I had a bad experience moving into cube smart. The listed reservation price was not the price I ended up paying. They charge a mandatory 18 dollars a month extra for using cube smart locks. This should be known when signing up. I had my own lock and wanted to use that but it wasn't even an option according to an email I received only stating "no sorry" . I never received an email back when asking about where their policy is or where I can prove my military discount. When I first arrived to the unit it was full of crickets and does not look safe to put my valuables in the unit. The upper rafters looks like someone could crawl into nearby units which is alarming. There was no one in the office ever and the gate was open so anyone can go inside the area where your unit is. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone stay away if you value customer service and safety to your belongings. This place seems like a scam or very unprofessional. This place was Storage West but recently changed to CubeSmart. I understand that there are always changes when a company gets absorbed by another but storage west was awesome. Since the change over you cannot pay in cash or at least until things have been completely changed over. I wanted to pay by debit but they ran my card as credit which will take 7-10 working days to appear on my bank statement. There are also fees added to payments bc they want you to set up auto pay. I always pay cash and always have at least a one month credit but I will be looking for a new place to store my stuff. I do not recommend. The staff was friendly however and it's not their fault they too have been absorbed by the CubeSmart company. read more

At first the receptionist was ok, but after going in person to make my payments just after a few months I felt as if she just didn't like answering any of my questions, I mean it is her job to give me the courtesy of letting me know general information. The last time I paid she over charged me and just acted as if she didn't understand why. It was a late fee as I clearly saw on my printed receipt, I told her I've never been late (passed the 10 day window period) again she didn't give me a actual answer to why I just paid $40 more then my payment was due, and not to mention the monthly payment had already just increased significantly. So that's why I made the decision to fine another place, much cheaper and same houses so that's a plus. I mean I could take her always giving me a rolling eye or even fake smile lol I remember one time she was on the phone the whole time while I was there making a payment. She would eat and talk with a full mouth, and one time even yelled at me because I was taking too long trying to use my code to go out the first time When the gate didn't work for months. And some one told me they should have given a call to warn your payment is going to be late and never did that happened so again I don't know why I had to pay extra because like I said very bad customer service! Awesome place and people I just had the worst experience from the place I was renting at before. While this is an older facility the hours are common sense-6:00-10:00 so at any time during those hours you can get in. The staff called me the very first day I booked online and on the phone with a real person, no automated system. My storage unit is half the price of where I was paying. The people when I arrived came over, were beyond friendly, since it is one level, took me around, in a golf cart and showed me all my options for where i'd want to have my unit. Disappointed on how they run the Cube Smart Storage in Spring Valley . I came in to drop off stuff to my storage unit last Friday 11/20 and more Than Half My Unit Was Stolen (Gone) more Than $5000 dollars worth of Tools gone. still angry that security sucks at this facility. I reported it and manager said she couldn't help me she was so quick to make me call there 3rd party insurance to Get Some Money Back . I was hopping she would check the cameras so we can stop these thief's then told me she is to busy to check that it would take her a long time and that the following week she would be busy hopping that manager would help me so I can file a police report she did not and continued to tell me to make a claim so I can get some money back. I just want all my tools back I don't need the money . Worst 'management' and storage facility. Have had so many issues with them in even trying to resolve simple issues; poorly run all around. My unit was also broken into, and just left busted, not fixed while I was on the road working for many months. Items were stolen, with no compensation whatsoever from the facility. They said it's not their problem, although it seems it should be since you're led to believe you're paying for a 'secure' unit. They had an assistant brought on December of 2013, who was emphatic and admitted that it was a poorly run operation, although all he could do is try and fix the damages as they happen. He said when he arrived to work at the facility they had 61 damaged units. Upon my last visit, also found bags of other people's items thrown inside of my unit. Not secure at all; horrible management. Definitely would not recommend to anyone read more

They are never in their office during office hours and then they don't accept partial payments . It's hard to stay on top on your storage when you come from out of town to pay it but they aren't available . Then they say it's not their fault that no one is in the office . It's bad customer service . Being as busy as I am and pregnant they should try to accommodate for their lack of staying on the clock . I rented a 9x9' unit for 11 months. During that time I had the rent raised to $140.00 from $85. Got flooded out twice. Insurance does not pay flooding which seeps in under a door, only water from above. The management was nice but not to concerned about the water getting in or how to fix it. The first time I got wet from the rain they had me moved to another unit fine ok still a lot of work for me. Then I got rained out again a couple months later, due to the fact that the hallway door was never closed. The unit faced west and got the brunt of the rain. So no one took responsibility just blamed the tenants for not closing the doors. My rent was going up again even with the flood so I moved out. Put your items on pallets. Get your own insurance coverage, renters should do it. Don't get a west facing unit. Check on your space at least once a month. read more

Pulling up to Cube and Storage it isn't very appealing to the eyes and the area is kinda creepy looking too, but the place has really good deals and a staff that does their best to make you feel welcome and confident that your storage needs are met as well as anything you may need to pack and protect you precious belongings and the Manager their Monica F. Goes above and beyond with making sure to personally check on your as you are settling in. The first couple of places like public storage had that they also had people who work there that just dont care that are even snobbey and/or rude that brougt me to cube smart here in spring valley where i met lee who by the way cares took the time to show me around the place. This place is so strange and weird, I had my stuff in this storage for 1and half year but recently I went there one of my 3 bikes was gone and my Christmas stuff gone and my suitcase from my beauty school that it cost at least $700 was gone and my kid's Lego's and other stuff are gone, it's interesting the lock was not broken , the door was not broken but my storage unit is robbed because there is a wood instead of wall that connects to the storage unit that the employee guy has that storage and I asked him where is my stuff he is telling me I don't know and handed to me the insurance number and he was taking pic of the unit number, isn't that strange?????? , and I asked him this piece of woods easily can be removed and can be put back, it's interesting why that unit has to be use by staff of cubesmart but my unit stuff has to be rubbed that it's exactly connected to cubesmart employee unit by only a piece of wood ??? I'm going to report this story to police department, hopefully they can solve this strange and mystery matter in this cubesmart storage ......and I never and ever trust this place ever again read more

do not store your items here.... they are unprofessional, rude, and disorganized with their business. the property is dirty and the employees look like they are ex cons..... from the moment we walked in to actually rent the guy threw paperwork in my face and said "sign this" no one went over the info and no one gave any info. so the process took longer due to asking a ton of questions and reading the documentation. we get to our storage unit and it is dirty, as if no one came in to check if the last tenant cleaned up after themselves. do not rent here at all... go down the street to uhaul . read more

I dont waste my time writing reviews though i now learned trough my girlfriend i should spend the time to find out what people have experienced before, this incident occured a while back and i always think of the people that now use Cube smart in Jamacha BLVD here it goes i used cube smart to place home furnishings but mostly tools welder etc the plan was to have the items there to transition from one house to the next after 3 weeks we were given access to our new house so we started to move the items out of storage, on my second trip i noticed there was no lock on my unit i contacted the storage personnel only to be asked if it was not me who is claiming my storage was broken in i immediately called the Sheriff department who was very helpful the storage manager kept insinuating it was me with a false accusation, i Told him look at the F@#$% cameras, the manager replied it will take for ever the Sheriff then replied to the manager, then get started! i called the insurance i had placed with the storage the insurance later informed me that they would not cover since the lock was gone and was not found broken on the Flor this is something everyone should look closely when purchasing insurance from this storage anyways my loss was about 1800.00 dollars of tools Fortunately the thief's were not smart enough to take the real expensive items it seems they took the smaller stuff. on my first trip i had seen someone performing repairs on the storage besides mine. anyways shady as hell watch out with that gate that is left open, and reed the contract if a thief breaks the lock and discards it, the insurance will not cover read more

Do not rent from this cube space storage facility. If you have good stuff that you want to keep and don't plan on visiting the storage facility every weekend this is not the place for you. I stored my belongings here for 10 months. I visited the day I moved in, another time in May and finally February of this year which was when I found my storage empty. The manager explained that I must've had someone follow me in or knew my code somehow it insinuating that it was my fault. asked about the entry logs for our passcode and when she looked it up it had been erased. It was then that I learned I had no recourse the cameras they have on property are for their property and not for yours that's why they have you purchase insurance so make sure you have receipts for everything you store and you know the value and you purchase insurance that can cover everything. And finally don't store any of your personal items that you don't want to risk being stolen. I have lost all my personal possessions pictures photo albums everything it's as if they auctioned everything off in the unit. Unit was spotless when we found it except for one oversize bean bag that they left to land my fall when I passed out from learning that all my worldly possessions had been stolen. I paid Cubesmart $150 a month for this storage unit and God knows how long I was paying for an empty space. It's in their contract they have no liability so if your things are stolen they will just laugh it off and you will just be running around looking for receipts for the insurance company in order to get something back so good luck to you read more
