Food here is always consistently good but make sure to double check your order for take out. Just got home and realized my breadsticks are missing. Not worth the 20 minute drive each way to go pick it up. Food wise, the tri tip and pesto pasta are my favorites. The pizzas and salads are good too. read more

Great customer service. We had a large party, employees jumped into action in arranging tables. Easy to order and short wait time. Ribs a bit dry, rest of food was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit so we can try other options read more

Wow... Just wow. Was a fairly regular at the Fountain Valley Stonefire about 13 years ago, however, this one in Rancho Cucamonga leaves a whole lot to be desired. Order at the door and ask for a tip even prior to being served? First red flag. Get our own drinks? uhm, ok that's new as well. Plates and utensils go get them yourself? Again, all new. No waitress to take your order at your table, because you ordered on your way in the door. Just weird. First thing to arrive at our table, the family mac and cheese, 20 mins later our main meals. In between the salad which had so much cucumber in it and I finally got tired of picking it out I sent it back. Not so much as even one question as to why it wasn't eaten by the "server". Meals show up, send back the mac and cheese as it's not stone-cold and didn't come at the appropriate time, was delivered as if it was an appetizer. Not very friendly server, at all. I was SO excited about being able to go and eat at a stonefire near my new home, to have just an utter disappointment. Nothing is the same, food is lukewarm at best, stuff is brought out of order, not the friendlist servers or staff, just a total deflation of what my experience was back 13 years ago. Won't go again. For a $135 dollar meal for four people, I expected, WAY more out of this experience, and I'm not hard to please really. read more

Got half a tri tip. Friendly staff but it's all about the food. It was tough, chewy and not worth the $18 dollars. Never again will I even think about going here. read more

Our family loves Stonefire and we grew up in Santa Clarita where the original restaurant opened. We frequent different locations when we visit family around SoCal. This location in particular has gone downhill. The quality of the food isn't as good anymore. The food isn't as fresh. For example: The roasted cauli isn't freshly roasted. It's preroasted and stalked up high out in the open for all to walk by. Super unappetizing! The kitchen looks a mess. The chefs creepily stare you up and down as you walk to the restroom. The restroom is dirty. Plates are dirty. You have to ladle your barbecue sauce out of a soup container which seems totally unsanitary. It just isn't the same experience as the Stonefire we know and love. read more

Trip tip for 2 meal (not on regular menu) is a good deal for those who don't want to order a family sized meal. Came with bread sticks, salad, and a side. Good customer service as well. read more

After reading so many good reviews here, we decided to check this place out. We arrived around 5pm Sunday and there was no line & the place was half full. We ordered bbq tri-tip (incl cartwheel salad & breadsticks) & 1/2 bbq chicken (with caesar salad & breadsticks). Service was very friendly, helpful & pretty quick. However the food were disappointing. We could only took one bite of the tri-tip & ate a tiny bit of chicken. The tri-tip was flavorless & 'wet'. The chicken had a weird texture & tasteless.. Very disappointing... We couldnt understand why so many positive reviews. The salads were ok and the breadsticks were good. So we only finished our salads & left... NO, WON'T be BACK! We walked to a nearby place to get a plate of free-range roast chicken with 2 sides ($10) & a plate if steak with 2 sides ($10)..and went home happy! read more

I ordered Stonefire Grill for carry-out on their app, which was super easy! When I got to the store, my food was ready to go. The gentleman showed me all my food before I took it, which I appreciated because sometimes I want to check the food but it's awkward to check right in front of the cashier. I was driving home when I realized I forgot to ask for some more barbecue sauce. However, when I got home, I realized that they had already packed two large barbecue sauces for me!! Yassss. The tri tip was perfect and the ribs were delicious. The Greek salad was a little watery, but that's probably from the tomatoes and cucumbers. Their bread is always a hit with the family! read more

Love all their food and prices are reasonable. But their sandwiches have gone down hill. Very light on meat so I tried the vegetable sandwich and very weak on substance. How about going back to the old days with great sandwiches. read more

love stone fire! great food always hits the spot, only problem is they close too early!!!!! I get off work and i'm craving stonefire and it's always closed at 8-8:30 :;( read more

This place is so delicious! I love getting their petite tomesto pasta - it's the best of both worlds with a little bit of marinara pasta and a little bit of pesto pasta! It's enough for 2 people to share which is great. Their bread sticks are also incredible. They have a little bit of seasoning on top, and they're buttery and oily, so an amazing combination. They also have really good lunch combos with bread sticks + pasta! So check those out if you come at lunch time. There is a lot of seating inside, and plenty of parking available. read more

Stonefire is a favorite for us, you know that you will get friendly and fast service, and decent quality food with consistent flavor. Have been here well over a dozen times, and have always had a good experience. Really enjoy the Caesar salad, with its heavy garlic flavor, and the chicken breast bathed in lemon garlic is flavorful. Tri-tip is always tender, and we like the garlic butter sauce best. Can't beat the value of the Stimulus package, even with its price increase a few months ago. read more

A friend of mine used to work at one of the Stone Fire Grills and raved about it, so we made a mission down to Irvine to see what the "hype" was about. I ordered the salmon with some ranch beans, and for the price I couldnt believe the portions! The customer service was great and the cashiers were helpful. Loved the salmon, but I have to try the tri-tip next time! read more

First time here, and very impressed. Great food, good service, and quick to serve the food. From order to food being brought out was less than 15 minutes. Depending on what you get, their portions are huge. We made the mistake of order two large salads, we were a party of seven, and one could feed us and an additional three people. We also ordered the pesto pasta, tri-tip, and bbq chicken, and everything was delicious. From the tender tri-tip, to the juicy bbq chicken it all tasted amazing. Definitely coming back, and trying something ese from their expansive menu, and if I'm impressed as I was this time, they may get that 5-star rating. read more

I usually order only the tri tip half bbq half garlic pepper, breadsticks, and their Caesar salad. I'm in love with their Caesar's dressing. I sometimes just drop by to order the dressing. Their portions are also very generous. Great gathering place and great family portions. Their Mac n cheese is also very delicious. I can't speak for the other meats they have, but their tri tip makes us happy. I've had no issues with customer services at any of their locations. As a matter of fact, I'm going to order for pickup right after this! read more

So hard giving them three stars because I love their food. But the staff seemed so disorganized and all over the place during our visit. I don't come too often but the menu is so big I forget what combo of things I did the last time- because you want to try a bit of everything. The lady taking my order didn't seem to know the menu that well as I asked questions. There were four of us in our party and we ordered to go. About twenty minutes of waiting we asked three different people if our order was ready- they all seemed completely scattered and it took at least another five to figure out what was going on. Josh came in to save the day and found our orders. Food is always the same- delicious. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, honestly. My default is always the pesto pasta with a little side of tri tip and the breadsticks are heavenly. read more

Food is SOOOO tasty, just as I remembered it about 8 years ago. The tri-tip and mashed potatoes were amazing!!!

My family and I went here for a dual birthday celebration, and I want to let you know that it was a great experience, thanks to the manager AJ. He was fantastic. He was very intrsumental in making our experience memorable. Thank you AJ! read more

I've always loved this place, but unfortunately it seems this location is going downhill. Purchased 4 salads and all had rotten lettuce. Also all of the chicken breast meals were missing the lemon component, so we were left to eat oily chicken and carefully pick through our salads. So sad, I really loved eating here. read more

I can't get enough of Stonefire Grill. The food is extremely tasty and the service is friendly and efficient. They have such a great variety of salads, entrees, and pizzas to choose from, it's hard to get bored of their food. I usually order the small tri tip meal or the Stonefire's Favorite pizza and always have a ton of food leftover. Their portions are huge, so if you're on a budge or you aren't that hungry I'd recommend splitting an individual meal or pizza. My only complaint is that they overcook the tri tip. If you like your steak pink in the middle, order it rare. read more

Super fast service. Order from menu before sit down. Large menu & lots of options. First time trying this place & service was great. I ordered a keen salad w/quinoa, artichoke & roasted dried tomatoes & kale. So so good & refreshing. It's actually shareable with 2 people. Also pizza supreme is tasty with thin crust baked in stone fire, duh! Will come back. Lots of seats. read more

COLD food And picked up exactly 25 min after called like was told to. They Refunded but that's besides the point. The point was not too cook this evening and had to warm everything up and even add marinara bc the past was do dry. read more

I always smell the bbq smoke when I pass this restaurant and finally tried it. I ordered the tri tip for two with Cesar Salad and garlic mashed potatoes. The no contact pick up was perfect. I called the posted phone number and a very friendly server named Kyle brought my order immediately and placed it in my trunk. The salad was huge and their dressing is delicious! I loved that the potatoes weren't milky, they tasted liked a smashed baked potato cooked just right. And the tri tip was a perfect medium rare. I can't wait til the restaurant reopens. read more

We decided to give it another try after the management graciously reached out to me after the original review and this time we were much more pleased with the food. We were a party of seven and everyone was happy with their meals. It was my first time trying the pizza and I enjoyed it a lot. I will say that the staff isn't my favorite part. Its a large staff of young kids who don't seem to care too much. While we waited for a to-go order at the end of the meal, two or three of boys were very obviously goofing off, cracking jokes loudly, and drawing more attention than they should have. I get having fun at work, but these kids need to use more discretion and know when it's ok and when it's not ok to be rowdy. Come to think of it, the times we've gone in the recent past have been Sunday evenings and we've never noticed an actual grown adult working that shift. It's always a very young staff. Lastly, the breadsticks were about half the size they used to be. Not sure what happened there. We wondered if they were short on dough. Lol. Anway, Thank you Stonefire for your great customer service. I hope things continue to improve because we really do love Stonefire. read more

The food is delicious, great quality and the portions are very satisfying. The tri tip and lemon garlic chicken is totally recommended

Absolute pathetic excuse for a restaurant, I can't fathom why people actually pay to eat here. Took 35 minutes to receive a half cooked pizza. I only received the pizza because I brought my ticket to the window. Extremely bland food and incompetent employees. You couldn't pay me to return to this dump. I pray on the downfall of this establishment. read more

Stonefire Grill - Steak & Cheese Sandwiches - American Near Me - Irvine, California

I came here thinking it was an upscale grill/barbecue joint. Unfortunately, this is not what it was. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at their $20 tri-tip for 2 deal. I got a side of mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. It's kind of like a self-serve location where they bring the food to you, but you get plates/utensils/sauce yourself. Pretty quick service, servers were very nice, and food quality isn't comparable to a steakhouse, but hey, you're getting what you paid for. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely come here again. We even had leftovers for the next day. Next time, I want to try the mac n cheese - I've heard great things about it! read more

Stonefire Grill - American Near Me - Irvine, California

We stopped by for lunch after working out yesterday. I was a little out of it, low on blood sugar and the vast choices on the menu just became tiresome. In addition they have little photos popping in and out which just distract, the font is small and all the same color. Have your main headers like "Pasta" be in red or a different font or something to stand out from the previous section. If you wanted to be cheap, change the graphic border. I ordered my usual selection, a tri-tip salad because it was the only thing I could recognize and pick quickly enough. Someone else picked some "brisket" and chicken. Now I say "brisket" like that because it sure as hell isn't Texas brisket. Let's call it- Las Vegas buffet line brisket and leave it at that. The chicken was dry and brisket over cooked so we sent to back. It was very Ho-hum and not what I've experienced in the past at Stonefire which is unfortunate. read more

We like stonefire grill, however this is the second time where I called in my order well in advance, and when I go in to pick it up, it's not ready. Tonight they could not find my order. So they started it after I arrived. It's very disappointing. On another occasion, they told me it wasn't ready so they had me wait. I went up again and inquired about it, but my order was actually ready and was sitting on the shelf getting cold. read more

So I went to go check this place out. we are having a big party next month and I wanted to try if this place was going to be suitable. All I have to say is no no no. The meat was tough the baby back ribs have more fat on it than meat and the tri-tip was tough. I do not know why people give this place a good review. I have kids that cook better than this place. Food is bland and no seasoning at all. You want to waist your money, please go here... Smh read more

I love stonefire grill. The food is always fresh and tasty coming right off the grill. The style of the restaurant is very convenient, cafeteria style, you order and choose a table and they bring the food to you. Also the prices are very fair for the BBQ and the meals they offer, they give you complimentary breadsticks which are delicious and the platters they serve you will definitely fill you up. In all very solid place if you want a quick fix bbq joint. read more

I usually order from here for lunch gatherings, food is usually good but this time the food was horribly prepared and cold. Missing items I asked to be added to the dishes and was charged for. Im seriously disappointed and embarrased serving this to my office party guests. Pizza was cold and missing half the cheese and mushrooms I requested. Salad was soggy. The rare prime rib I requested was well done. The pasta that I requested Mozzarella to be added had none and the sauce was non existant. The food taste bland. And I opted for curbside pick up and I waited out side 1/2 hour and had to call again to remind them I was sitting there. For the money spent, I would think the service would of been better. I cant tell you how dissappointed I am. read more

I wish we could give zero stars instead of one. I don't understand how this place remains in business. Don't waste your money and time coming here. The menu has coleslaw and says it comes with nuts, it ended up being peanuts. My daughter almost ate it and was close to having a allergic reaction. Also, my daughter ordered the kid's macaroni and cheese. It was bland, and was worse than Kraft Mac and cheese. Finally, the lemon garlic chicken was dry and tasted like it been left outside for days. By the middle of the meal we felt like throwing up and running away, save your time and money by not coming here. Wish we went to McDonald's instead of this horrible place. read more

I usually come here to get the mesquite bbq tri tip, the pesto pasta, the garlic mashed potatoes, and the breadsticks. All of the above are super delicious items! I have taken 1 star off because the way they cook the tri tip can be a hit or miss. I've had times when it's been super chewy and times when it's been super tender. Messed up our New Year's Eve big time. Placed an order on December 27 for pick up on December 31 at 8 PM, confirmed and got charged that day.
