I went to this brea location and honestly don't come when their busy. First of all their prices are pretty high for meat and their portions are like really small. I would say it's serves a good vibe for big groups of people but I feel the quality of this restaurant has been going down throughout the years. Their waitress are always very nice and accommodating but their food isn't so great. We ordered chicken and it was like bloody red. So be careful about the chicken...

The Stonefire is by far my favorite restaurant. The food is always so good. The tri tip is the best around. The chicken is so juicy. The potato salad is the best I've ever had as well as the ceasar salad. My grandpa is a veteran, and he gets 50% off his meal. I think that is such a kind gesture for this restaurant. He loves the salmon. My husband loves the baby back ribs. We bring our own bottle of wine. For being such a casual restaurant, the food rivals some of our favorite fine dining spots. We even brought caesar salad and the fantastic breadsticks to our father's day gathering.

Review 44/365 Day Challenge This is our only go to restaurant for when we want Stonefire Grill. Since it's local. Came on a Tuesday evening for last minute dinner w the fam bam after my oldest tennis match. 2.24.26 Figured Stonefire is fast, yummy & always great for one of our family dinner outings of choice. Bummed yesterday's dinner had a few hiccups. During ordering our food. We got the stimulus package. Our usual but we haven't ordered it in a while since last summer I recall. We asked the guy associate, recall the pizza included 2 topping in the stimulus package and he mentioned yes or any of the pizzas listed. So we then got the meat lovers pizza. When picking out salad, we weren't informed or remember it only includes Garden or Caesar salad. We ordered the Stonefire Bbq Chop salad. After paying for our order and went to go sit down. I was a bit confused how our total was so high. When we only ordered the stimulus package along w a shareable pasta and 2 fountain drinks. I looked over the receipt and saw we were charged extra for the meat lovers pizza and the salad we got. Went back to the register to find an associate. The guy that took our order wasn't up front any more. The associate saw my receipt and said he will go talk to the guy that took our order. The gentleman that took our order than came up and said "when i asked if everything was good and with your total, you didn't say anything" This i do understand and i informed him, we were out for a tennis match since 3 pm in the cold and a bit weary/tired. So apologies for not being fully there but you didn't mention of the extra charges for the meat lover pizza and the salad we picked. Along you did mention the pizza covered 2 toppings along w any other listed pizza was included. Mee and my husband both heard this. We were both ordering and agreeing together what we wanted. He apologize and refunded us the extra charge and re ~ corrected the order to what the stimulus package included. Went and sat back at the table to eat the salad, pasta and breadsticks that was already given. It was about 25 mins into eating. Looking at the receipt i ordered at 6:55 pm and now the time was 7:30 p.m. we haven't received our pizza or tri tip yet. We know it doesn't usually take that long, half and hour. So we asked the associate regards to our missing items part of the meal. He thought this entire time our last 2 items had already been out. If we never asked for our items, we could've still been waiting. He had to re input our order in. Associate did end up making us a 16 inch bacon n ham pizza, a bigger one instead of the 12 inch it comes with to apologize for the overlooked within our remaining order. Which was nice of him. But My gosh, my 3 kids were starving along with my 80 year old mother in law that came to watch my son's 1st tennis match. It was a really long dinner indeed. My oldest son was falling asleep on the dinner table waiting for our food. Sigh*

Gotta give Stonefire grill a 3/5. Their Caesar salad was partially frozen lettuce with croutons and cheese slapped on there. Where they shined was with the carrot cake - I ate the whole thing. It was delicious. I guess the good evens out the bad here. If you're looking for an affordable meal with options for everyone, this is your spot. You order at the counter and go sit down at a table with your number and they bring the food out. It's kind of a hybrid between fast food and your typical sit down restaurant.

Nice location. I've been to the one in Arcadia and this one seems bigger inside. Parking wasn't too bad during the lunch hour. Service is straight forward - order at the counter, they give you a pager, and they bring the food over to go. We came in for lunch and tried their lunch specials. Good selection of choices and portions sizes are good for the price. Enjoyed my sandwich and soup. Everything seems to be fresh and made to order. Surprisingly it wasn't too busy during a weekday lunch. Worthy as a lunch option if you're in the area.

BEST Family deal in the OC Stonefire Grill has been a premier takeout, catering and fast-casual family dining destination since 2000. With generous portions of made-from-scratch classic American-inspired dishes, this is the perfect spot to feed the whole family!! Not only are they famous for their flame-grilled meats, hearty salads, pizzas and breadsticks, they have a tantalizing and crave-worthy new lineup this season. Here's what we tried! Family Four Pack: your choice of BBQ or lemon garlic chicken breast, a large cheese or pepperoni pizza, a shareable pasta, any premium salad and eight freshly-baked breadsticks. Such a great value for $55!! (for a limited time) NEW Cornbread Casserole: so incredibly moist and topped with fried serranos and maple butter. One of my new favorites! I will definitely get the Family size next time! NEW Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza: Nashville hot chicken, mozzarella, fried sage, honey hot sauce and a side of ranch dressing. My boys favorite!! NEW Cinna-Dunks: the breadsticks you know and love in bite-sized, sugar cinnamon form with cream cheese frosting for dipping! So soft and incredibly addicting!! Don't miss out on their Incredible Carrot Cake!! Perfect for catering your next event! Indoor and outdoor dining. Wonderful customer service from James and Mariah!

I needed to get some stuff at the brea mall so I figured I'd try this place out since it was an 8 minute walk (3 minute drive) when you walk in, you immediately get a cafeteria style vibe. It wasn't bad at all but that's just what popped in my head. A few steps later and you're greeted by someone. Here's the thing to consider if you want to try this place: look at the menu before walking in. I was fortunate enough to do so and it helped because you are standing there with the menu in your face (no pictures) and the person waiting for you to take your order. Talk about pressure! I knew what I wanted but I couldn't remember, so here I was, panicking, trying to remember what it was. I finally placed my order and they gave me a buzzer to put on my table and a cup for water. I got the 10 ounces of the Tri tip (bbq) and a side of Mac and cheese. I couldn't help but notice the lowest amount of tip to leave was 18%. I want to say I didn't mind but yes I did. When did the baseline for a tip jump to 18%?! I ended up leaving the 18% and took a seat. My food arrived shortly after but I was told the breadsticks would be a couple minutes. The Tri tip was ok but the Mac and cheese kind of disappointed. It didn't really have a good taste to it. The breadsticks showed up about 5 minutes later and it seemed like they were in a hurry to get them out so they didn't heat them up enough. The outside wasn't crunchy at all and the middle was worse. I ate about half of 1. (There were 2 in the order) As I was walking out, I noticed a big line had formed. It was probably because the people at the front were panicking and didn't know what to order. I was glad to have ordered with nobody behind me. In conclusion, maybe they have other stuff that tastes better than the Mac and cheese but this trip disappointed me a little bit. The overall service was great but there's definitely room for improvement. As I left the restaurant, I did notice outside seating was available as well. I would probably stick to that if you don't want to feel like you're back in school.

Great food place for BBQ. I got the Tri Tip Personal. It comes with 2 garlic bread sticks, and 1 side. I purchased an extra side for $3.99. So the 2 sides I got was Corn Bread and the Jasmine Rice. The Corn bread was so good!!! It was sweet and with the sweet butter combination! It was mmmmMmmGood. The Tri tip was also good. I chosen it to be cooked medium rare. And you get to choose the 2 sauce. I got 1/2 BBQ sauce and 1/2 Gorgonzola butter sauce. I like the BBQ sauce better. They also have marinara pastas, I got to try some because my friend ordered it and it was ok. Not that great. It kinda lacked flavor. You order first and they bring the food to your table. If you need utensil, plates, and napkins. It located at the side of the restaurant where the drinks are. There is also BBQ sauce you can get yourself. It's free for all seats. Free parking lot and located next to Target.

takeout mac n cheese melted through container -- gross!
    Reena P.

I've dined here a lot, and most experiences are good. However, on a recent takeout order, my child's takeout order of mac 'n cheese was served in a thin plastic container and melted through! This means microplastics leached into the food and piping hot mac n' cheese ended up on my daughter's lap. I wrote to corporate to get them to change their packaging on their takeout orders so this doesn't happen to others. The Director of Operations got back to me saying that they would change it for their kids mac 'n cheese, but I'm not sure they'll change it for other hot dishes (e.g. marinara pasta) served to go.

I had the Pulled Pork Bánh mì pizza and it was surprisingly delicious. It had a very unique taste from your standard Bánh mì sandwich but I liked it. I also had half of a pulled pork sandwich and that was awesome as expected. I ate a few slices of shared tri-tip. That was great too. The service stafff brought out the food as it came up so eating with company was staggered but that's okay. The ambiance inside was similar to a large cafeteria but much warmer and comfortable. We had a wonderful meal together

Enjoyed another great dinner from Stonefire! Ordered the chicken and tri tip for two for takeout. The tri tip was tender delicious, per usual, and the lemon garlic chicken was pretty decent, though I thought it had more flavor in the past. May have been lacking salt. The breadsticks, loaded mashed potatoes and salad were also great.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent was running errands in Brea yesterday when he noticed Stonefire Grill perched on the corner of the Brea Marketplace Plaza. Remembering the effusive word of mouth review that my oldest son, Pastor Brandon, decreed during his recent visit from WDC, I pulled over. First impressions? Sheeeeeeeeeiiit. The Harrigan Family could've easily christened their Family restaurant "Bullseye," because it NAILS the bullseye of what men like to see and eat, while dining. Visually, you're greeted by cinnamon-hued woods bathed in comforting stained glass chandeliered lights. Menu-wise, Stonefire Grill reminds me of Sir Elton John's greatest hits- Pick one, any one! You can't go wrong!! Pizzas, ribs, hearty hot and cold sandwiches, chicken, decadent desserts like cheesecake and carrot cake. I ordered the BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich, which features amply portioned slabs of grilled tri tip melted sheets of mozz and dressed with your choice of either BBQ sauce or gorgonzola butter. The latter seems to be a popular choice with past diners, so I will ask for that variation, next time. The BBQ sauce is a vinegar-forward sauce that reminds me of the delish Tony Roma's sauce I usta pour all over my ribs/sandos and fries baaaaaaack in the day. The sando comes with multiple sides to choose from- I went with a frankly decadent house salad with the chili lime vinaigrette dressing. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality, and cut, of the vegetables! So rare these days to see carrots finely shredded instead of half-heartedly cut into wee discs. Demerits: Both of my negatives pertain to technology. The first is how I wasn't able to pre-order via the Yelp app. When you press "order online," it would generate a frozen screen. Secondly, I wasn't thrilled how I wasn't allowed to apply my just awarded points from yesterday's $18 purchase towards Stonefire's Rewards program. When I asked the young lady who took my order how I could get credit for my purchase, she told me I'd have to call the corporate office and ask for their help. Which, of course, seems a bit excessive, and candidly too labor intensive, just to get my points credited! Kudos: The young lady who packaged my order was a sheer delight!! Super friendly, generous with her smile and her warm entreaties to add extra sauce, eating utensils, plate etc to my takeout order. Even though our interaction lasted only thirty seconds she truly exemplified Stonefire's pledge of delivering scratch-made meals in a "happy to serve" environment! I look forward to sampling Stonefire's pizzas, ribs and French Dip sando on future visits. My order was $17.56 incl tax.

GELO is one of the best servers I have had! He was so attentive and accommodating and his bright personality made our day. Bonchon variety is abundant but I really just wanted cucumber and kimchi. KIMCHI wasn't my favorite but decent. STEAMED EGG and KIMCHI SOUP side by side was also a solid combo. Dip the egg in the soup for the true Korean approved experience. The TOFU SOUP had a lot of soft tofu but the broth was just ok. Great sides to the meat and I'd honestly get them again. Go to AYCE Korean BBQ spot for the area get pretty busy!

After being seated, we waited a long time before anyone came to our table to take care of us. Although our server seemed to be trying his best, the overall service still fell far below expectations. Rarely checked on us throughout the meal, our grill was changed once, and never came by to offer drink refills. The food quality has also gone downhill. The rice cup portions are drastically smaller than they used to be, and the meat quality was poor. It feels like the restaurant's overall operation and standards have really declined. For the price, this experience was unacceptable, and unfortunately we won't be returning. I don't recommend it at all!!!!!!

The host immediately greeted us with a warm smile, explained that it was a full-service restaurant, and made us feel welcome right away. We were seated almost immediately, which was a great start to our visit. The food definitely lived up to the service. I ordered the chicken plate since I don't eat mammals, and it was flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the large beef rib. At first, he was surprised because the meat was served off the bone instead of on it, but after the first bite, that didn't matter anymore. The flavor was rich, the meat was incredibly tender, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the meal. One thing you shouldn't skip is trying the different BBQ sauces. They offer three varieties, and each brings something different to the table. My personal favorite was the original it complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for delicious BBQ with genuinely welcoming service, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

You can tell a lot of thought went into making this place different. The BBQ itself, per usual, was fairly dry. The flavor is there, but I'd love to see the meats come out a little more tender and juicy. The SIDES though!!! BOMB. The corn and bean combo was easily my favorite. And then came the fresh-baked cookies... way better than Crumbl. I said what I said. I also really liked seeing the note from the owners, Steve and Tammy. They explain that they smoke their meats for 16 hours, make their sides, sauces and desserts from scratch, and don't use preservatives, additives, fillers or nitrites. Steve even puts his own number there and asks customers to reach out with suggestions. Whether everything comes out perfect or not, you have to respect owners willing to put their name and number right there and actually ask for feedback. And shoutout to the bartender! I forgot his name, but he usually works the late afternoon/night shift. That dude is awesome. Friendly, attentive and makes you want to hang around for another beer. Then there's Connie. She's apparently a regular. If you see her, you have two options: avoid eye contact... or clear your schedule. If you love conversation, you just found your new best friend. Overall: awesome atmosphere, bomb sides, ridiculous cookies, great bartender, and owners who clearly care about what they're building. Just get that BBQ a little juicier and we're in business!

Review 65/365 Day Challenge…read more I'm not a yelper that usually leave a negative review unless it's really terrible and a 1 star but Lucille's not just myself was dissatisfied it was my whole entire family. They all decided that we're taking Lucille's out of our family dinner list. We usually frequent Lucille's since my son loves bbq ribs and we'd come here for a celebration. Like for this Tuesday evening we came to celebrate my bro in law n my son's bday. Duo celebration. If you look at my review from 4 years ago, 5 stars and i haven't updated since because it's usually been pretty good each time returning that there was no need to update it. But this experience we had this past week was really bad that we've decided that we likely will be stop coming to our local Lucille's. Read other reviews on here that aren't left a while back and looks like they've also mention how Lucille's quality along as service has gone down tremendously a lot. When we were seated, we didn't get any assistance from a server til 10 mins plus. We had to ask the associate that was wiping down tables if he was covering our area to get some assistance. He informed us that our server should be right over. Our fountain drinks that we ordered Sprite, Dr Pepper and sweet tea tasted off. There was barely any carbonation nor did the sweet tea had any sweetening to the tea we loved here. We informed our server and she told the manager gal. The manager came and spoke to us 5 mins later and confirmed to us she noticed the fountain drinks were off and was having an associate replace the fountain drinks machine but meanwhile offered if we can get another drink in the time being without no charge so we may enjoy something with our meals. We took the offer n got a strawberry lemonade along w a peach lemonade also while waiting for the replacement soda. My kids weren't too much of a fan of lemonade but tried their best to enjoy the lemonade. About 20 mins to half n hour later. The manager did see us and came back to ask how our replacement soda tasted and we informed her we never got our replacement soda. She let an associate know and we finally got our replacement soda. But by then, we were about done w our meals and was pretty full. Ask an associate that is now no longer our original server but a server that was just bringing our food and drinks to us. A to go cup so we can just take our replacement soda to go. We never got out to go cup. Either they were short staffed that evening or associates just wasn't happy being there. Because when we asked for Togo containers too. It took some time to get it. Please Lucille's management, if you see this review. Look into your staffs. The restaurant is clean it's just there are some etiquettes that need to be going over. A BIG HUGE READ FLAG. Why would an associate be SWEEPING RIGHT NEXT TO A TABLE THAT IS CURRENTLY TRYING TO ENJOY THEIR DINNER. Where do you think sweeping the floor. The dust particles up in the air would go to. It'll be flying around where we are digesting our food. This is something no one would enjoy seeing when eating. Not sure if the associate didn't have a clue regards to this. ITS POOR HYGIENE for a restaurant industry. I was feeling under the weather along there was no upper management nor much associate to even let them know what we were dealing with. With all of the ordeal and mishap. If you look at my review b4 this. We've got a complimentary bday celebration dessert but this time. We just wanted to be done. Didn't even bother doing our annual bday celebration there that my son enjoys with his uncle for their bday celebration tradition. We still left a 16% tip because we know how things are with possibly server just being low staffed. Because we saw our original server Alyssa at the end b4 leaving the restaurant. She was able to give us a set of Togo boxes. Told us she apologized she couldn't continue serving us because she had a bigger party of 15 to attend to. That would've been great to know b4 she left our table to serve the other table so we weren't turning our head constantly trying to find any service from anyone. We just decided to pay on the tablet. By than didn't want to deal with anyone and wanted to leave asap. Since that was the only service that can help us pay for our bill. Please LUCILLES...DO BETTER!

About twice a year is all I need to meet my smoked meat hankering. This place is great for when I'm in the mood for BBQ, but it's my go-to spot on Tuesdays for these $3 tacos. Massive tacos made with substantial handmade tortillas and protein of your choice. I usually go with the perfectly grilled and smoky shrimp, but other options include tri-tip, brisket, pork belly or pulled pork. The best part is that they griddle one side of the tortilla with queso fresco first and then flip it over to griddle the other side with the filling inside. The result is a perfectly chewy, yet sturdy vehicle with an internal layer of cheese browned into the tortilla, holding all of the goodies (protein, raw onion and cilantro) intact. Their house made salsa is more of a roasted salsa verde but works really well with the smoky meats and packs some good heat. This place goes hard on the hunger and easy on the wallet. Cheap beers on tap is a nice touch, too.

EVERYTHING was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The meatloaf is not a traditional meatloaf. It was shredded tender meat marinated in delectable spices. The tripl tip was also tender, suberb cut (little to no fat) and a sizable portion. The sides were large enough to share especially the baked potato and Mexican corn. The fried chicken was great and I couldn't stop stealing my kid's fries. Again, everything was delicious. We'll be back for more!
