'd been doing pedicures all day until 7 p.m. and that I had the first pair of pretty feet she'd seen. She then went on to describe how disgusting the feet of her previous clients were and the importance of maintaining beautiful feet. According to her philosophy, "No man will ever go down there if you have ugly feet." She was full of this kind of advice about feet and life. I highly recommend Studio Nails. It's not the kind of place you'd be compelled to visit based on driving past it, but if you're in Arlington, I really think it's worth seeking this place out. read more

Nadine wasn't kidding about the 'being pretty so you get some action 'advice handed out in Studio Nails. I have also heard friendly lectures on how "You've got to tell him exactly what you like. Men need help. If you want him to get it right, you have to tell him girl!" Pure comedy. The lady who hands out such advice is Jeannie. If you are feeling down, go visit her. She clearly runs the show at home and will gladly tell you how you should do the same. They also do a decent pedicure. Its not the very best pedicure I've ever had but it is pretty good. Most importantly, its effective but gentle. No wincing in agony when they dig in your nail beds. They do a great job at getting the crud off your feet. There are tiny flaws in the polish application. Today was a close girlie pal's birthday and she wanted to get pedicures here. Not just any pedicures. She wanted a Texas flag theme. Well how often do you get to rock a Texas flag on your big toes? I decided I'd be a copycat. It came out pretty swell. Pictures posted. and we were told with a nice smile "Don't you dare mess up that star until its dry! I'll have to hurt you" The blue light thing that's supposed to harden your polish wasn't working/on so you just walk out when you're done. Fine with me .. 20 for pedicure, 5 bucks for design, plus 5 for tip = 30 bucks. a manicure will run you an extra 8 with a pedicure. No decor to speak of and the chair massager was shaking me a little too violently. 1 star gone. Flaws in polish application another star gone so three stars. Would I go again?
