Storage Valet is the best. They are affordable, friendly, accommodating, informative and everything in between. Although they are in Corona, we asked them to drop off three pods on a Saturday in Long Beach and pick them up on Monday. Easy. Then when it was time to move into our new place, called them up and set a date and time. again, easy. In this event, we had to ask last minute if we could get one more day to unload and they were very accommodating. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends. Great service. If you can manage carrying your stuff from the house to the driveway (wherever the storage bins are staged), this is the ONLY way to move. I am retired military and have performed numerous moves (mostly on my own and one by a moving company). This was by-far the best moving experience EVER. The best part about it is the pace at which you can "move." When I rented a truck, the move always had to be done quickly - loading the truck, driving quickly, unloading quickly and then returning the truck as soon as possible to avoid "extra day" charges. This also required enlisting a number of friends to speed the process. The StorageValet methods allows you to pack and unpack "at your own pace." I rented 5 bins for 30 days (the least amount of time). I took 1 & 1/2 weeks to pack (each evening and a lot on the weekends). Then I took 2 weeks to unload. [2 bedroom, 1 bath house - 1027sqft with a one-car garage FULL of stuff. Also had garden and porch furniture. Couldn't quite fit it all in 5 bins - needed to make 3 or 4 trips with a full SUV. I only needed one person to help me load up the heavier/larger items and then one person to help me unload those same items. I could handle all the boxes and smaller items myself. This move was local; about 20 minutes apart. I priced a local moving company and they wanted around $900 (2 guys, 1 truck for 8 hours). The 5 StorageValet bins for 30 days with one transfer was around $450. Half the price with 1/10 the stress and I didn't have to hassle with "mover nightmare" issues. The price was great. About the company: best customer service ever. Alex was very professional and always kept me informed. I had to change the delivery of the empty bins one time and he was very flexible. The bins were delivered (empty), picked up (full) and then picked up (empty) exactly when scheduled. The bin delivery/pick-up gentleman, Tom, was just a pleasure. Very professional and courteous - with a pleasant sense of humor. Overall experience - 6 stars. I couldn't be happier with StorageValet and give them my highest recommendation. read more

I used Storage Valet for a recent move. I downsized from 3500 sqft to 1685. I stored everything until I could figure out what I was going to need. Alex was really very accommodating and helped me find ways to save money.. He arranged movers to pack me up and then arranged for the movers to be here when the containers arrived. Alex coordinated the delivery of the first set of 5 containers, calculated the unloading, and arranged for the second set of containers to arrive while the movers were still here.. They did not have to wait for the creates and were able to use the 4 hours seamlessly.. That saved me $$$$. The people Storage Valet sent were fast, hard working and very polite. I gave them a 4 our limit. They unloaded 8 crates in 3 hours 40 minutes and then asked me what I would like them to do for the last 20. Storage Valet made my move so easy and much less stressful.. It was one less thing I had to worry about for the 5 months of waiting for my home to be completed. The driver who delivered my crates was the nicest man. He remembered my name, and seemed truly interested in what I was going through. I cannot say enough about these people.. don't bother looking or shopping.. I did that for you.. and I found the best deal. Great people, great service, GREAT PRICE! I will use them again. read more

Alex helped us with a complicated move, making it seamless and cost effective. Whereas the bigger companies could not help us with the details of how to get our items to go three different directions, Alex proposed a logical, economical way of getting our items to their final destination. He is definitely a "think outside the box" kind of guy. He was extremely easy to reach and was just as invested as us in making sure our move was seamless. When it came time to store our containers, he even proposed a less expensive place to store our items than his own storage facility, which is already very reasonably priced. No doubt, he had our best interest in mind, over trying to make a profit. When we ran into a few unexpected problems on the day of the move, he drove from the inland empire at 10 oclock at night to make sure the problem was solved. I've moved between the east and west coasts 4 times in the past 5 years, and can say that I've become a fair judge of moving companies. After Storage Valet coordinated my latest cross-country move, I would recommend them to anyone. My request was kind of complicated: I needed the contents of my apartment stored during a "glide" year while I applied to medical school, and delivered to whatever school I was accepted at. As it would turn out, that school was in Boston. Alex and Katie at Storage Valet coordinated for my 2 containers to be shipped across the country, and gave me the choice of 2 different movers to unload my items at delivery. Everything went as smooth as clockwork! I almost couldn't believe it, but not a single item was broken, chipped, or damaged in any way (this could not be said for my previous moves). The movers that Alex recommended were extremely professional and wonderful to work with. Here's the kicker: the whole thing, even including the year of storage fees, cost about half of what my other cross-country moves cost (I used larger moving companies that specialize in long distance in the past). I would absolutely recommend Storage Valet to anyone looking for EITHER competitive storage rates or long distance moves!
