They emptied my father's three storage units I inherited without my consent, despite having never missed a payment. I had a company set to come and clean out the units that same week who were going to facetime me (I'm out of state) so I could make sure things I wanted to keep didn't get tossed. I called Allec Storage to let them know what was going on and was met with resistance. I was told I couldn't have the cleaner company come on a Wednesday as I had scheduled. Ok, weird, but I thought that might be their trash day and they don't want a big truck in their facility, so not a big deal. I get my appointment rescheduled and call back with the updated info and I'm then told the cleaner company may still might not be able to come in on the new scheduled day because the storage facility gate might not be working. I was like ok, that's really odd. I knew the gate had stopped working the previous week because of high winds but it was it back up and running and the winds had died down. I said if the gate wasn't working at the appointment time we could deal with it then, but was keeping the appointment. I was then told the cleaning company was only allowed to be in the facility from 11-3:30 and one of the owners had to be present during the clean out. Ok, fine. I call the cleaner company and they're fine with the restrictions and move my appointment from 8am to 11. Finally everything seems to be sorted. A few days before the cleaning company was set to come, Mo decided to "help me" by contacting me saying she could get my three storage units cleaned out for free. Mind you, my dad was a hoarder and these units were full. I mean they were absolutely packed. I had three different storage unit cleaner companies all quote the job as taking a minimum of 2-3 days and costing thousands of dollars because of the amount of stuff. Her offer to do it for free struck me as odd, but I played into it, saying I'd like to know more. However, never once did I say I agree to this. I have a copy of all the text exchanges saved to corroborate my story. Long story short, Mo starts texting me on a Friday to get her a list of things I want saved from the storage units. I still have never given my consent at this point and am unable to respond to her until late that evening (it was my last day of work before my maternity leave started, so I had a lot going on). But my gut was very uncomfortable and I felt like something was off. When I finally do respond I politely ask her to facetime me any time convenient the next day because I would like to see my units. There is no response, which is very unlike our previous interactions. Finally at noon on Saturday I call in to see what's going on, and that's when I find out all three units have already been emptied. I was completely shocked. I asked when were they emptied and Mo initially tells me it was done Friday night, but later in the conversation changes it to being all started and finished that Saturday morning. She then says she was sorry, that there was a mix up because she thought I wanted it done. She goes on to elaborate that I shouldn't be mad because her mom is sick and she has a lot going on. Now, I do feel for having a sick parent, having lost both of mine. And I honestly hope her mom is doing better. What I take exception to, though, is her mom's sickness being used as an excuse and justification for what happened. And to angrily tell me I shouldn't be mad over it all. We end the phone conversation there. I end up texting Mo later asking for the name and contact info of the company that cleaned out my father's units. I wanted to 1) find out when exactly my units were cleaned out, and 2) try and save some special items I knew to be in the units. She never responded. I texted again later, asking the same question, again no response. It has now literally been over a year with me texting the same question monthly, and absolutely no response. I have given up trying to contact Allec Storage so hence I am leaving my review. However, if anyone from Allec Self Storage would like to respond, please feel free to contact me via phone/text/email. I'd love to chat. I have filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs. And while they are not part of the BBB, I filed a complaint there, also. read more

My experience here has been excellent. The facility is very secure, clean and well maintained. When I have contacted the staff they have been quick to respond to my inquiries. I also found their prices very reasonable. I would use them again and recommend them to others. read more

actually, WE (my brother in law and i, who had the title) called the police because you would not release our property like you agreed to do on the phone. we showed up as instructed and at the time instructed. YOU DID release his property after the cop told you to. so i guess we were in the right all along, werent we? you can lie all you want, ppl will see right through you. my review was honest, and i hope others stay away from your rediculous staff and business. read more

Staff seems nice and informative. The facility looks to be taken care of and definitely kept clean. Accessibility is very reasonable: open early and closes late 7 days a week. And by far the best value in the area. read more

Great prices, friendly staff. gate closes at 7pm, wish it was 9pm instead. But it is what it is. Units are very clean and well built. Having a bit of a problem finding a link to pay for my unit online though. Other than that, I would refer my friends there. read more
