What an amazing place! It's literally a hole in the wall that is well worth the visit. There is a kiosk at the front for a quick order and about 6 tables inside. If you prefer, walk deeper into the store and you can order from the counter. The place is spotless, updated and trendy be design. The shining star is the food. The lamb shawarma is fantastic. Visited again but we dined in this time. We ordered using the kiosk and seated ourselves. It took about 10-15 min for our food to be served. There are only about 5 tables inside, and there's a restroom. Portions are still quite generous and very filling. We packed leftovers. They provide water cups upon request. The chicken shwarma plate is still my favorite with very tender and flavorful chicken paired with garlic paste sauce. The chicken kebab is more on the dry side and has fewer pieces. read more

I was excited to try out this Mediterranean place with good yelp review. We stopped by for work lunch. When I arrived before noon, there were already two tables of customers. The menu I had a great variety of choices. Prices a little higher than the neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant but we wanted to give it a try. I ordered the chicken kebab and my co worker ordered the lamb. The ambiance is nice and cozy. Brand new decor as a new restaurant. We waited about 30 minutes before the food was served. As we started eating, we saw more people coming in for the lunch rush. The food is good, I could taste the grill. The hummus is seasoned well, not too salty. The rice is fluffy and the pita bread is good. I understand the new restraint has to test and fine tune their kitchen operation. Maybe I will come back half a year later after they figured out a more efficient operation. In the Monrovia, there are many choices of good Mediterranean restaurants with excellent food and better prices. Gosh who knew I'd get to an age where I'd actually use the coupons from our quarterly local magazine that features local businesses that give you coupons for said businesses. We found ourselves here on a night we didn't feel like cooking, with a 10% coupon off your total bill in hand. You can't use the kiosk and do have to order at the register, but it went very smoothly. There were other patrons there having dinner, which was nice to see. We ordered two plates for carry out - beef lule kebab and lamb shawarma. Comes with pilaf rice, grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño, a salad and pita with hummus. Also came with tzatziki and toom. We were told it would take 15-20 minutes and they kindly offered us hot tea while we waited, for a to go order! That was so nice of them, seriously. We didn't mind the wait at all. The food was so fresh with amazing portions and it was so delicious. So much food for the price! My lamb shawarma plate was easily two meals for me. We had dinner at Kababstic. The place has indoor/outdoor seating. The server, offered us tea as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. The tea is served hot in a beautiful small kettle and glass cups, so aesthetically pleasing. The tea is so good, a must have for sure. I had the beef plate with no rice (extra salad), bowl of hummus, grilled veggies and pita. The beef is perfectly marinated and tender, the pita is thin, which is perfect for my liking, the salad dressing is fragrant, herby, and the hummus is topped with whole chickpeas, herbs and olive oil. My daughter had the falafel plate, which is a generous portion of croquettes, rice, salad, hummus, and tahini sauce. The food is fresh, delicious and fragrant. Let's talk about this food! It's now my favorite out of my three go-to Mediterranean restaurants. The portions are just right and they've been consistent in quality. One reason I like Yelp is that it leads me to places like this when I'm traveling. In the mood for some Mediterranean fare near our hotel, I located Kababstik Mediterranean Grill on Yelp. It's a nice, comfortable location with plenty of parking. There are about six tables inside and a few outside. When we got there, all the tables were full, but we were fortunate that people at one table were just leaving, so we were able to get a table inside. You order from a kiosk and can, as we did, type in special requests. In our case, I ordered the Shrimp Grilled Plate and my partner ordered the Chicken Kabob Plate. We each asked for "double salad" instead of rice. The meals were excellent. The salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage) was cold and fresh. There was an oil/vinegar dressing on the salad that was nice, but not overpowering. The shrimp (two skewers - 10 medium size shrimp total - a good portion) was well-seasoned and nicely grilled. My partners chicken was moist and flavorful. Each Plate came with a thin pita bread and healthy portion of hummus. I usually don't eat pita bread because it is thick and bready, but this was nice and thin. The food was delivered to the table by a friendly server. We tried the Kabab stick combo plate which included the marinated filet mignon, chicken breast, and beef lule (Kafta) The beef was so tender and juicy. So much flavor! I had the steak combo...others in my party had the lamb and chicken. I wish I had the lamb as my friends were boasting about the taste. My filet was a bit medium-well...I should have requested medium-rare...so that's on me...the server didn't ask...but next time...I'll request M-Rare. When I came in I found my self in a small restaurant with just four 4-tops. They have a good assortment of shawarma plates, sandwiches and starters as well as desserts. There's two ways: first, the automated system touch key or order your meal by the owner. When we ordered our meal, the owner was told, "Do we want tea? we say yes, the tea is complimentary. It feels like we are in the Middle East. The tea was very good we enjoyed it very much. He brought our meal and two plates we were sharing our meal but one bite we we're loving it. The chicken kabobs were very tender, and season 6 rice was cook perfect fluffy and rich in flavor . The salad was very good fresh, and I enjoyed the pickle turnip very much. My family stopped by to try this place which opened 10 days ago and had to immediately write how fantastic everything was. They gave my dad a free cup of freshly brewed tea when he arrived while he waited for the food, which was made to order. We got the beef and chicken plate as well as the lamb plate and it was all well-seasoned and not overcooked/burnt or dry, which sometimes is the case with some Mediterranean place I've been to. Prices are comparable to other Mediterranean places, maybe a little more but they give you the full peppers and a grilled tomato. It actually located right next to Sesame Grill, a staple Western food restaurant owned by Hong Kong couple where is now closed for business. The lamb skewers are excellent! It's tender no sheep smell It's real meat chunks! Beef wise is just average. I'm not able to taste like Filet Mignon. It's bit dry w/minimum beef flavor. Long grain rice is so flavorful cooked a Dante. Salad n Hummus are okay. It's also served w/2-pita bread. It tasted like a pre-production bread. The Middle Eastern owner is very polite and friendly. Each dining is served /hot tea in a glass cup. Sugar on aside for your taste. I enjoy the tea w/hint of mint flavor. It's a perfect match w/food here!
