A friend had said Stonefire had the best Caesar Salad they'd ever tried, so we decided to head over. And in fact, trust me, their Caesar salad dressing is outstanding. Warning: it's for garlic lovers only!!! We ordered extra on the side and kept commenting that we wished they sold the stuff by the jar to take home. Their approach to service is a little spotty, so our guest's beer never arrived, but they happily refunded it as we were leaving. The tri-tip by itself is very tender, but it does need the blue cheese sauce on it and we thought it needed more of that. Babyback ribs and garlic mashed potatoes were good. Mr. Picky asked our guest if he could steal one of his breadsticks, and I have to say they're far better than most. Overall, I'd normally give this 3 stars, but the caesar salad dressing (order extra for a small cost) is enough to make me feel very generous and take them to 4 stars. read more

Iv'e been eating at Stonefire since it opened and have never been disappointed. I was throwing a business party for about 100 people and decided to have them do the food catering. The restaurant manager told me to call the catering phone number which concerned me a little because sometimes you can't explain exactly what you want over the phone especially when dealing with food. We talked to the catering dep't three times and each time was great. All of the people were very knowledgeable about their food and services and we felt the order was what we wanted. On the day of the party three lovely young ladies showed up on time. They set up a very nice presentation and served on time. Everything looked nice, smelled and tasted great. We got plenty of compliments on the food. One of the girls helped serve the cake after dinner which was a big help. They cleaned up and were off on time and it never looked liked they were there. My hat is off to Stonefire Grill for a job well done and we never had to lift a finger. read more

The food is just fine... huge menu, lots of selection, and reasonably priced. You're basically eating in an upscale cafeteria though. Not a place to come if you want full-service waitstaff. Huge seating area both inside and out. There are tons of kids around and the noise level is VERY LOUD especially because it's echoey, no noise-dampening curtains or ceiling tiles etc. Don't come here if you don't like kids... particularly unattended kids whose parents let them run rampant. read more

My family and I have been to Stonefire Grill in the past and have loved it, without any problems. However, today my family and I went into Stonefire and got food to go. We ordered a family meal consisting of bread sticks, half bbq chicken, Caesar salad and half "bbq" tri-tip for $45. We kindly asked the lady at the register if we would be able to get some extra bbq sauce as we weren't given any. She quickly replied and said that the tri-tip already has "bbq" sauce on top of the tri-tip. Although, as seen in the picture there is no bbq sauce. So we kindly asked the lady again about getting a couple extra containers of bbq sauce. She rudely told us that she would have to charge us extra for every container of bbq sauce. We've never remembered being charged extra for bbq sauce, and believe the person tried to unnecessarily charge us for extra bbq sauce. Also, we wanted our tri-tip cooked medium, but it came out to be so well-done that it was tough and hard to eat. Yet again, we've always gone to stonefire and have never had a problem with the service, but today really raised some alerting concerns. read more

i love this place and its without the fuss of a waiter and you can sit down and enjoy your meal in peace. Ive been to this location twice and have had minor problems but they've always been really awesome about fixing them. the first time our food came before our salads, bread and drinks! which is such a disappointment cause we never got our salads and they have one of the BEST CAESAR SALADS EVER!!! but they gave us a huge slice of carrot cake to go to make up for things which is amazing too. the second time, we ordered the carrot cake (to go) after our meals but when it was time the guy said they may only have one small piece left (we ordered big) and then he came back telling us they were out! i was so sad, but again they refunded us and we left w a slice of cheesecake which actually one of the better NY Cheesecakes I've had. I've had their chicken, tri tip and fish. It's ALL good. But if you get the salomn and you order "lemon garlic", make sure you like garlic...cause its covered in it. it was slightly overwhelming and i'm pretty sure i smelled for a day. They are reasonably priced for the quality of food, excellent customer service, super nice counter kids, and the place itself is really nice looking with an outdoor patio. def one of my favorite places. read more

It was my first time dining in at stonefire today. I went in with a couple of friends. I usually do takeout but we all decided to come in today. All the workers were very nice and friendly which was great! People at register were very helpful as well! I decided to order the BBQ chopped salad w/tri-tip and it was excellent! I usually just stick with the south of the border but today I wanted to order something different. We got our food and everything was great! Nancy, our server was very friendly and sweet! Tried this out because I was looking for something different something i normally don't eat. So I tried their tri tip which was very tender and juicy. Loved how the different flavor exploded inside my mouth and it was delicious specially since I'm not a big fan of bbq. So why 3 stars??! because even though I loved my plate I will probably not come here as often....but that's just my personal taste. read more

How can anyone like this place???!! We went this Sunday and bought the tortilla soup, pasta with marinara, BBQ chicken wrap and the pest chicken sandwich..... THE most DISGUSTING and FLAVORLESS food we have EVER had.... One thing was delicious, the mashed potatoes, so we all had mashed potatoes for dinner. Smh read more

This is a good place for a quick lunch. The tortilla soup is good, it's a blended, creamy version of tortilla soup but very flavorful. All the salads I've tried have been good, but my personal favorite is the Greek salad, add chicken. The best thing about the salads is the HUGE portions. A small salad will easily feed 2 people, probably with some leftovers. The pizza here is decent, the flavors are good but the only drawback for me is the crust, which I personally think it is a bit rubbery. The sandwiches are ok, but nothing to write home about. I like the concept here, of ordering your own food and what not, but feel like the prices are high considering that. And most of the food is on the bland side, nothing too exciting. read more

Regardless of the other ratings and reviews, I had a great first experience last night at Stonefire Grill. I was prefaced with the fact that it was a "serve yourself" type of place with good food at decent prices. I was not disappointed. :o) The place has a woodsy feel to the decor, reminding me of the Grand Californian Hotel next to Disneyland for some reason. On the suggestion of the only one of us who had come here before, we got the family deal with an upgrade to a tri tip chopped salad. The meal was divine. About 3 minutes after we sat down, the food started arriving. We started off with 2 baskets of fresh out of the oven garlic breadsticks. Then the BIG bowl of chopped salad came, complete with steaming tri tip on top. The waiter that put it on our table spun it with a flourish as he put it down and one tomato cube flew out. Fun. ;) There were tomatoes, back beans, and roasted corn in the salad and for someone who doesn't even really like salad, it was good. Then came the sausage and mushroom pizza with amazing melted mozzarella. Shortly thereafter, what I was waiting for arrived: the tri tip. It was perfectly cooked to a nice and pink medium cut into 20-ish centimeter thick slices with just the right amount of BBQ sauce. It was juicy and not at all tough - and I LOVE my meat! Embarrassingly, I think I literally ate half of the tri tip. Lastly, the chicken came in all its tender yumminess. The damage for 7 of us with leftovers to spare? Less than $80 including tax and tip. Some other Yelpers have said that the price is semi-high, but I thought this was a great deal for an awesome meal. We topped off our dinner with a slice of decadent carrot cake and blueberry cheesecake. You can't get this much variety at Wood Ranch for under $15 a person! :D read more

Goodness suburbs... it's been a while! Lots of free parking (with spots that are quite large and luxurious) and restaurants with lots of space. It was a bit confusing to try and find this place with the strip malls all around it, but found it eventually and loved the casual atmosphere. I wanted baby back ribs but not an enormous amount. The person at the register recommended the kids meal... Love that! I hate when places are sticklers for people ordering off of the kids meal. Hey, sometimes people want smaller portions! It was perfect with a delicious garlic bread. What was also delicious was bf's wrap he made with the south of the border salad. I ended up eating half of it. It was pretty amazing because it would've been good for 2 meals! He got it with the tri tip and it was really good. Great amounts of veggies and corn that actually was still sweet. The wife was telling me that we had to try a new griiiiillllllll.... so I said sure and off we went to Stonefire Grill. I was impressed with the variety on their menu as not only did they have bbq but also pizza, pasta, salads, and other stuff. I ordered a tri tip/rib combo and the wife got a salmon. I got a greek salad to go with my meal and the wife got a southwestern. I gotta say I was surprised at how tender the meats were. I also liked the tangy bbq sauce. The wife's salmon was also pretty good and the sesame glaze was deeeelisshhhh. Also come with garlic bread sticks which are also highly recommended. This is not high end gourmet but if you are looking for a nice satisfying meal, this is the place to go. read more

My dad wanted to eat here after hearing an ad on the radio. The setup, quality of food, and atmosphere struck me as the kind of restaurant you'd find at a touristy area - like in Disneyworld. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but that's what it reminded me of. My husband said he thought it was more like an upscale family restaurant. The service is friendly and pretty efficient. The food is only okay and I found most of it to be too greasy. Of the things I got to sample I liked the BBQ salad the most. None of us were that impressed with the food but it seems like the BBQ is the thing to get which we didn't try. So maybe that would have been more enjoyable. It's all about the tri-tip here. It's always tasty and tender. I like the cartwheel salad too. A great option if you have a get together you need to cater for. Been here twice and it was good both times. Got the pepper garlic tri tip with Gorgonzola butter, Caesar salad, breadsticks, & cheese cake. All were delicious and reasonably priced. Service is quick. Casual dining here. U order first then sit anywhere u like and they bring the food to u. Soft drinks are self served. read more

I have been a regular at this place since God knows when. It's even a go to place for me especially when I need to take my friends from out of town to dine here in SoCal. We're lucky that Stonefire is fairly close by to our home b/c the locations of these are not that many. The yummy (smoke one-of-a-kind flavor) and tender trip tip is our staple and so is their tomesto pasta (a combination of tomato marinara and pesto pasta). Definitely a must-try in SoCal! read more

First time trying take out. I didn't want to wait in long lines for mother's day so I went ahead and place an order. The process was great! The young lady I spoke with was super helpful and really friendly. Once I got to the restaurant to pick up, I did not have to wait at all! My food was ready to go. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was great! My mom loved it. The salmon is always my favorite. The chicken was super yummy. The pizza is a bit on the greasy side. I really enjoyed having lunch here! I am vigilantly watching my weight and it's always a challenge to eat out. This place has plenty of healthy options that are fresh and flavorful. Stonefire Grill has a great ambiance and this location has a huge patio. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel this restaurant is way overpriced: $24 for a glass of run-of-the-mill red wine, lemon garlic chicken breast (a la carte), and roasted veggies with feta (small). read more

About 8 years ago, my piano teacher took me here for lunch and I've been a fan ever since. One star down because the chicken is kind of dry...but I haven't ordered chicken there in a while and the other items I've tried have made up for it. The pesto pasta, southwest salad, garlic bread sticks, tri tip are all delicious. Price wise, you get what you pay for. It's not too pricey and the amount is worth it. It's a super casual place where you order at the front and they bring your food out to you, but you get all your own utensils and what not. Terrible! I placed a big order and was so excited for my family to try this place my husband and I rave about. We picked up the food and came home and started serving our family and the minute I opened the tri-tip I saw it was over cooked. The meat looked boiled. We ordered it medium rare. My husband said the chicken had a funny smell so he didn't bother eating any. I was so embarrassed. I have been to this establishment in the past and I was pleased, so I thought getting take out for my family was a great idea. I was wrong. read more
