Disclaimer: I'm a pedicure snob. I saw a review about Hannah, so I decided to try her out, and set an appointment with her. She's a doll. Very friendly. Apologetic. Takes her time. Offers refills on wine. Funny. However, I won't go back here- because of my preference in pedicures. First and foremost, they don't use a foot rasp/file/ callous shaver (pictured). I havvvveeee to have that. The foot scrub is the most important part of my pedi for me. I need them scrubbed with the file, then scrubbed with the hardened sponge. She only used the sponge, so my feet still looked like this (pictured). -The paint job wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best either (pictured). -My foot was placed in the wax too soon. It was still way too hot for comfort. I kept thinking "am I going to have burns?" -pedicures are more expensive here than I've seen in the area so far. Mine was $55. Both paraffin wax/ hot rocks doesn't come with any cheaper pedi. You choose either or with a $45 pedi (I believe). Anyway, I'm still looking for that nail tech who can scrub the SOLE off the bottom of my foot. lol. This wasn't the one. On to the next ! read more

Walked in with my daughter who needed her nails removed and redone and a pedi and I just did some dip nails without tips to pass the time. I was put with a lady named Susan who was nice, quiet though never even asked me one thing or spoke which was kinda strange but ok. While she was doing my nails an older lady came in that apparently had an appt with Susan and so she jumped up and left me sitting there for 3 minutes while she helped her appt get situated. When she got done and got back to me she didn't know where she had left off so one hands nails got topped with some bottle twice and my left hand never got the final coat. She had started shaping one hand and then she just never shaped the sides of the nails or even did anything to make my cuticles pushed back. They looked awful so I asked if I could use her file to "fix" them and shape them properly. I know she was in a hurry to get to her scheduled client but damn I got ripped off. When I picked up the file and went to sit by my daughter the owner I presumed walked over to me with a newer smaller file and handed it to me and said here you need a new file. I said I didn't really need a new file but took it. After I worked on my new just bought nails with the new file and walked over to pay the lady she says $40 for the nails which was a ripoff to begin with, and then she adds and $5 for the file. I said I didn't buy a file, didn't ask to buy a file was only "fixing" the horrible job I had just received and wasn't paying for a file. I will add that the pedicure and dip nails that the other two ladies did on my daughter were beautiful. The color was really nice and they weren't anywhere near as thick or chunky or ugly like mine were. Guess i just got either a bad tech or she was so into her next appt she didn't care about my nails. She has never disappointed me and my nails and pedicure always look amazing. She is very organized and works hard to please. I would give her 6 stars if I could. There have been a few instances when her next customer comes early and tries to get her attention. This is a difficult situation for anyone and she deals with it in a professional way. the place is fairly priced for fills. i paid $40 with shaping included and they didn't charge me extra for keeping my length. fills are $25 and i paid an additional $15 for gel polish. the lady was nice and attentive to my fill. she didn't make the nails too thick unlike my previous nail person who made my nails bulky. sally did a great job selecting my color and overall i'm happy! the place does seem to be pricy in pedicures though. the entrance guy with glasses was very nice and welcoming. i will be back. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I came in at 12 pm for a dip manicure while in town. I asked the tech to not shorten my nails and keep the current coffin shape. She shortened them so much, rounded them and I have, not even kidding, 10 layers of dip on, she thought she was ready to clear coat and I had the lumpiest nails, not shaped or cleaned up, she didn't try to fix. Had a amanger step in and she put two additional layers of dip on, barely shaped them, shortened them more. Proceeded to round them AFTER I said no I hate round nails I wanted coffin. Told them I'd pay $20 for their time and she said "but it's not my fault and you're upsetting my customers" WTF? I am a customer. Horrible run business and absolutely worst manicure....AND I DO MY OWN DIP HALF OF THE TIME!!!! I should also note I noticed this tech somewhat shaking but I let it go because I know it's a process so I wait until the end of their shaping etc to mention what I dislike she could hardly hold the dremel to do anything to my nails. She then proceeded to watch the tech try to correct for an hour and they, what I assumed, talked about me the entire time. I came back a second time for a mani pedi because I was in a rush and they made me wait 30 minutes even though there were 2 other people getting their nails done. They talked bad about me AGAIN. When I called them out on it they played stupid and was like no we didn't and I talked to the owner and all she said was like I didn't hear her say anything and they all laughed at me. And I only did my feet because I was mad and less than an hour after I left 3 of my toenails were messed up and mushy because they painted it too thick. Never coming back to this place. Since moving to Texas I have been looking for a great nail salon where I could potentially become a regular. After going to numerous amounts of salons and continuously getting good and bad work. I am happy I can finally say that Super nails by NJ was perfect and everything I am used to. The salon is very clean and well kept, the employees are not shouting to each other in different languages and the quality of work is really great. Friendly as soon as I went it. Had one of the owners help me decide a color and a style for my nails. My technician was NancyFancy. She was super sweet. I got a dip plus tips and a basic pedicure because I couldn't afford the others one . Complementary drinks per usual in a nail salon. I've given this salon 4 tries. The first was amazing...the next three were not and I will not be returning. The first mishap was asking for a gel color to match the color I picked for my pedicure. Since a person did my mani at the same time as my pedi (super uncomfortable to twist my arm over myself to dry it each time), I couldn't see what they were doing. See the photo of the two colors - not a match. The next time I got only a gel manicure. The older lady didn't do a great job of clearing the excess polish out of the corners of my nails, causing it to have jagged edges and to also peel from the corners. $30 manicure lasted less than one week. She also was not interested in taking the time to trim my nails and file them to look similar and neat. I had to watch her closely and ask multiple times for her to go back to nails that she had considered finished. The next time was my final experience at this salon. The same older lady did my manicure as the time before. She again was not super focused and immediately clipped one of my cuticles too close and caused me to bleed. As a local HS teacher that works right down the street I thought I'd treat myself to an end of the year mani/pedi. Sound wonderful right? Wrong. I had made my appointment for 3 and was told over the phone it would be $30 for my service. I showed up at 3 and checked in. I was led over to a chair, put my feet in the water and waited, waited, waited. After 45 minutes (granted they were busy but NOT THAT BUSY) and multiple technicians asking me what service I wanted (but none bothering to help) my mani/pedi was underway. I should've left then, but I still had hope.. -I politely expressed how long I'd been waiting and there was no apology, no nothing, just blank stares. -The nail technician poured all the dead skin cells and extra cuticle skin she had scrapped off INTO the now COLD water my feet were in. -A basket full of cleaning supplies was next to the lady doing my feet (Sanitation anyone?) -They were in such a hurry to get me out of the chair that they cut me multiple times. What was the cherry on top you might ask? When I got up to the front to pay, my total was $50! "We has to cut your cuticles down which is an extra $20," they explained. I have been to Supernails on and off for the past 4 years. I absolutely LOVE this place, by far the best I've ever been to for the price. The polish is high-quality, my toes will last AT LEAST 3 weeks and my nails will last at least 2 (I get the gel-manicure). They are thorough and if you ask them to dig out the in-grown nails they will and do a great job at it. They are all VERY friendly and have great customer service. The only reason why I'm "on and off" is because it is about 20 miles from where I live. So most of the times I do make the drive, but sometimes I just can't. So I've been to this place twice and I love Cindy, she was amazing. But I have to say aside from Cindy being a great nail tech their overall service was a no for me. I came here on a Saturday and they closed two hours early with no notice on the door. They didn't even lock the door I just walked in and they said "oh we're closed for the day." When their sign clearly says 7p Then I came in another time and they said "oh we won't be able to get to you." I came within a reasonable time. 1hr Nd a half before close.. and yet they were still unable to assist me. She cut me a few times with the tools, and the massage was almost non existent, barely lasted a minute between both legs and no pressure. First, when we walked in we were greeted by the owner. It was obvious that she takes a lot of pride in what she does and it shows, not only with the people working there but for the atmosphere also. When you walk in, it's like you are walking into an amphitheater. There was a sense of calm even when they were super busy. Nobody felt rushed and they made a point to make sure I was as comfortable as their customers having their nails done. I've been back 5-6 times and she goes every couple of weeks. It's always nice to walk into a place where people remember you. It's a hidden gem.
