    Steak and eggs

The place is a bit tight but still comfortable. The waiter was such a vibe and gave great energy. The food wasn't that great the grits was too watery but the shrimp was good. The steak did not have any flavor and the tempura oysters was too slimmy. The French toast was great, but the bellani was too bitter the passionfruit champange was good. The music was cool and good parking outside

I am gluten free and was searching the area for what felt like forever looking for a good brunch menu with GF options that wasn't just "a granola bowl" and this place hit the spot! I ordered the grits and they were fantastic. Very cheesy and yummy. Quite decadent and I wasn't able to finish it but enjoyed every bite. I sat at the bar as a party of 1. The bartender (an Irish woman) was incredibly kind and welcoming. She created a lovely environment. I didn't order an alcoholic beverage but the bloody Mary's that others ordered looked nice. Overall I felt the service was very good and people were very attentive given it was a Saturday brunch. The only thing I didn't care for was that the music was very loud, but that's ok just not my thing.

Food was good. Service so so. Ambience ok. Gotta eat quick because they kick you out right after. It's a very cute little cafe with overpriced brunch, but that just like many spots nearby. The eggs Benedict were really good though. French toast were ok too. Soft and not too eggs.

Park Slope Sunday brunch spot that is made for Park Slope given the Park Slope location, Park Slope prices, and the Park Slope mentality. Hey Matthew S.! Will you stop saying Park Slope so much? Okay. The food here ranges from mediocre, to sloppy, to actually pretty good. The Eggs Benedict are okay, but are arrayed in such a sloppy way that if this is the only thing you order here, you will hate it. The potatoes were arrayed disgusting and are best not to be served. They look like someone just took a mashed and went crazy on these. They did not taste bad, but we eat with our eyeballs, and my eyeballs told me to stop eating these, so I did. The Canadian bacon is tough and dry. It was unpleasant eating it. At least the egg had good wobble, I enjoyed the Hollandaise sauce, and the English muffin was plenty nooky and cranny. I then fixated on the pancakes. What a full 180! The pancakes are light and fluffy and taste great. The fresh fruit compote is a nice addition. It adds a sweet note with going overboard. I never needed the syrup, as I felt it was not required. What is this, Quebec? While I gave it a four star review, it is more like 3.5 stars. Sorry folks, maybe next time, maybe never. Park Slope just let me down a little. Now I will stop.

My brother-in-law (BIL) mentioned this place when we first moved here. He said it was one of those places that needed reservations. We came here for our anniversary and I kind of wish we hadn't. First off, service was meh. The whole vibe of the place made it seem like they didn't want us there. The food was okay, not blow-you-away. And it came out really fast, like too fast. My husband got the burger and I got the hangar steak. The steak was dry and kinda tough to eat. My husband said his burger was not impressive. And it was not cheap either. This is probably more of a brunch place than a dinner place. I usually try not to say harsh things about the places I eat at. But so far, these places have been falling pretty flat for me. Or maybe I'm turning in a Karen, I don't know. I won't be returning to Stone Park Cafe, but if you like it and want to keep going, by all means.

Judy is the hostess w the mostest. She's very accommodating, courteous n friendly. I think she only work on weekends though. Brunch here is great. Make reservations bc it's super busy on weekends. The lox is made on premises, the passion fruit mimosa is so refreshing. Eggs Benedict is so good, The fries are nice n crispy. Everything in the menu is great.

Went for dinner the other night with two other couples. It was our first time. Lovely little place with a very nice menu and very good service. Drinks were terrific and food was really really good. A few of us did the price frix menu and others did à la carte. We all really enjoyed our dinners . My hubby enjoyed his dessert but a few of us ordered an affogato that was not on menu. That I would not recommend nor order again as it was really bad. But def will go back for dinner again.

Stone Park Cafe is a very solid brunch spot! We went right at opening and were seated without a wait. Our hostess was nice and friendly and the restaurant filled up over time as we were dining. It was definitely a good atmosphere! Overall the menu had a lot of brunch classics - there were a good number of vegetarian options as well but mostly pork for meat options! I got the quiche with fries and a buttermilk biscuit on the side. I definitely enjoyed my meal but wasn't the biggest fan of the biscuit - but that could be due to my own personal preference. The quiche was very filling and fries were crispy! Stone Park is a good place to pop in for a brunch and I would like to return to try dinner one day as well.

I've had countless brunches all over and they usually ranged from average and good to delicious and outstanding. Stone Park Cafe, a first time visit, fell in the outstanding and memorable category. This restaurant has been around for so long and I always wanted to visit, but somehow never did. I had the opportunity to do that today. Located right off 5th Avenue and 3rd Street in Park Slope, the restaurant's dining configuration offered outside seating with no makeshift wall or shield from the cold. It was sunny, I was super bundled up and so we decided to check them out. Guess what---it was well worth it (and I did not eat my meal shivering). The staff was friendly and service was very attentive. Menu was viewable via a QR code. All the brunch items looked delicious. Since we sat outdoors and it is winter, we started off with the hot Maple Cider drink. At $14, it was Bourbon, apple cider syrup and dry cider garnished with cinnamon stick and star anise. Very, very good and unlike anything I've tasted as far as a hot drink. Recommend. Main entree was Fish Cakes served with poached eggs, celery slaw, side of potatoes and sourdough bread. This dish was excellent. The fish cakes were mini sized, made with codfish and pan seared. Lying on top were two poached eggs. The combination of egg and fish cake was indescribably delicious. There was more to the dish which was presented so attractively. The potatoes were cubed and crispy and the portion was generous. A small side of celery slaw was the perfect accompaniment. Finally, two slices of toasted sourdough bread was included---great for sopping up the yolk of the eggs. The entire meal had not one misstep, cooked to perfection and very filling. At $16, a wonderful value. I haven't had such a delicious brunch in quite a while and would highly recommend visiting Stone Park Cafe. I am eager to return again for brunch as well as dinner. So very well done.

I had an amazing brunch here on Labor Day weekend!! We just happened to walk by it and decided to try it out. We had the short rib hash with eggs fried over medium; the pancakes, burger with breakfast potatoes instead of French fries; eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese. Everything was hot and it all tasted spectacular. They had a fancy hot sauce there that I drizzled over the potatoes. Even the scrambled eggs were the best eggs I have had before!! The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and not dry at all. The short rib hash had so much flavor!! Definitely go here!

For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

We were, however, a bit disappointed over recent times that they pulled back from their original plan and stated mission of including the service charge in the cost--it both seemed worker forward and made the cost seem more reasonable, with service charge built into the fixed price. Now the cost seems like any other nice restaurant--far above and beyond the printed menu price. Don't get me wrong, it is exceptional dinner and still well worth it, but a mental adjustment. Their rotating dinner menu (fixed menu, now 3 and 5 course options for different price points) is a brilliant move, meaning you can find something seasonal and new and inventive every couple of weeks. We can't afford to come every two weeks, but we do look forward to the new menu release every two weeks to judge our level of temptation. I'd also note that they apply their same model to breakfast--it is slow service, without bar service as far as we could tell. It was dinner speed at a more bustling brunch time. The food was still stellar--delicious sourdough breakfast sandwich and fabulous spiced pumpkin waffle (even if I had to fight for the advertised maple syrup)--but the service painfully slow. It works over a four course dinner with cocktails, but feels a bit more interminable as you stare at your number for breakfast for 30+ minutes--I think they need to adjust their approach here. Overall we are so grateful to have this gem in our neighborhood--fabulous food, great service... truly some of the best food and service in a neighborhood lacking great options for both. I know we are all feeling tariffs and inflation and cost of living, but the pricing approach/change has moved it from a "let's see the new menu every two weeks" to a more occasional splurge, and I'd be wary of the breakfast/brunch experience if you aren't prepared for a very leisurely day.

But this is a reminder that no matter how good your cocktails are, no matter how delicious your food is, service is king, and a 20% automatic gratuity can often enable some pretty terrible staff management and lackadaisical attitudes. What a waste. I came here on Tuesday night with my top-tier chum to grab a drink before the Nets/Celtics game. I showed up about 15 minutes before she did and was able to secure two spots at the bar before her arrival. While I waited for her, I ordered a Dream Catcher, which sounded super tasty (Patron, and a lot of pineapple vibes)...and then I waited some more. The bartender was nice but she was just WAY too slow. She wasn't able to multitask and my drink literally took 10-15 minutes to make, which is just not acceptable, especially when it was clear it was the only one she was working on. It showed up a minute before my friend did, and my 15-minute head start was rendered completely moot. The other ominous development right from the start? While the bartender was slowly making the drink, two members of the waitstaff were just hanging out at the end of the bar playing on their phones. So already, it was clear that the support staff hadn't been managed/instructed to pitch in during periods of need. The drink itself was actually really good; it just took a ridiculous amount of time for her to make, which to me is both a strong indicator that you need to train her to do this quickly without losing the quality of the beverage and also ensuring that you have at least one other person helping her behind the bar. The bar itself was pretty packed and there wasn't a moment where she wasn't doing something. Read the room and get off your phone. That to me is an unforgiveable sin. When my friend showed up, she also ordered the Dream Catcher, and we got the Crab Rangoon and Shrimp Tempura apps to munch on. The apps came out pretty quickly and were really good - fried perfectly, which I think is the area where it's easy to overdo it and potentially ruin these items. Huge points there and made the service problems even more frustrating. We weren't provided with napkins/silverware to eat the apps, so my chum had to wander around the establishment looking for them (no one assisted her in that search). The slow bartending reared its head immediately and my chum also had to deal with a mystifying 15-minute wait for her cocktail. We had about 40 minutes to play with before we had to be at the game, but because the service was so mediocre, we couldn't risk it - so they missed out on a second drinks and apps. Just leaving money on the table. We were so disappointed walking out of there. A lot of the qualities you'd want to pre-game before an NBA matchup are here, and I didn't even get into the ambience, which was both pretty chill with dim lighting but also had a little electricity in it. They have a ton of good material to work with . But if you can't trust the staff to be engaged and provide quality hospitality, it doesn't really matter. We had a conversation about coming back here some other time potentially but they just don't deserve it. Also, if you're trying this hard to figure out a way to strategically have a good time at a bar, that's all you need to know - you've answered your own question. And when we saw the 20% gratuity added? Final slap in the face. Frankly, if you're going to do that, at the very least let us know when you hand us the bill that it's added on; it's so easy to miss in a darkened bar, and given the other issues I just can't give the benefit of the doubt there. But this is why automatic gratuities need to be abolished. The bartender and the rest of the staff have no incentive to roll up their sleeves and provide a positive experience - they're getting paid no matter what. Hopefully management really takes a step back to reconsider their stance here or at least improve the staffing so they don't take all of the legitimate positives here and throw them in the trash can. You should be building on the good stuff, not canceling it out.

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know.
