SCAMMERS. We initially were going to use them as movers 1,600 miles from MD to CO. $750 deposit and they said the dispatcher would call us with details. Called us and told us it would take a month to get our items. We called back and cancelled and they were actual dicks. Hung up on us a few times. Would not talk with us and never got a refund. We had to dispute with the CC company which took 60 days. Don't move with these clowns. And if they do take your money, file a dispute. The movers were incredibly careful with all of my belongings, especially my large collection of fragile antiques and glass figurines. With extra care, they wrapped everything using sturdy boxes and plenty of bubble wrap. For my bulky furniture, they used straps and thick coverings to keep everything in place. So that nothing would shift while we were on the road, they even helped me figure out how to arrange the truck for maximum stability. Complete frauds. Do not hire this company under any circumstances. Professional scam operation designed to sign you up to a moving contract, take your deposit, and not actually go through with the move unless they can try to sign you up for 2x the cost the day of the move. On June **, we contacted TB Moving's sales department and provided a detailed inventory, including measurements, notes on disassembly, and items needing packing. Based on this, they provided a flat-fee quote of $3,*** for packing furniture (non-box items), pickup in Colorado and delivery to Massachusetts. Two individuals arrived in an unmarked rental truck--not company-labeled--and admitted they were not employees of TB Moving. This directly contradicts assurances that the company's own trained crew would handle the move. Despite no change in our inventory, these subcontractors produced a new "estimate" of $7,***, nearly double the original quote, claiming additional charges for packing items that were already included in the inventory and quote. These individuals demanded to be paid in cash, directly to them and off the books, and said they would not be transporting our goods to Boston--again, in direct conflict with the agreed terms. They also did not recall the name of the company that hired them (TB Moving), further adding to our suspicion that this was a scam. When I asked for documentation justifying the massive price increase, they were unable to provide any legitimate support. Again, these contractors did not even know the name of the company that hired them and asked to be paid approximately double the original estimate amount directly in cash before they even began loading anything on the truck, with no support or justification for the increased cost. Scam. Cancelled my move 12 hours before the planned date. They don't pick up the phone or respond to e-mails. They never returned my deposit even though they said they'll refund in 3-5 days, which never happened. I had to find another company on a very short notice, of course for a higher price bc you don't call a moving company telling them you wanna do your move tomorrow other you, your family and your belongings will be thrown in the street. This company had arranged a pickup for a move date this July 2025. They asked for the deposit, which was paid in full after receiving their quote. Days prior to the move, I tried calling them to verify they would be on time on said date agreed upon. No one would pickup the phone after 4 days of repeated calls, no way to leave a voicemail and emails went unanswered. I finally called the contact number that shows the owners name and number within the BBB. He hung up on me after explaining the situation to him and deposit given. I then received an email the same day stating they would not be coming, sorry for the inconvenience".....they also stated they would refund me the amount deposited. This is my second time hiring TB Moving (I think the first time was working with Samuel, Alex, and Vadim) in 2018 and they did an excellent job moving! My partner and I had a great moving experience yesterday. There were four movers and they did an excellent job wrapping up the furnitures, taking apart the bedframe and they were efficient and strategic at moving the boxes. Most important of all - They were careful and a joy to work with, thank you! If there is anything to improve on, it'd be: - Timeliness: Our moving timeframe was between 8am-10am but the truck didn't show up until 9am. I think it'd be befinicial for everyone to start early and on time! - Wearing masks and protective gears at all times - We understand that it's hard to breath, especially moving things around but during this time than ever, I thik it's most critical to wear masks to protect each other at all times. I rarely ever write reviews, but TB Moving will be my exception. I was moving into a new apartment and they require a $100 deposit which is completely reasonable. I made the call on 6/17/19 and canceled on 6/21/19. The receipt they sent me stated my deposit is refundable if cancelled NO LESS THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED PICKUP DATE which was 7/1/19!!!!! I had to call them constantly especially Alex and Maria and they just wouldn't do anything. First they said I couldn't get a refund then when I told them about their OWN POLICY they said I would get my refund but they NEVER GOT BACK TO ME after so many phone calls. God so unhelpful. I relocated from Long Island, NY to California. Diane was great with providing me with an accurate estimate. On the day of the pick up, the movers arrived on time, carefully wrapped my furniture and boxes and loaded in the truck on May 27th. I received the delivery on June 15th. The delivery times are as follows: "East coast Up to 12 business days Mid West Up to 14 business days West Coast Up to 15 business days Northwest Up to 20 business days *Delivery schedule begins from the first date you will be ready to accept your shipment"(copied and pasted from the booking confirmation email). The delivery driver arranged an early morning delivery at 7 AM, which worked great with my schedule. Upon arrival, I saw my boxes all over the floor of the truck, which was quite frustrating. My glass-top table was broken in pieces, the bookcase footing was fractured, the plastic shelves bent, and the desk back support came out of line and had a few scuffs. I immediately contacted Diane, and Alex emailed me back within a day apologizing for the damage. He explained that they were not liable for pressed wood furniture, but I disagreed saying that if they pick up my furniture, they are accountable for its safe delivery. We settled on a refund, yet this left me with a bit of sour feeling that I had to defend my case even though there were pictures taken on the spot. On the other hand, the movers are very courteous and polite. They really try hard to be careful with your stuff. I guess moving across country is risky business. One of the movers decided it was okay to walk into my apartment building announced after the "move" was finished because he didn't feel that our 20% tip was enough and was completely inappropriate. I thought for a minute I was going to have to call the police or throw him out myself. The management team has zero communication skills and they ask you to write your credit card information on a blank sheet of paper with no receipt. This place is a joke and needs to be shut down. Pieces of artwork were not wrapped before loading to truck and each frame has dents and scratches. Broke a piece of glass of the TV cabinet and nobody mentioned anything. Made a complaint to the company and they have the audacity to get upset at me for giving them bad reviews when thousands of dollars of damage picture frames. TB Moving moved us today. Had a completely CRAP experience. It started by Alex (who I was told is the Owner) informing me ON THE DAY OF THE MOVE that I needed to pay cash because he was having a merchant service problem and couldn't charge my card for three days. He admitted he neglected to inform me timely and then said that if I couldn't pay cash, he'd cancel the move. He wouldn't take any other form of payment I offered and actually hung up on me. He knew he had me between a rock and a hard place. I had to scramble locating a bank (I was 800 miles from home) to come up with the cash on top of everything else going on. On top of that, the truck showed up at 1:15 on a scheduled 10-11am pickup. Completely screwed up my day. When I checked with him at 11am, he lied and said the truck was stuck in traffic. At 12:30pm, the driver called and said he was just leaving another job. The driver and his team did a nice job but Alex has ZERO professional courtesy or honesty. He can't be trusted. We moved our townhouse in Long Beach to Gowanus today, after a massive snowstorm dumped over a foot of snow in front of our building and effectively narrowed the street to one lane. I carved a 20 a foot section out and right on time the guys showed up and quickly shoehorned the truck into the spot and got to work. These guys were flawless in that all the logistics went very smoothly and our possessions were treated with care and they even reassembled the bed frame at the end of a long day. The price was very very reasonable and dealing with the office staff was easy. Someone else I was referred to quoted me a "Vip rate" which was over $100.00 more! They called me early the morning of the move and told me they could come earlier if I wanted. Please DO NOT TRUST this company with your move!! I used them for storage then moving from NY to California, and I could not regret it more. Diane made a lot of promises that my stuff would be packed up and taken care of - and I fell for it. Over half my shipment lost or ruined. Alex sent me photos of things they managed to wreck even while in the TB storage unit. Anything they damage, TB movers have a canned response ready of why they "aren't responsible." Do not believe their guaranteed time frame for delivery; they went so far over that I heartbreakingly missed my Christmas holiday back home. Alex said the truck broke down and said the driver could show me a receipt for repair, which was a lie, and not something that should be the client's problem anyways! Boxes of photos and papers arrived drenched, legs broken off dressers, and anything glass was smashed. The incompetent movers at the drop-off smashed a safe by pushing it off the truck and laughed because they "didn't know it would be heavy." They held up cardboard boxes missing labels asking if I recognized them. In my phone call to Alex he defended it was normal for boxes to lose labels and get mixed up with other people's property. TB overcharged my credit card on several occasions. They sent me other clients' emails by mistake with details of other moves gone terribly. Just completely unprofessional and dishonest all around!! We had Maks and Erdem help us move today and we couldn't have asked for a better pair of people for the job. Everything was done so professionally and quickly. TB Moving was the only one I could find that was available so I crossed my fingers and hired them. They were on time, professional, speedy, and all my stuff was moved in perfect condition. They arrived on time upstate yesterday morning to my storage unit, then had to bring and assemble a daybed at my mom's house and clear out 36 boxes plus more furniture. Let me start off with the fact that we have moved 9 times in the last 17 years with a combination of a few local moves but majority state to state. We have worked with North American Vanlines, United/ Mayflower several times, and a few others so we have a good idea of what fiascos can occur and what obstacles people moving or relocating can encounter. No doubt it is a stressful time and having the right moving company with a good crew is so very important. If you get a crew who doesn't care or a coordinator that doesn't care, it could be a tremendous impact emotionally and mentally. This round, I interviewed 5 companies in 4 days. Everyone was professional as expected but this time, I included 2 local companies that I have never heard of but since it was a local move, why not. I like working with Mom and Pop places that have great service and don't have the luxury of hiding behind a global brand. From the time I asked for more information online, I got a call back from Diane, one of the best coordinators I have ever worked with in all my moves. She was patient, worked with me on my questions, and even sent an estimator to my house the same day in less than 2 hours. She communicated well the entire time, gave me a great/ fair price, and was professional the entire time. Any question she couldn't answer (not many), she researched and got me the answers quickly. The packers, came nice and early and texted me their ETA, and the foreman, Nick came in to assess each room and gave the crew their instructions. They took no breaks, except for when I made them stop to eat a quick lunch (ordered a couple of pizza pies) and they were back to work in 20 minutes. Now, I have to say, we have a lot of gear. Clothes, furniture, books, toys, etc. We donated a truckful of stuff the day before and gave or threw away boxes and bags of things that you don't really pay attention to when you have had full service packing and relocation packages for your entire career. Even with our 'spring cleaning' prior to the move, we probably had about 12000 lbs going less than a mile away. Thursday, they packed - very meticulous and extremely careful. They were respectful, very professional and told me everything from (this cup was already broken, did you know about it and do you still want us to pack it?) to, time checks, what room will this go into in the new place, can I use your bathroom? So packing day was 60 degrees and sunny. Moving day, it was snowing starting at 7am - 3pm. They finished unloading around 4pm. In NY, parking is already a chore - take a 26ft truck packed to the ceiling and every cubic foot was filled except maybe you can fit a broom, and add that to the mix and parking gets worse. Move into a place near a school and 2-3pm becomes a nightmare when every parent in the neighborhood seemed to show up at the same exact time. Triple parking, honking, and .... School buses who refuse to pass means you have to close up the truck and take it around the block a few times. Nick, Sergio, Alex, and Bato were my crew both days. They never complained, answered all my questions throughout the day, and were extremely friendly and professional. They work quickly but with extreme care with what they were doing, wrapping everything like it was China from the Ching Dynasty. And loading and unloading boxes - these guys were beasts! It was snowing and they still finished faster than I have ever seen. And to make things worse, it snowed practically all day. All in all, I would use these guys again in a heartbeat and if I could get the same crew again, I would. Its been 3 days since the move and I already made a referral to a close friend of mine. They say moving can be one of the more stressful events and one's life. That is true, unless you hire TB moving. During a renovation, I needed to move all of my furniture out of my apartment and place it in temporary storage from January 26 through and including March 10. Diane, an absolute doll, answers the phone and takes all of your information. You receive a questionnaire, asking you for an inventory of the items that you require to be moved and or stored. You receive a flat rate quote. You are not charged by the hour. This is perfection, considering that my move- in date was March 10, a snow day, and due to traffic and parking everything was delayed. My rate remained the same. I was billed approximately $650 to move out, $700 to move back in, and $150 per month for storage with my first month FREE. Two months of storage of my entire apartment, over 450 cubic ft. of space, in a climate controlled facility for $150. An expert team of three come to your home, disassemble, carefully wrap, box, tape and protect your furniture, with lightning speed. Loading in and loading out was seamless. The biggest issue was finding a parking spot on Ocean Parkway for their truck. Alex, the general manager, follows up with a thank you email and make sure that his team satisfies you 100%. They take all major credit cards. Note: The rates are a bit higher if you were moving at the beginning, or end of the month. Also, it is customary and a good idea to tip at least 20% and in cash. That adds to your expense bottom line, but these boys earned it with sweat and care. Be generous if you are able. Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside... read more

These guys did SUCH a good job. I've never hired movers before, so I was a little out of my element when I was looking for someone to help us - I think I've pretty much used all the "friend helping me move" cards in the past 7 years, having moved (on an average) of once every two years. I spoke with Diane, the moving consultant, during my search, and she was incredibly helpful - especially with me knowing so little about what we actually needed. When I gave her a run down of the stuff we wanted them to move, her quoted price was one of the lowest I was offered. Since she was the nicest - I chose them. They confirmed before, and the day of moving. The guys showed up on time and got right to work - they disassembled all our furniture, wrapped it all, moved it out...shipped it, and moved it back in. They even threw away an old bed we were getting rid of so I didn't have to lug it downstairs, and moved a few other things that weren't on my inventory, but would have been annoying to move. They were fast, didn't break anything, and unloaded/reassembled. I want to say the whole thing took less than three hours. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking to move! read more

Flat Rate moving company was being very pushy and I almost selected them until my old roommate told me that his good friend used to work there and they were up to some shady stuff... he never said what... ANYWAY! TB Movers were fantastic! The showed up on time, got everything packed up quickly, were super professional and communicated well. When we arrived at the new apartment they had to take everything up a narrow staircase in the duplex to the 2nd floor and they did it with ease and experience. They even moved some extra furniture from the 1st floor to the 2nd that wasn't included in the original inventory list and told me that it wouldn't cost extra... CRAZY!! I compensated them in tip for the extra pieces and I was so grateful they were willing to do the extra stuff for me because it would have been impossible for me to do on my own. Alex confirmed a time with me and Andrew and two other men showed up early to our previous home in CT. A glass-topped desk and shelving unit that I thought would have to be taken apart were not. The unloading was a piece of cake. I decided to use this company for my inter-state move, because I had a wonderful experience with them two years prior. However, it is now under new management. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a moving company for the following reasons: -DAMAGES Many of my items arrived damaged. I have contacted the company multiple times over the last few months to file a claim but they are not responding, despite the manager assuring me they would do so. Once he received my payment, they have ignored my emails. -LATE I was told by Maria that the move would be completed by 4:30 pm. The movers arrived 3 hours late and were moving items into my new place until 2 am (at which point the neighbors threatened to call the police). They didn't finish until the next day. -SLOW There were five movers that showed up, and they worked extremely slowly (they said they hadn't slept in days because they were put on back to back moves). When TB did the same move two years prior, three movers completed the job in half the time. The manager's interactions with me were unprofessional, similar to what others have noted in their reviews. I moved my furniture and other household stuff (size one bedroom apartment) back in May 2019 from NY to AZ. Everything was great in the beginning. Competitive price and what appeared to be good customer service. That was until my furniture was delivered to AZ. Multiple major damages to my furniture. I called and emailed customer service multiple times and also sent them pictures of damages. Pictures of damages were taken as the furniture was being delivered. No response. I look forward to working with TB moving in the near future. overview-- good customer service and honest hardworking crew members, flate rate pricing available my story: I hired tb moving to move me from queens ny to lake mary fl. this was my first long distance move and my third overall move within 2 years. the previous companies I have worked with didn't have the man power or the capacity to move long distance so I was forced to look elsewhere. after doing extensive research I came upon TB Movers on yelp, although I'm usually weary of a buisness that is all 5 star ratings, I gave them a call among many other companies to set up an in home estimate. Alex came in to do an inventory count for my furniture pieces and give me an estimate. although their estimate was initially the highest Among all the other quotes, Diane worked closely with me to adjust their quote and bring it closer to that of other moving companies. fast forward to the day of the move and four men show up zura (the foreman) laasha (sp?) sergey and dima. all the men showed up exactly at 9am, dressed in TB uniforms and ready to work. upon entry, zura took a look at the inventory list and double checked that everything was on there. after getting the paper work out of the way, the guys didn't waste any time and began quickly disassembling and wrapping the large furniture pieces. the day before the move I had called Diane with some last minute changes and she was readily able to accommodate my needs without any price fluctuations (I had to add 2 wardrobe boxes and she gave me 3 for free...thank you Diane!) zura finished packing the three wardrobes that Diane had sent and the entire day was smooth sailing. the men took extra precaution with my expensive imported Italian (might I add heavy!) furniture and didn't complain when the oversized headboard didn't fit the elevator and had to be carried down five flights of stairs. every piece was wrapped in blankets and my large vanity dresser mirror was crated to ensure it's secure arrival. I had dreaded this move more than anything else because the last thing any one would want is for something that they spent lots of money on to get damaged. surprisingly nearly every piece with the exception of one end table made it down to florida safely. considering the fact that my items had to be picked up from my house and loaded on to the truck, then delivered and unloaded into a storage facility (which by the way was also free for up to 30 days), and then loaded back on to a truck for delivery in Florida, one broken piece is not so bad and although it could have been avoided all together, TB moving graciously offered to compensate for up to 50 percent of the cost of my end table. I had called Diane with my address on the 5th of June and my items arrived on the 15th of June, 5 business days after giving them my location, which was nearly 10 days sooner than their 14 business day policy for delivery! zura had called me a day before to tell me his ETA. zura and dima personally delivered all of my items down to Florida and the two men worked tirelessly in 97 degree heat to get all my things up to a second floor walk up. I especially would like to thank dima for his outstanding work ethic and efforts--he worked non stop and had to be convinced by myself, my husband and zura to take a five minute break for a drink and a snack. the two men unwrapped, reassembled and placed all the furniture exactly where we wanted it and never mentioned the heat once! I would like to say that no move will ever be 100% glitch free; however, TB moving comes about as close to that 100% as possible when it comes to serving and satisfying their customer's needs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I wish I could give them zero stars. If you want to deal with broken/missing belongings then they are the company for you. If you worked hard for your items and expect them to be treated with care go somewhere else!!! I previously moved them and they were excellent (on time, no issues). That was 3 years ago. HOWEVER!!!, this time around was a horrible experience. I moved from Queens to TX and what a nightmare. First, they guaranteed a delivery of July 11th, I did not receive my belongings until the 20th! Second, several of my items were completely damaged (a bedroom set, one TV was cracked in the back, one TV was cracked in the front in several places, pieces were missing, etc.) It was so bad that even the gentlemen who delivered my belongs told me to file a claim and send pictures to the company. I reached out to the company on several occasions (emails/phone calls) to let them know about the damages. I never received a response. As someone else mentioned, the owner did request upon pickup for me to pay in cash and gave the reason of having to pay his employees and the credit card company he uses takes 3 business days to clear. I told him, I do not carry cash and he would have to accept my credit card payment upon receipt of my belongs. Do not fall for the scam! read more
