The manager Eddie went out of his way to make sure to answer all of our questions with patience and expertise. He helped us size up the unit we needed, walked us through the rental process. He's always on property and available whenever I need additional assistance or had concerns. I'm not sure what people had to do to get a bad version of him there because, I'm glad to be renting from here. We were on property for hours and the mean dog was not mean at all she was extremely sweet and gentle to our 4 year old. I would give this place a chance to see for yourself. The man in charge of the facility is Eddie. Right away we hit it off. He said I could bang on his door and use his bathroom anytime night or day if the office was closed. I'm just kidding. Don't ever disturb him after office hours. I made friends with his dog and he walked me all the way to my unit so I'd know how to get there. The price was more than fair. I feel like he would help me any way he could. That's why Im gonna ask him to help me unload my next truckload. Im kidding again. LOL. read more

So miss Erin F. Does that mean that the charges I have are going to Be erased? I think by your guys statement I owe around 4-500$. Now seeing how thousands literally thousands of dollars worth my items stolen...and the fact you guys know about these incidents that had happened will you and your company do anything? And I have called the corporate office but no return. Call....I just wish someone would step up make the situation right and not push the blame on to the next. And Lastly I signed up with cube smart I was then changed to storage king without being asked or even agreeing to the change. I used the online feature to book my unit. That was the beginning of this nightmare.. Not only did I not have the correct info, but when the mgr. Comes out he first ignores me n when I ask a question he got rude n went inside his quarters. Then he comes out as I'm trying to figure out what to do on my own just for him to put me down and throws me in a category he decided "us customers" are. He changed the hours to 9-5 because his hours stop at 5:30. Next day I send my boyfriend n contactor to take first load.. And my boyfriend had to wait outside the gate with all the things because he didn't allow him to take them to my storage. Contractor had to go. Hours later when I get off of work I am afraid to go to the door because there's a huge pitbull at the entrance. Instead of helping me as I wait he decided to clock out for lunch. The gate opens and closes just fine with my gate code he updated me with.. However he has a sign that's says it's broken.And yells at us with rude comments to get out at 4:45. The list goes on.. But you get the point. Sad miserable very disappointed. Beware. And is it me or do these reviews seem suspect...btw the mgr only worker there as far as I know is Eddie. read more

‼‼‼WARNING ‼‼‼ DO NOT RENT FROM HERE‼‼‼ if I could get this less than one star I would! My storage unit was broken into this morning or some time when the staff left last night. Signing my contract they said "that they have cameras surrounding the property." Which they do, but not even close to all areas of the facility. You would think where my storage was it would be common sense to put a camera in this location. The location of the storage community is in the middle of no where, on the outskirts of the city , surrounded by a old fence. The storage Facility called me this morning around 9:30 ish saying that my lock was missing.... The whole damn door was broke with bolt cutters and Pried open! I showed up there to the worker -Charmaine and the Supervisor- Eddie. The worker Charmaine was as helpful as she could be since she's only been working there for a few months. Eddie had no remorse. Acted like it didn't matter. I asked him why there weren't cameras in this area and he said, because he's waiting for corporate to approve the cameras. So they gave me a pamphlet to call the police department and the insurance and pretty much said that's all they could do. I let them both know that "this isn't right. I am a single mother of two and I leave my stuff here to be protected." Charmaine walked me to my storage to look to see what was missing. I looked inside which were a bunch of my Christmas presents that weren't even out of packages for my kids and me,my computer and a $300 go kart and some other items that I know are missing, but I can't remember off the top of my head. I then asked them can we move my unit to a different unit where there are cameras? They said, "that the only unit that they have available is a bigger unit and I'll have to ask the GM if we can move over to the Bigger unit for the same price, but I might as well make a police report in the meantime." well the police officer showed up told me that this isn't the only break in that this facility has had in the last couple months there has been quite a few.( which they did not mention to their tenants.) Also told me that they are not required to warn their tenants. The other person was also a woman at the corner of my unit on the same building. I walked around to look at the other units all of them have been broken into. Well it took them all the way to 2:30/3 to call me and let me, that I was allowed to move into the bigger unit. Because I had to wait on the supervisor to get back from his extended lunch and wait for permission from the GM to move into a different unit. I asked him before hand "what happens if she doesn't get back to you or she says no? Am I just supposed to leave my stuff in the unit where there is no cameras and someone broke into it? so they can come back and take the rest of my things?" He said "that's our only choice." I have pictures of my babies on that computer I have pictures of friends that have passed away on the computer, that I cannot get back. And not once did a apology come out of that man's mouth! I had gotten a new storage today at a different facility and rented a U-Haul truck. Since I am a single mother I rented a 10 foot uhaul to load my 8 x 10 stuff of storage into it, alone, and they had the nerve to approach me and ask me, "when they think I will be done, because they clock out at 5:30." Are you joking????? When I asked for corporate's number Eddie gave me two different companies names and said, "that he doesn't have a direct number." These pictures on here are where my unit is located and how close to the fence it is and how easy it is to just throw things over or even jump over. Also pictures of how all of the deadbolt locked on the units are broken into including mine. If you care about your items do not leave them at this facility!!! read more

Warning! Do not use Storage King! First off, the location in Lakeland is on the outskirts of town as far as you can get - on the edge of the Green Swamp. Second, they're going to use the standard bait and switch on you. They will promise you one price and then they'll raise it as soon as you get your stuff moved in. They'll tell you that that's what the market demands, but they'll offer no proof! Basically, they'll just raise your rates whenever they want more profit! This company is unethical and immoral. Avoid them at all cost and use their competitors! You have been warned. read more

The employees at this location are the best. They were super friendly and helpful when assisting me. Because of them I felt less stressed with my moving situation as they made this process real easy for me.
