My Overall experience with Strongmove is very good. Amanda whom took my reservation was polite, professional and patient. Ben who was the field manager that led the team that moved me was excellently professional, polite and courteous throughout the entire moving experience. Khan and Kay that worked with him were also professional, polite and efficient. It took a couple hours longer than my quote for them to pack and load my one bedroom apartment with a small storage area in the basement, but the unloading and unpacking was completed so fast and set up so nicely that I was truly amazed. I tipped these guys pretty well to show my sincere appreciation for the performance that day. The day before was the day that I was actually scheduled to move. Close to the time of arrival at my apartment building I noticed another company had arrived early a taken the loading dock...I called Strongmove to let them know and to find out how they wanted to handle this...they rescheduled to arrive later that day at 1:00pm. They actually arrived early at 11:30am with three movers. Two very polite younger gentlemen I think one of their was Issac and the Field Manager was named Wesley. Wesley started out being rude and unprofessional right from the start by walking away as I tried to confirm with him that what they were there to do matched my contracted quote and it continued as he entered my apartment and actually threw a box that I had been packing across the room onto my sofa. He seemed upset that there was still packing to be done and they were contracted to pack, disassemble, load, unload, unpack and reassemble my belongings. I had enough when I was packing a box and Wesley came in from downstairs and moved the box that I was packing while I was packing it. We had words....I swore at him and he decided he was leaving. I'm concerned that his employer could not convince him to complete the job. I had to call and reschedule for the next day. This inconvenienced my time and cost me more money. All I can say is if Wesley shows up at your door....BEWARE.....hopefully he no longer works for Strongmove.....because his behavior is inexcusable! Strongmove recovered my opinion of their company with the team they sent out on Monday morning....they were an excellent example of professionalism, courteous, friendly and efficient...I fully recommend Strongmove Moving Services....Please get rid of Wesley....He will destroy your business!!! read more

Update - while I originally gave these guys a 5 star, I now have to take four away. I essentially moved my furniture to storage so I didn't go through any of the things until a couple days ago. I labeled all items fragile, with arrows pointing to which side should be up (on all sides of the boxes) and with the word "FRAGILE" on the top as well. I even separated the fragile boxes from the others, and pointed that out to the mover. Even with all of this prep work, of the two fragile boxes I've since opened, both have several broken items. This is frustrating given my direction and preparation, but more so because those things lost, were antiques and heirlooms. So, don't use these guys unless you're moving things you're ok getting broken. Original Post: I couldn't be happier with my Strongmove experience. I recently moved in state but about 200 miles, I was a bit concerned when the first company I asked to provide a proposal was going to charge me close to 4K. I decided to post my move on UShip.com, and Strongmove came in with the best value bid at nearly a quarter of the original proposal. The price was right so I went with them. From the beginning discussion with Begen, to the actual move with Sam and Abay, I couldn't have been happier. All three were considerate, thorough, and professional. Abay and Sam worked hard to get my things safely and carefully, loaded, moved and unloaded, and did it all in the same day in a little less than 8 hours (including travel). I've had to move often over the past few years, and the next time I do, I'll start with Stongmove. If your in VA, I think these guys should be your first call for your moving needs. read more

I was blown away by the customer service at Strongmove! First, their price was about half of what most other companies were quoting me for me. (I paid $770 for 2 moves and 6 days of storage between moves). Ben answered my questions clearly and promptly, and was available by phone and email. When the movers came, they were super fast and friendly. They quickly took apart all of my large furniture with professional tools, which would have taken me hours. Once they had loaded everything, we all looked through the empty apartment to make sure they had gotten everything (without counting against my time) which I thought was a nice, detail-oriented touch. No issues with storage. The movers were running late for the second move, but when I called, Ben answered and was able to call back quickly with an ETA and an apology. When moving everything to the new place, the guys were slightly younger/smaller, so didn't move quite as fast, but were friendly and worked together to move and re-assemble everything. Ben followed up later that day to make sure everything went well. Professional, friendly, extremely fair pricing, no scratches on the apartment or furniture, and customer service that far exceeded my expectations. This is the best I could have hoped for out of a moving experience. I was surprised that they had a perfect rating before I booked with them, and figured some reviews might be a scam -- now I'm a believer! Anytime I move within the DMV area, I will use Strongmove. We needed some movers for a relatively short distance move (~30 miles). We got quotes from six different movers and we went with Strongmove for their great reviews and great rates and they did not disappoint! The team arrived just before our requested time and got to work right away. They came with masks on and kept them on the entire move! It was a team of three, with one as the team leader. They quickly analyzed our moving situation (we self-packed but had a bunch of furniture) and they got to it quickly. They took care of our stuff and paid attention to the labelling. They wrapped all of our furniture in protective pads and even dismantled some for the move (all part of the regular rate). Once everything was packed, they brought it to our new home and unloaded expertly. In transit, one of our mirrors did break, but they had a replacement ordered and ready for pickup within minutes of arriving and apprising of us of the situation. I was very impressed with that on top of the great job they did with the unload and reassembling our furniture. They also were sure to ask where something should go if we'd forgotten to label it. Great experience with Strongmove! They were actually ready to start my move early which was nice. Unfortunately, our loading dock wasn't ready for them but they waited patiently. My building ended up having a number of repair vans blocking the loading dock so, the truck had to stay at the end of the alleyway, making it more difficult. The movers didn't seem phased at all and the heat index that afternoon was around 110F! I offered waters, ice pops, etc. and they just had a couple of waters, that was it! Meanwhile, I was the one pouring sweat just standing around. They did a really great job and were extremely careful with everything. It was very impressive watching them dismantle and reassemble some pretty complicated furniture without issue. Not a single thing was broken or dinged and there were no scratches, dings, or dirt on the walls in our new, very small and narrow house. They also navigated our narrow street with the big truck extremely well and they were very reasonably priced. Highly recommend! I hope I don't move again for a long time but if I do, I would choose Strongmove again. read more

Ben and his team are the BEST. We were so happy with their work that we hired them a SECOND time within a few days to help us complete our move (we only had half our apartment ready to move the first time). They arrived 30 min early, quickly reviewed the scope of the move, and started moving things within 5 minutes. They were super efficient, even without an elevator! (Yes, they moved us down 4 flights of stairs). We were so unprepared to move, we were still packing things into boxes during the entirety of their time here. They jumped in to help us pack, dealt with a stupid amount of dust and dog hair, grabbed big and small things, even helped us take out a TON of trash down to the dumpster. They also offer junk hauling so that it was really an all-inclusive experience. Ben led his team with professionalism and a great attitude, despite the difficult circumstances of the move. I am verrrryy happy with the services received. This was my third move in the past couple years and I had bad experience with moving companies before. This time I was careful in choosing the right company. I called dozens companies before reaching out to strongmove and since I started talking to sales guy (Sam) was very polite and patient in answering all my questions. I felt that he was caring and what is important listening to me rather then interrupting me. I decided to go with them and happy with my choice. The crew arrived on time, they were working fast and completed the whole work quicker then I expected. They were diligent with all items. I also asked them to take off shoes in my new apartment and they did it. Stongmove has competitive prices and I end up paying less then I budgeted for the move. We used Strongmove in August 2018 to move within northern VA. We were quoted a fair price for what was estimated to be an 11 hour move. We are still not sure how the Strongmove team did it, but they got our entire house onto that truck, drove 40 miles and unloaded at our new house in 6 hours. With only 4 guys. They carried everything into the new house, putting it where we asked, and did an amazing job. Not just boxes -- we had a treadmill and some very heavy wooden furniture. Everything made it without issues. I coordinated with Nick at the office in Fairfax and he was able to make sure everything ran smoothly. Strongmove only charged us for the time the job took, so we came in far under budget. We have made sure to tell anyone who is moving to give Strongmove a call. We don't hope to move again any time soon, but if we do, we'll be using Strongmove in the process. Strongmove team is the best! Would absolutely use again and highly recommend Strongmove. We only moved 3 miles down the road, but everything was packed as if we were moving to another state so nothing broke. The 3 men were very professional. The company sent a rep to give us a quote and he was also professional and very helpful. The quote was fairly accurate and included supplies and the time of 4 men. We had them pack quite a bit, so they were with us from about 9:30 until just before 5pm (minus some time for lunch). They helpfully set up the rooms as we indicated, including putting furniture such as beds/crib back together. We had to call to confirm the day before because we did not hear from the company after we booked the move and they arrived about 30 minutes later than we expected, but otherwise it went off perfectly (and those are very minor issue. read more

I hired 3 movers with Strongmove in the past 2 months to move. We moved from Fairfax, VA to Ashburn, VA. Both of those moves went well. The moving coordinator Ben was very responsive and helpful. Our team was Tony, John and Anthony arrived on time, and they were very efficient and professional. Whenever they took breaks, they informed me and it was excluded from total moving cost. They packed my sofa, wrapped all my furniture with blankets and labeled all the boxes so they knew where to put them in the new house, which was very helpful. I truly can not say enough good things about Strongmove. Ben is super professional, courteous and easy to work with. Ben and Naac (Sp?) were on time, had amazing and kind attitudes all day and were just a pleasure to be around. The quote they gave me in advance was dead on exactly what the move cost and it was more affordable than every other quote I received by a significant margin. These guys were good sports even as they moved my stuff up three flights of super narrow stairs. They assembled my bed for me when they were finished moving in my stuff, which they totally didn't have to. This was my first moving experience, and it was--in a word--stellar. Strongmove's capable staff didn't make me feel stupid as a young, first-time mover. Instead, they were willing to listen to me and work with me to provide exactly the service I wanted. I had specific places and angles in mind for furniture, and they happily put it where I wanted it. Larry and Chris showed up 20 minutes ahead of time which in my book was perfect! These guys are without a doubt or hesitation the best movers I have ever encountered. Not only were they friendly and professional but they genuinely wanted to know how they could make this move better for me. I can't say enough good things about the Strongmove team of Ben, Anthony, and Larry. They kept in touch as to their arrival time and moved several storage units worth of boxes and furniture to our new home over an 8 hour period in 90-100 degree heat and did it with smiles and a great attitude the entire time. Great moving company from start to finish. I called and asked if they could move my apt within the next two days. (fully expecting them to say no) I was surprised when they asked which day was best for me. On moving day they showed up exactly when they said they would. My mover's name was Kable (sp), and he was great. He clearly knew what he was doing. I didn't feel the need to hang around /monitor that everything was going ok (I usually do). They quoted me 3-4 hours, which was fine, but Kable was done in two. Moving companies NEVER finish in less time. I will definitely use this company again. read more

They arrived 15 minutes early and began right away, which made me feel less worried as this was my first solo move (1 bedroom). My movers were extremely helpful with whatever details I hadn't considered when I was packing (including wrapping my mattress and safely packaging any screws etc. from disassembled furniture), and even helped my roommate move some of his things once we arrived at my new apartment. My movers were great. They called me that day to let me know that they finished their other job early and if I was ready they could come over right away and get started. And they were very efficient and fast and careful with my furniture. I love that. I'm so used to waiting for different things it was a refreshing change to be able to get something done earlier than scheduled.
