More interested in jawboning amongst themselves, making sure their cola drink was full. No one even addressed me. Manager finally caught on at the very end, very enthusiastic apology. Very. But gave me shade on my previous experiences at this place. She offered some sort of freebie, I declined as I was very later picking up my wife - what she needed to give was the time back that they wasted for me and apologize to my wife. Oh, and when I got home, my order was wrong. Hard pass on this place. You have been warned.

The service and ambience were great. A fancy dining experience with fantastic service…read more The food was definitely not up to par for the experience. For an appetizer we chose the Ahi tuna poke stack, this was by far the best dish that was on the table. With good appetizers the expectations were definitely set higher for the rest. We also had a New York Strip, Braised Short Rib, and a side of Fleming's Potatoes. For the New York Strip, it was asked to be medium rare, but came out rare. The flavor was good but for this type of setting and restaurant, I would say the meat should never not be done properly. Unacceptable. The Braised Short Rib flavors were good. But again, the meat was just not done properly. A tougher chew than expected for braised meat. The potatoes were also somewhat dry and a whole different temperature than the meat coming out of the kitchen. The Fleming's Potatoes were good. I don't know if the cheese on top is supposed to be crunchy by the time it comes to the table, but would've preferred it to be more melty. It was better when I reheated them for leftovers. Overall for it being a fancier option for a steakhouse and for them miss the key points they should highlight, it was disappointing. Definitely not worth the price. The staff were all friendly and made the experience more enjoyable.

Having visited the Troy location on multiple occasions over the years, most recently on Mother's…read moreDay, I have consistently had a disappointing experience. The food quality remains subpar relative to the premium pricing, with steaks frequently served overcooked. Beyond the poor execution in the kitchen, management's failure to enforce a basic dress code or standards of decorum significantly degrades the brand, reducing what should be an elevated fine-dining atmosphere to the feel of a casual Detroit sports bar. On my initial visit, a guest inside the dining room was permitted to wear a full sweatsuit, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. Upon leaving, I discovered discarded Hennessy liquor bottles left directly beside my vehicle's front bumper. Years later, on Mother's Day, the overall ambiance remained severely compromised. An adjacent table spent considerable time individually declining multiple credit cards for baked chicken dinners, while another patron seated directly at the bar wore sagging basketball shorts below his rear end leaving his exposed undergarments directly on the stool seating. By tolerating these conditions for so long, Ruth's Chris Troy has fundamentally undermined its own culture and standard of hospitality.

The restaurant is dimly lit with beautiful light fixtures and decor, tables were covered in linens and candles on each table. The hostess greeted us and sat us right away. We were immediately given bread and water while we waited....for almost 20 minutes until the waitress greeted us. She had 3 tables besides us and it was very clear we were in her section. There was no other wait staff in this section. She barely checked in on us and offered a 1 refill on my drink and not my husband's the entire time we were there. She also brought out the wrong side dish with his meal...just to add insult to injury. The star of the show was the food. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. My scallops were one of the best I've had, sides were standard for a steak house and salads could have been a little fresher. We will definitely be back the food was very good. We just hope we are not sat with the same waitress.

Hostess was very attentive and she seated us promptly as we arrived for our reservation. She was hustling all night. Interior was nice and clean, the chairs were extremely comfortable. I was a little sticker shocked at the prices, but I was not aware that each entree is served with soup, salad, and a side. Given that the prices were more acceptable for a steak house type atmosphere. They have a bar for cocktails but no beer on draft, I thought that was a little odd. Bread basket was very good. Warm and fresh bread with some rub of the milk bread sticks and crackers. French onion soup was very good. Although might have been a little over reduced. I would prefer that over a watery alternative. Salad was just a plate of lettuce, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes, with dressing. Nothing special. No cheese or croutons. Steak and potato - first off if multiple people order the same steak at the table they should all be about the same size. That was not the case. The person we were there celebrating had a wonderfully cut and cooked steak. Was about twice the size of mine and a very nice cut. Mine was significantly smaller and a good 1/4 of it was a fat hunk that my dogs got to enjoy. Also the cooks were not as expected. Mine was to be medium rare and the others medium. Mine was medium to medium well. The potato was odd, I've never seen a potato served unopened and dry - no butter. Only a small dollop of sour cream in the side. I asked for baked potato with butter - I'm glad we still had some left over from the bread basket. Finally we were there for the start of the live music. Not sure they have to sing happy birthday for each individual person. We got it five times and then once more with a late arrival. The music was loud and took away from the setting. Finally a big pet peeve is not bringing the check and then taking forever to cash us out. Table is cleared left overs boxed up let us leave! Would I go back maybe. If I had a choice between Texas Roadhouse steak or a Clawson Steakhouse steak I'm choosing Roadhouse.

Not a good start, but this is where the evening turned for the better: Our server was Sofie, who started by greeting us by name and confirming that we were celebrating a birthday. Sofie asked if I had a favorite dessert (creme brulet) , and she expressed that she would make a complimentary creme brulet happen for us. Through out the evening, Sofie was terrific. she was very personable and was attentive without being annoying. I wish every server we ever have had was as outstanding as Sofie was. On to the food: I had the 18 oz Wagyu bone-in strip, which was cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely fantastic. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which was melt in your mouth good. We had the Sweet Potato casserole and Cremed Spinach with bacon, both of which were outstanding. All in all it was one of the best meals we had had, anywhere. We already are planning our return and we will be asking for Sofie as our server!!

Located on very busy Woodward north of the town. Half valet parking, which blocks off the handicapper spots. A really nice appearing building, inside and out. Inside is the reservation and check in desk, with a side seating area and private wine lockers open to the room air but labeled with the owner's names. Two large rooms, spread out tables, and huge wine cellars in glass meant to impress. The beer selection is lacking. I had the burger and it was really good. At the same level as the One Eyed Betty burger, but more rich. My wife had the crab cakes, and they were excellent. I shared one, and it was the best we have had back here in Michigan. She also had the crab and corn soup, and it also was excellent. This place is VERY pricey, and the heavily promoted dinner for two with a shared tomahawk steak is $200. But the staff was great.

Value was good; about $20 for a burger and fries in this location is pretty hard to beat. The burger was delicious. High quality meat that was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. No complaints on the meat. The bacon was awesome. They should really just call it pork belly because that's what it is, but nice flavor and no giant chunks of inedible fat which means it was cooked to perfection. The sauce was like a pickle mayo combo; very nice. The fries were solid. They could have been a bit crispier, but hey were adequately salted which was great. Decent portion on them as well. Overall, this is a top tier burger on par with some of the big boys you think of when it comes to who has the best burger in the area. Pleasantly pleased with this one. 5 star burger, 4 star fries.
