UPDATE: After reading my Yelp review, Eastvale Storage agreed in writing to postpone raising my rate until my one-year anniversary of renting the unit. I requested written details about the amount or percentage of the upcoming increase, but they told me they couldn't provide that information. I spoke directly with the manager, Ruben, to address my concerns. I've added a star because Ruben was prompt in forwarding my message to the owners. However, my rating remains low due to the initial price hike attempt and the ongoing nature of this issue for other customers. Had I not raised the issue publicly, I doubt this temporary resolution would have occurred. Please note that I will not be adjusting the star rating further, and I request no additional calls regarding this matter. Thank you for your understanding. ----------- ORIGINAL POST: I did not receive a written 30 day notice nor an invoice in regards to the new raised price. I was told by the manager that they would not be raising prices for at least 8 months and it would only be by $25. They raised the rent by 45%. That's a pretty horrible thing to do to your customers. That is considered price gouging. You can take action by sharing in the reviews, on social media, and reporting to the Attorney General of CA. Price gouging is illegal. Especially when SoCal just underwent Red Flag warning for fires. Despicable. DO NOT RENT HERE. I was in need of a storage and with a quick google search I found a few storages in the area but I was lucky to have found Eastvale Storage specifically. I called this place and spoke with Ruben over the phone and he was super helpful answering all my questions. I was impressed with the customer service so much that I drove there the same day and ended up renting 10x20 on the spot. Super clean facility, they got me a better deal than what the place up the street offered me when I called them. Their facility is extremely clean and looks very secure. I do not recommend this place. They will double your rent. We rented a 10x10 unit in September for $75. Fast forward to January and they are doubling our rent to $150. We got a letter in the mail which served as our 30 day notice. We called to see if we could work something out and the manager stated we could try to downsize and move into a smaller unit, but he did say they would double our rent in that unit eventually too. I just don't understand how storage units say this is "market price" and get away with it. How do they stay in business??? Anyway, I recommended trying to find a place that won't raise the rent by double or at least only once a year and only a little. Be careful read more

This place is a scam, they raise the price by over 100% for "operating costs" in the first 3 months of your contract, my agreed payment was $59 a month and I now pay over $130 a month and I haven't even been there a year. They constantly have you re-sign your agreement (3 times in one year). Terrible customer service and they delete any bad reviews i recommend going literally anywhere else read more
