When I emptied my storage and went to turn in the key, they said I owed a whole month, although it was the first, and they had not debited my account yet. This place is terrible. They start off at a low price but then in 2 months raise the rent and then like every 2 months after keep raising it. Gate doesn't work properly, Have movers on-site and can't get through the gate because it's not working. Hours are always changing. It's terrible. Absolute WORST customer service, hours, anything I have ever experienced. While trying to move into the storage unit we were told closing was in 15 minutes, then everything closed and the storage was shut down everyone went home with no hallway check for final people anything. My unit is still open, items in the hallway, and my car keys are left in my open unit, elevators will not go up and no one is here and no one is helping get the car keys. The hours that you can get onto the property start at 9:30. Today I was there at 9:30 with a moving van and two movers but no one was in the office and the building hadn't been opened. I called the number listed on the office door but was unable to reach anyone. There were at least 20 other customers waiting to get into the storage units/building. No one showed up until 10:30, oops the person called in sick but management didn't send anyone else....and I'm paying $300.00 a month. read more

Decent storage; newer units, gated, and climate controlled units available. The hours when the storage units are available tend to be limited so it can be fairly inconvenient. They also appear to raise their prices fairly frequently, so plan ahead for that. read more

To my surprise they had a bigger unit available for $40 cheaper than I was currently paying. I was crunched for time so I told them I would go home and reserve online. Then I discovered their rate online was even better! Ashley and Jenny were so sweet & helpful in getting my new contract squared away. And fun to chat with. Online shopped for a storage unit. Compared prices and location. Easy online service. Doing online booking was convenient and saved me money compared to the other places. I went by my first day to get packing tape and Chantil was there to greet me. Her customer service was exceptional and she even provided me a map without me asking and pointed out the elevator access and dollys. Today was a little small move as I start my move and she was there again. Pleasant and helpful. She even saw me struggling on video and came to the rescue. I love that she took the initiative and was pleasant. 5 star Customer Service has been hard to find these days and I wanted to make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. Thank you!!! I look forward to my move and doing business with this establishment. So far...I love the cleanliness and organization of the property and the security. If I could give it 0 star I would. I walked in an informed the rep that I would be moving out today September 2nd and she said ok let Me know when you are done. What she did not say was that I would still be Charged for the entire month. Obviously if I had known I wouldn't have even touched anything in my storage unit. I'm still healing from 4 surgeries and figure I would save some money by moving out today with everything that's going on with the pandemic but this place is a RIP OFF and I'll will definitely let all my service members in the military know not To rent from this company and clearly the customer service isn't that great. I called the district manager and was unable to reach him, I left a message let's see if he even gets back to me! This company is disgusting taking advantage of hardworking people. Not to mention when I got the unit it was one price then all of a sudden the price just went $21 for no reason and all they said is the prices can change! My codes were never sent via text or email, since I'm unable to go in person to get my codes, my health won't allow it I'm paying for an empty locker. Family were going to move my things for me, I reserved and paid for this as the codes were to be texted, my family are ready to move my things in, until my body allows me to come in person to pick up my codes I'll pay for an empty space. Your dad reads rent via online, even pay the fee to pay online. I've called, no luck, I'm required to go in person. That's not what your add reads. read more

Problem in bottom units with efflorescence. No compensation available for all of our items that had it all over the bottom of them and any cardboard boxes were moist on bottoms. It's bad because it indicates moisture and legally they need to deal with their builder or fix it. When asked if they could give us anything off of our rent, the answer was no and to bring it up with insurance. They offered another unit but we would have to be the ones moving everything. Also rent jumped up 30% a year in consecutive years. Front desk people are nice but have no authority to contact headquarters about anything. Horrible company. We got our stuff out of there. No loyalty from them for having our stuff there for 5 years. Rent started at $100 something and was up to $579 in 4 years with a unit looking like this. No response from headquarters even though we emailed them. Do not store your stuff here if you can help it. They told us they only sweep it out and it stays there for the next tenant. It keeps happening because there is moisture coming up through the ground. read more

Very unhappy. Had reservations all set up for my son who was moving out of college for the summer. He had to work late so was all stressed out but got his stuff loaded and got to the place 15 minutes before they closed. I had done everything online so the paperwork would have gone quickly but they turned him away. Said they didn't want to deal with it so close to closing. He had all of his stuff in a friends pickup and were forced to find another location on the spot. He went with Price Self Storage on Murphy Cannon Rd he was in and out of the place, including unloading his stuff, within 20 minutes. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They don't even deserve 1/2 of one. They are sneaky thieves who will reel you in with a "good deal" but then hike up your rate/rent once you set up auto pay and when you ask why you weren't notified they will swear they sent you an email. What I find interesting is that if you DONT make a payment all of a sudden they can email, text, call, etc. but not when they want to increase the rate??? That makes zero sense. Lastly, who raises rent during a pandemic SMH Completely unethical and ludacris that a company would be okay with doing that. Oh, but they "notified me" and I'm still "getting a great rate" "they could be charging more for my unit" Please. Complete BS. read more

I give the place two stars because it is gated and coded but besides that I hate it. We initially started out playing $150 for our unit and then they raised it up to $210 and now $235. All in less than a year. This is completely crap. Why raise prices in a pandemic. This place is shady and a rip off. In the past year that I have had a storage here they have gone through at least 6-7 managers. The employees never know what's going on, the office is always closed. There is absolutely nothing good about this storage. Worse place in town. Rates go up constantly & sometimes without notice. They always seem to tag on "additional fees". am very disappointed with the quality of the storage unit. I paid over $200 to store my brand new furniture to this storage unit because I was told that this was a very nice and neat storage facility. After just one week of having my belongings in the unit I started to see an abundance of cockroaches. The facility at this time was doing all new pavement construction. I notified the front desk and made calls to alert that the infestation was happening. I was simply ignored and told to call CS. I'm still expierencing cockroaches.... I want to reiterate that all my belongings are BRAND NEW. I just want my money back. read more

I rented a 10x10 unit barely 5 months ago for $149. I got a letter today saying my rent has gone up to $185. These people are a rip off raising the rent for almost 1/3 of the original rent less than five months. The area is very gettho and the staff is dysfunctional and rude. I had a fantastic experience with this location. The facility is very well managed and run well, it is clean, all of the staff members are extremely helpful, super knowledgeable and very friendly. They made the experience that much easier and that much more enjoyable. The staff is well versed in what they do and always willing to help. This is by far the best experience I have ever had with storage units and I have had many!! I will never rent at public storage ever again! Their service sucks! Their hours suck! It's like they intentionally make it inconvenient so you're literally stuck in their facility so they can get more $ from you! Although I was aware of the hours beforehand, the cost made it at least enticing because it was cheap considering the size of my unit. Of course the price was a bait and switch because soon after, the price not only went up once, but twice! I lost my job due to Covid-19 and could not afford my storage any longer so I tried to vacate to avoid going into another month and had already begun the process within the month. I paid a partial which was all I could afford at the time and had removed most of my belongings. Before the end of the month, I tried to clear everything but wasn't allowed access even though I made them aware of my unfortunate situation. I didn't want to go into another month because that would only set me further behind. I was told just pay the balance and if you go into another month, it's only the normal rent. Hello?! If I can't afford it as it is, how is it that you say ONLY another month? Public Storage has no compassion for struggling Americans even amidst a pandemic and could care less what anyone is going through. They don't care at ALL! I've done research and there are plenty of other facilities with BETTER hours and BETTER rates. Don't trust the cheap move in cost, it will skyrocket! DON'T RENT HERE! read more

They are VERY deceptive, they tell you HAVE to take their insurance and if your home owners policy covers it you can cancel the next day...what they don't say is that there is no possibility of getting a refund for that month. They don't tell you that ALL you have to say is that you don't want the insurance because you have a home owners policy. I told the woman "I have a really good home owners policy, so I don't think it's an issue." She said "you have to have insurance, just cancel it tomorrow". When I confirmed my policy covers storage like almost all of them do, and tried to cancel PS's insurance I was told I would have to pay for the current month. When I complained they said there was nothing they could do except take a note for the district manager. I know it's only $11, but it's the principle of being lied to like that...AND all the upselling she tried to do on other things. Now I'm wondering what else was a rip off with these people. I will be out of there before next month...TOTAL waste of money going to find a place that does not use deception to get more money out of their customers. read more
