Come here quite often because their food is good and it's pretty inexpensive. Came with four people and we got a stimulus package which comes with tri tip, two topping pizza, small salad and bread sticks. It is enough food, with some leftovers. I believe the price is around $27. Not bad, not bad at all! It's almost always packed here, but the lines move pretty quick and the food comes out pretty quickly as well. Lots of seating. When we entered in, 3-4 servers were standing near the entrance chit-chatting away. We order our food and started hunting for open tables. Then we saw 7-8 tables that were completely filthy. Where were the servers to help clean up? None around. Until we complained bc we had no where to place an open seating for our food. Then we asked one of the employees who where socializing with the other employees where we could find an open spot to sit. They motioned some area and went back talking to his fellow workers. Still we didn't find a seating. Frustrated we asked AGAIN for the 2nd time! Finally a gentlemen in a necktie started cleaning the tables himself! My comment here is that this restaurant is NOT WELL RUNNED! The general manager is nowhere to be found. He should be running. Their tri tip is very good. I always get their tri tip salad with extra bbq sauce. They also have large portions. Good casual atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. First you order, then you sit yourself. They bring your food to your table. read more

The cashier was really short we i was trying to decide on what to order. I asked him to get someone who would not mind helping me he change his attitude a little for the better. Now we found a table which was still wet but the seats were full of food when I asked to have the seats cleaned the woman/ waitress had an attitude. Someone finally showed up to clean the seats of course she left the seats wet. When I asked for the seats to now be dried the look she gave was out of the world. The BBQ is just okay. Not bad, but not great. At one point I could see how this could be highly rated here in SoCal. But no anymore, we have a handful of really good BBQ place open up, that makes places like this just ok. The Tri-Tip was cooked correctly and came out as requested medium rare, and while good was just not all that tasty, not of the wow flavors you can get out of a well prepared Tri-Tip. Family friendly affordable restaurant, the only drawback is that most of the time is pretty crowded with large parties and the parking is tiny. You might have to park at Carl's Junior or Trader Joe's if it's packed. My kids don't like their Mac & Cheese because it smells very garlicky. I love this place, although I normally go to the Valencia location. When I'm in Pasadena. I have to stop here. Casual dining, with an outdoor patio dining area. I like to order out from this place. My boyfriend likes the Chopped BBQ Salad. I like the Stonefire Favorite Pizza. We always order the same thing. But then he ends up eating most of my pizza and I end up eating a lot of his salad. Haha. I guess we kinda just share. Not a big fan of the dine-in option here. Kinda weird seating. I love that this place has great BBQ AND sides! We ordered the coleslaw, a Caesar salad and the ribs. The coleslaw was refreshing and had an extra crunch from the peanuts. The Caesar salad was good. I liked the hint of garlic that came with every bite of salad and the ribs were tender and juicy. Oh! Can't forget about the garlic bread! I loved the density of their bread and the ratio of garlic and cheese. I thought that it might have been overhyped but I really enjoyed it. 3 1/2 stars for the food, an additional half-star for the ambiance. I'm new to the area and have eaten a couple of meals here. Like others, I thought the tri tip was very good, and the breadsticks are delicious. I also came for lunch once and had a steak-and-cheese sandwich that was pretty good. Food-wise, my main criticism is that there's not much in the way of sides. This may be the only grill around that doesn't serve baked potatoes or french fries, and it's a little disappointing. The breadsticks do help soften that blow, though. One of the big positives here is the outdoor seating. When the fire's going, it's a great environment, and even when it's not, it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the sun. While the food isn't great or wide-ranging in nature, it's pretty good, and the ambiance is a plus. I'll be back! read more

Honestly I really love this place, but take out seems to under deliver each time. My mom went out to eat there with a friend last night. I asked for them to order take out for me. The Tri Tip meal is my go to with the mash potatoes, I also had a slice of cheesecake the one that's roughly 4.00?! When she got home the bag was missing bbq sauce, and had a small 1oz ( if that )of ceaser salad dressing, and a very small piece of cheesecake. Not sure why the portion of cheesecake was so small, however had this been delivered while dining in I would've sent it back as the portion is not equliviant to the cost. So unless you are extremely thorough and make sure you don't leave before making sure you have everything you need to make a 23.95 meal enjoyable your best bet is to dine in. read more

Food is good. Service is on par with the modern standards. However, don't get suckered into buying the large pasta bowl. They give the same amount as a small bowl. Today, we ordered a large bowl, but to our disappointment, they "ran out of large bowls, and gave us a small bowl instead, and tried to convince us that's the "same amount you would get as a large bowl." So for anyone coming here and ordering a large pasta bowl, don't do it. Edit: We got a smaller bowl to make up for the lack of large bowls. The staff was very nice but honestly the food is pretty terrible. I ordered the ribs and they had a strange taste so I ordered Mac n cheese since the one my daughter was eating taste great! When I got mine it taste like tons of garlic and clearly wasn't the same recipe as the one she was eating. Hers was nice and cheesy and cooked perfectly with a brown top. Ate here on Friday night with a friend for the first time since COVID and were very pleased with our experience! You order at the register and they bring your food out. Alyssa took our order and served us our food and she was very friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and even got us refills for the road. Patio is spread out and tables and chairs are sanitized after every use. The drinks and utensils used to be self serve but now a worker helps you with whatever you need which is another great measure they're taking to keep people safe. The lemon garlic salmon was to die for as always and my friend LOVED the meat sauce pasta. We love stonefire and will be back soon! read more

My friend and I have been here a few times. The food is always so good, and the staff is friendly. But we came here on the 4th of July and the booths were pretty gross. It was either the tables were dirty, or the tables and underneath the tables were dirty.The restaurant wasn't busy either, and once we got our drinks we were looking for a place to sit. OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I ordered to go using the STONEFIRE Grill Mobil app and it's AMAZING!! You can customize and substitute anything! My mom ordered the South of the border salad and she is very picky so she substitutes 5 things in her salad! I got the petite chicken breast and the tri tip. My steak was definitely over cooked but it tasted AMAZING with the Au Jus!! If you say "medium" the steak will be well done. If you say "medium rare" it will be medium. So I guess you have to say raw if you want it done medium rare. The lemon garlic chicken sauce is so delicious I could eat a whole cup of it! My meal also came with garlic mashed potatoes that were so delicious. The breadsticks are very flavorful and crunchy. THE HEAVENLY CHEESECAKE IS SO DELICIOUS IT'S PROBABLY ACTUALLY FROM HEAVEN. It is moist and creamy and the crust is so crunchy and sweet. PROBLEM: At the Pasadena location I dined in and needed some more sauce (lemon garlic). A guy wearing a black dress shirt who was probably the manager helped me out and said he would "bring it out to Me" TWICE!! But he didn't give me a number or anything. I waited for a long time and nobody ever came out side to bring me my sauce. My mom had to ask another waiter and he gave it to us immediately. I give this location such a good rating because the food is always consistent with its quality and most important, if the order or service is under par, management takes care of it immediately, no questions asked. Just yesterday, I took the family for lunch before a doctors appointment so we couldn't stay that long. Our order got lost and it took some extra time to get our food to the table. I asked to speak to a manager and he went out of his way to apologize and make things right. I understand restaurants make mistakes but this particular establishment always makes me feel that my needs always come first. Exceptional quality and quantity....(did I mention QUANTITY??) Portions are huge! We bought way more food than we could possibly eat, but this was a first visit and now we know! Ribs are cooked perfectly, the sides we got (we got the cauliflower, which was an entire whole head with a wonderful lemon tahini sauce I think, and a huge serving of garlic mashed potatoes) were very good. Each side could easily feed 4 -6 people. The "sleeper" in our order was the Salmon. WOW! For a rib place, they sure know how to do fish. Perfectly cooked with a choice of seasonings-- we opted for the lemon garlic. HUGE bowl of salad, and I couldn't count all of the garlic breadsticks that came with our meal. You basically order like you would at a fast food restaurant and then you go sit down somewhere of your choosing and the food will be brought to you. Still 4 stars. I returned today for lunch I was challenged by an individual because of my initial review that stated I thought it was a bit overpriced on some things. Today confirmed it again for me. 2 people 1 Petite Cobb Salad 1 SM Pepperoni Pizza 2 Drinks $24.20 +tip (15%+) = $28.20 Yes I think that's a few dollars expensive. Don't get me wrong, the food is good and we enjoyed our lunch, but I could still find some decent food at another place for cheaper...at least a few dollars cheaper.
