If it weren't for the nice staff id give this place a 1 star. I had a drive up unit enough for a car size, i forget the dimension but its the biggest they got. I had that for a year before going into one a 1/3rd of the size to reduce costs, the nice staff gave me really good one right next to the entrance. I ended up after 2 years in the small unit getting my rent increased to more than what i was paying for the big drive up. If you're looking for long term, this isnt it. read more

The staff, when at this location are helpful when on site. The issue with this facility is the actual management. There is no consistent staff in the office during the week and the posted hours the office is supposed to be open. When you call the number for assistance, while stating you do not have internet access, they do not call you back. Instead, they send you a link to their website by text and ask you to sign in to get the information. The door codes when you rent an interior storage unit are not available on your account. When dealing with the phone program you have to press "4" multiple times before it allows you to get through, to leave a message. They have no issues when you need to make a payment, but don't respond when you actually need assistance. Bad customer service is not the way to keep customers. Since this is not the first time I have experienced this with PS, they will no longer receive my business after this month ends. read more

Brianna was more than helpful when it came to choosing the perfect size unit for me. As soon as I walked in and saw a huge welcoming smile, I knew it was going to be a smooth ride from there. The atmosphere over all was great! The place was nice and clean. The customer service was phenomenal. Brianna had answers to all of my questions and was very knowledgeable. Definitely the best experience I've had purchasing anything! I was actually purchasing a unit in a different location while being in that one but Brianna was more than happy to accommodate and walked me through the app in doing so. This is the highest quality public storage I've used thus far! Size, cleanliness, friendliness, location.

Meh... I honestly was not impressed by this public storage at all. My partner and I used a storage room for 6 months, the plan was to use it during a move and while we were remodeling our garage and needed space to store our belongings. We signed up during summer and they had a 50% off deal, which is why we came here vs somewhere closer to home. My guess is they hope students will rent a storage unit over summer for a few months, and so they are trying to sell the units quickly. So great, we upgrade to a larger unit because of the deal. Then a few months in, they increase the prices on us! They said it is one of their regular prices increases to cover rising costs of running the place but it just was a bit suspect that we get this unit at such a deal and very quickly prices rise. The second issue I had was their hours. Upon clearing out the unit, a few friends came by to grab some of the stuff we would have otherwise donated, and we decided to meet at 9 am. I never once thought to check their hours, because 9 am on a Friday seems to be a reasonable time you would think a storage unit would be open... wrong!!! They didn't open until 930 am. The hours are a small window (930-5ish) and that is totally ridiculous for anyone with an alternative schedule! Their staff was a bit rude to me while we sat and waited for them to open and I just generally would not recommend them. It wasn't the worst possible experience, I just think the hours and the cost going up were a bit silly. Other than those things I did feel that our belongings were safe in the unit so generally they served their purpose... read more

I rented a storage unit here in mid May 2019 and in early October I received notice of a price increase....of 34%!!! From $167 to $218 per month. I called to ask about the increase and was told it was due to increased monthly costs, but they immediately offered to request a rate decrease. Two days later I received a call telling me my request was denied, but they would try again next month. What kind of business practice is that?! And what business increases a monthly payment by 34% in less than 6 months?! I had two friends call and ask about their pricing including how often they raise their pricing on current tenants, and both times they were given vague "not very often" statements, which is clearly untrue! AVOID PUBLIC STORAGE on 54th STREET unless you really like price gouging! read more

I rented a unit and had a credit on my account and yet my lock was cut and I was locked out of my own unit. The personnel at the office could not tell me why this had happened. To add insult to injury once I was able to get back into the unit my cut lock was left on the floor, as if I would still have use for it. I spoke to the manager as the sales associates are unable to provide a day of credit for the inconvenience but he could not add the credit till two weeks later when the account no longer had a credit on it. I ended up not needing the unit the full month and was not able to get my credit at all. There was a lack of communication and common sense to check accounts thoroughly before cutting someones lock, I did not even receive a phone call to advise me my lock would be cut. I will never do business with this company again. read more

I was very impressed with the location, size and customer service of this storage facility. The units were clean and there was units available right away. Cinnamon, the lady who worked there, was friendly, knowledgable and very helpful in assisting me in choosing the right unit! She was wonderful to work with! The facility was well laid out and is all one story, which is better for loading and unloading heavy furniture and boxes. The employees are very professional and have extensive knowledge of their job, which is helpful when choosing what size storage you need. I highly recommend! read more

This is a really nice facility! The storage units are all on the first level. There's no need to use elevators. You just drive up to your storage and start unloading. The customer service here was great. Shawnte was genuine, helpful, and efficient. I'd recommend this location for anyone who has been to the other Public Storage locations and didn't particularly like them. read more

I will NEVER again use public storage to hold my property!!! They have outrageous stupid prices, they give you the first month for free. Which you have to pay $35 for assement fees, then they want $25 if you pay a day late!! If you were smart you would never go there either! There are storage places all around that area! read more

Don't do business with these people. They tell you one thing and then do another. I decided to rent a unit after being assured by PS staff that I could use it for business. A year later some ass**** manger tells me that I cannot use the unit for business and that I had to leave. He disabled my gate code without telling and was rude and insulting when I explained why I had rented the unit in the first place. I was glad to leave and went to Price which is 100 times better. I will never recommend nor do business ever again with Public Storage!!! read more
