My husband surprised me with a dinner reservation at STK to celebrate our first Valentine's Day as a married couple. I came here 2 years ago for happy hour & enjoyed it so much I told myself I'd come back to try more of their menu, so I was excited to be able to finally do it. Aaron was our server. He was professional and upbeat the entire time. Due to the holiday there was quite a wait, so we spent a lot of time taking in the ambiance, vibing to the music & snapping photos. One thing I will give STK is there's always a place to get a good photo lol. When it comes to dinner I'm sad to say I was disappointed. I ordered the 10oz filet against my better judgement (initially wanted to get the $61 mushroom & truffle tagliatelle dish but opted out because I wanted to add steak, but was told we'd have to pay the full price for the steak as it wasn't possible to add it as a "side"). Sorry but no pasta in the world is worth $140. The steak was cooked to the desired temperature, but it had no flavor. I asked for the béarnaise sauce that I remember I loved from the happy hour steak & frites dish, but the consistency and flavor was nowhere close to what it was before. Aaron kindly suggested I switch it out for their peppercorn sauce, but that honestly was worse lol. The best part of my meal was my $21 SIDE of creamed spinach. My husband ordered the chicken entree with a side of mashed potatoes, and while it had good flavor the chicken was dry. Although the drinks, service & ambiance here are good, the dinner items aren't worth what you'll pay. Our tab was almost $300 and sadly there's nothing we ate that we would order again/recommend someone else get.

This experience was very underwhelming. The food took forever to get to the table and it wasn't even hot, our server was AWOL in an almost empty restaurant, the food needed seasoning and our food came out slightly wrong. We let the manager know and she was very understanding. She even took off one of our meals as compensation for the poor service, which was appreciated. For the price this place isn't worth it. I wont be back.

Came for dinner with my friend and needless to say - I won't return. The restaurant sells itself as "upscale" but it's far from that. The service was terrible (still tipped), food not so good (extremely overpriced), and the dress code is very confusing (very, very casual). They offer valet ($10) and it's as expected. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly hostess; however, we had to wait for our table to be ready. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks and it took FOREVER to get a glass of wine and a cocktail (we had to ask the waiter if he remembered to enter them in). For dinner, I settled with a Cesar salad, crab cake, and mac n cheese. Everything was so bland - not even salt & pepper was added (I requested and added my own). I can't even point out a highlight of the entire meal although taking pics in front of their Christmas tree was nice! Try for yourself but I won't return unfortunately.

Came to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. Service was good, food was good, ambiance was nice, Holiday decor out early. Ordered caviar spoons, half dozen oysters, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and 2 NY Strips, med rare. No complaints. Side note: I can't remember ever being charged for dessert after saying you're celebrating, which was odd. They did the candle and all which was nice.

I really like this establishment. It's esthetically pleasing and the food is delicious. They also have amazing customer service. I recall going when they first opened and it seems like things have been consistent. They are located downtown so you might be "forced" to do valet but the charge for valet isn't ridiculous. Many of menu items are pricey but they do have great happy hour deals. I'd recommend this place.

The vibe here is amazing -- very chic, modern, and beautiful inside. It's definitely one of those restaurants where you can dress up, take cute photos, and enjoy the atmosphere. The lighting, music, and decor all give off a cool, upscale energy that makes it feel like a special night out. As for the food, it was just okay for me. I didn't really care for my mac and cheese or my steak -- both were decent, but not as flavorful or memorable as I expected for the price. The drinks were fine, but nothing stood out too much. The highlight of my visit was definitely the service -- my server was 10/10! Super kind, attentive, and made the experience so much better. Overall, if you're coming for the vibe and aesthetic, STK is perfect. If you're coming purely for the food, it's just okay. Still worth a visit for the experience and photo ops

We had an amazing time at STK. Their steak night dinner menu is loaded with succulent favorites. My favorite is the lobster, salmon and filet. The olive dressing blew me away. Our server, Jalen was amazing. He was very attentive, accommodating and had great customer service. I mean he has a stellar personality and knows how to show hospitality.

I came to this place with a group for a friend's birthday dinner. It was a Thursday night and there were not many other customers. The place is pretty big inside and has modern decor. There were 10 of us in the party and we all ordered wine and cocktails to start which came out fast and were good. We were told to order our starters and entrees at the same time. My husband and I got oysters which were as expected. Our friends got the cheesesteak egg rolls which were good and the potstickers were awesome. The crab cake was dry and disappointing. Considering it was dead my husband ordered steak frites as his main but they were out so he ended up getting the fried rice special which he enjoyed. I decided on the short rib which had great flavor and came with mash potato. Most of the party got steak which they all said were cooked well. We tried some of the sides, asparagus was good, the truffle fries were good but they brought them out way after the rest of the food. To finish instead of dessert the brought the whole party a tray of shots which I thought was a fun touch. The service was ok but the food took a while to come out even though it was quiet. I wouldn't rush back however I wouldn't say anything bad if people asked. The food was good but expensive for a chain.

Came for happy hour on a weekday for small bites and had a great time. Sat at the bar, service was good. At the happy hour prices, we were able to try lots of items. Happy hour drink list is extensive at $9 (in 2025 that's very good). Had a margarita, was well made. Cool vibes inside. Good for noshing before a night out

Foodie Alert!! I recently had a chance to dine at STK for their All You Can Eat Sunday brunch, and I'm not going to lie--it was pretty good! With the bottomless brunch you will receive a bread basket, Caesar salad, and a charcuterie board within the bottomless brunch. For the main entrée, you'd receive chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, Cheesy Tots, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, and sausage! For the drinks, they offered coffee and orange juice. I also got the blueberry lemon drop, and it was so delicious! The service was very good. They were very attentive. We joked and laughed around with our server. The ambience, I must say it was nice, however, it was very, very, very, very empty inside of the restaurant. Honestly, it may have been only six tables max that were dining. To their credit, it was a football day. Oh, and let me not forget the music was poppin'! I was bobbin' my head and tapping my foot the entire time dining. So, I definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for a variety of options for brunch and tell them Ms. Hope sent you.

Along with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were ginormous. And the sauces were so good. Our fav was the mango marmalade. The best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Wicked Butcher didn't just serve a meal... they created a memory. 10/10 would recommend for celebrations, date nights, or when you just want to feel fancy and fed.

The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Matt our excellent server has a great sense of humor and welcoming personality. So much that we had to chat with the Manager, Bobby about him. The rib eyed steak - medium rare was scrumptious and the sides: mushrooms, baked potatoes & green beans cooked perfectly. Compliments to their chef/s! With what's happening in the world, the steaks are a little bit on the *ozempic thinner side but we still highly recommend because of the quality. Can't wait to bring our good friends from Arlington, down this way again. We drove over 30 minutes. We came to celebrate life! We left with a happy tummy, an awesome night full of smiles and laughter. Thanks y'all Elsie & Dr Johnson Thequeenofscalp The Floater Doctor

Tried 1845 for the first time and I'm honestly mad I'm just now discovering it…read more I'm a picky eater, so when I say EVERYTHING was good... I mean it. I started with the poblano meatballs and wow, so flavorful, perfectly seasoned, almost had that grilled taste . For drinks, I had a lemon drop martini and it did not disappoint. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fried chicken and baby... BEST I've ever had. The crust was seasoned perfectly, not too hard, and the chicken was juicy. I also tried the smothered chicken, just as good. And dessert?! Peach cobbler with a snickerdoodle cookie crust... hands down the best I've ever had. No notes. Shoutout to our waitress Heather, she was so sweet, attentive, and gave great recommendations. The manager Chris also came by a few times to check on us, which I really appreciated. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be back and telling everyone about this place!

Went for a special night, reservations and everything, even arrived 10minutes earlier. We were not greeted by a server for 20-30 minutes PAST our reservation time, and to add on to that no water. We are typically pretty patient individuals, but eventually we flagged a waiter down, and from there the night flipped. I believe the server's name was Michael, great fellow and attentive. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. We'll be back Valet parking Complimentary Limited street parking on a busy road Great interior, comfy seating

Pricey poisoning nightmare!…read more What was supposed to be a fancy celebratory night out ($725 with tip) at Drake's for my MIL's birthday ended with one of our family members in the ER and another 2 attached to the toilet (including my 72 MIL). This was roughly 6 hours after consuming seafood from this establishment. The frustrating part is we actually sent one of the 2 dishes back reporting to staff it had a strange odor/taste and was told we weren't familiar with lobster taste (being from NY this is untrue). My MIL was too embarrassed to send hers back so she ate her entire plate and my husband had about 1/4 of his before exchanging it for an alternate dish. As an emergency service provider I fully understand medical incidents like this can happen anywhere, but what prompted this review was way the situation was handled following my reporting. After reporting the incident to management we were met with what felt like an aggressive line of questioning about the members of our medical team and related details. I was told the incident would be escalated to upper management and the team would reach back out, but this never happened, even after a follow-up email. So, it's safe to say after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a special evening, the entire experience left a very bad taste in our mouths. At the very least, I would have expected some sort of gesture of goodwill or attempt to make the situation right -- even something as simple as a gift card or invitation to return for a better experience. Unfortunately, that never happened. Based on this experience, I would not choose to return and cannot recommend Drake's to others.
