My husband and I have been fans of Misti Norris since the Petra and the Beast days and we also really loved the Saint Valentine food experience we had last year, so when my out of town friend was coming into town for a Tuesday hockey game, we had to come and get, among other things, the pig tails. Unfortunately this particular night that dish was really tough and stringy, not like the pig tails we used to order at Petra; I figure it was maybe an off night because the other dishes we tried were quite excellent. We particularly enjoyed the white bean dip, the sweet potato textures, and the leek cauliflower gratin. The drinks we got at the bar were also great! Definitely want to come back here with my husband and see if the pigtails are more tender + try some of the other things on the menu.

Incredible venue, both inside and out. Great spot to come hangout with friends and enjoy the weather over some drinks, especially on a night with live music! The menu is short and sweet, with great service and recommendations from the staff.

On my last trip to Dallas, my friend made reservations at this amazing restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated at a cozy booth (five stars for that alone). Our server came by right away and offered to answer any questions about the menu. We ordered some delicious cocktails, and they were spot-on. The food arrived promptly. The dishes are on the smaller side (tapas-style), so we ordered three plates and one dessert to share between the two of us. We tried items No. 1, 6, 9, and 11, they were all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chef and to the bar manager, Drew, for making the most amazing margaritas I've had in the past year. If you're in the area, this place is a must try!

Finally got to try the food here and it was amazing! The duck confit salad, white bean dip and the steak were so good. I'll be dreaming about that white bean dip forever. They have a great soundtrack too. Very much a vibe.

Live music Thursdays out in the beautiful patio.

Wow, this place is in a random spot but the vibes are great. The setting is so well done and the service is great. The food though, that was gorgeous. I wasn't even hungry when I till got there but still ordered some tasty bites. I let the bartender make my drink selections and that was a good experience for sure.

Unfortunately the food did not "wow" me or my friend. Yes, the ingredients were fresh but that is about it. We ordered the entire menu minus the 2 chicken dinners. The menu is seasonal so we did not get a chance to taste the pasta. It seemed as if a lot of dishes were heavy cream based. Plus, I like a bit more flavor. I probably enjoyed the fried pig ear dish the most. My fish did enjoy the steak dish. The service was meh. We asked for the plates to be timed and they kept all coming at once. It was like they wanted to rush us out of the place. We had to say more than once to slow down and not bring 3 dishes at a time. Then we asked for the last dish and waiter asked if we still wanted it. Just strange Now the decor was very nice. It is relaxed and desert feel.

One regret. Not coming sooner. Came in with a friend and had such an amazing experience. Care was taken with allergies. The duck salad took my breath away. Multiple people checked in with service. Hope to see more great things

The vibe of this place is phenomenal! It reminds me of Austin with the classy, outdoorsy ambiance. The food + drinks were great. I like that it's a seasonal local menu however the prices were a bit much. The other con was that the tables are spaced very close together to other customers so everyone could easily hear the conversations around them. Overall: Great service, ambiance, + food but on the pricier side and close quarters

I love the unique bunker structure and tranquil design of this incredibly delicious restaurant. If you're looking for something different and adventurous and, most importantly, guaranteed delectabilty, Far-Out will take care of you with every dish and every drink. The menu changes frequently so I cannot recommend a specific dish. I can only assure you that no matter what you order it is a guaranteed OMG reaction.

Feels like you're stepping right into Terlingua. There's ample outdoor seating with some tables and a bar inside. All the food and drinks we had were so good, I was a little surprised. The white bolognese is honestly to die for.

We enjoyed a truly delightful evening at Far Out in Dallas. Each course was wonderful, starting with the roasted garlic white bean dip with chili oil, followed by the lemongrass duck confit salad and the crispy chili and pecan rubbed heritage chicken. The flavors were perfectly balanced and so thoughtfully done. For dessert, the olive oil cake was light, subtle, and just right. The space has a beautiful, artful feel, and the owner is such a warm and gracious host who makes you feel right at home. We cannot wait to return.

This place is so cute and the food was amazing. The farm to table experience was really good and the service is exceptional.

Have you also been vaguely depressed since Petra and the Beast closed down? Have no fear for she has risen. And is now the chef at Far Out. Her flavors and fresh ingredients are as good as ever. Menu changes monthly at least, based on best ingredients available. The space is gorgeous, littered with plants and their outdoor space is in its beautiful infancy but it will be an absolute oasis once the climbing plants are all fully grown. Live music Thursday nights. DJ Friday and Saturdays. Service is impeccable. A member of our party can't do dairy or so and our server went through every single item on the menu to say which we could have and which could be modified.

We arrived early and grabbed pre-dinner cocktails on the patio, which honestly set the tone for the evening. The fire pit tables + evening atmosphere were perfect. We kept it classic with Old Fashioneds and martinis, and both were very well executed. Simple, balanced, and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. There was also a blueberry graham cracker cocktail (can't remember the name, unfortunately) that was surprisingly delicious and easily could've been dessert in a glass. The tasting itself was an 8-course menu and absolutely incredible. Since this was a one-night pop-up, I won't go into detail on the food, but every course was thoughtful, creative, and genuinely delicious. One of those meals where you're excited for the next plate the second the last one's cleared. Service really stood out. The team was attentive without hovering, cleaned up seamlessly between courses, and made sure our drinks were never empty. They also offered solid wine pairings that complemented the menu really well and elevated the experience overall. One extra thing that really sealed it for me: after dinner, the second chef Taylor and the owner/manager Tanner came over and hung out with us for a bit. As someone who's a bit of a foodie nerd, I genuinely appreciate when chefs and operators take the time to talk food, concepts, and the thought behind the menu. It made the experience feel personal and intentional, not just transactional. If this pop-up is any indication of what Rye is capable of, it's definitely a place worth returning to. Great atmosphere, great drinks, and a team that clearly cares about the experience. Would absolutely come back.

Our dining party enjoyed the Chef's tasting menu, which was expertly presented and beautifully prepared. Our server, Trinity, explained each course and was readily available for follow up questions. She was friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the preparations. Executive Chef Taylor Rause was frequently in the dining room, too, assisting in service and in explanations, sometimes tying the food back to personal experiences, which was delightful to hear and understand. The overarching theme of ancient grains permeated the entire tasting menu, creating a delicious and unifying thread. The small courses ranged from good to outstanding. Standouts for us were a pavé of celery root and green apple with a spelt crisp, a tiny masa tortilla stuffed with turkey chorizo, and a stunningly smoky wagyu spinalis with an unbelievable Bordelaise. A couple dishes missed those high marks a tad, such as a chicken leg with an einkorn biscuit that was light on flavor and a bit under-seasoned. All of us likewise felt the desserts lacked some of the same uniqueness of the previous plates. But these are small quibbles in an otherwise memorable experience that was capped by a brief visit to the kitchen, a good chance to wholeheartedly thank Chef Rause and Chef de Cuisine Jay Vopatek for a great night. High recommended.

It's been on our list for many years so we were so glad to finally be able to try it and are already looking forward to coming back. It wasn't too busy on a Thursday night, so the hostess sat us at one of the circular 4-tops so we'd have a bit more room. We had perfect lighting coming in during golden hour for most of the meal, so the photos I snapped on my phone ended up turning out amazing. The whole experience was great from start to finish including all the staff and servers that stopped by to bring out and explain the dishes. We went with the full tasting menu since we were celebrating and it was a wonderful introduction to the restaurant's food. Our cocktails were great too; I really enjoyed my piña colada milk punch and my husband's cucumber highball & tarragon sour were both super refreshing. The tasting menu began with some light bites. The sourdough & fried oysters were delicious but we were most impressed by the panisse with trout roe: super light, not too greasy, crisp outside and creamy inside with some lovely brine from the roe. The second course may have been my favorite of the night -- the kingfish ceviche was a perfect balance of flavors and textures from the coconut foam to the gentle heat from the fresno peppers. I could've eaten a bucket of that on my own! Third course of smoked beef tartare really brought the wow factor with presentation and was equally tasty. White asparagus was just a tad oversauced for me, but the miso marmite was so good I almost didn't mind, and it went so well with the crab. Seared grouper was cooked perfectly, so flaky with just the right amount of crisp crust from the sear, and went super well with the various sauces included & the brightness from the pickled scallion. The meat course was definitely the best lamb I've had in recent memory: it actually tasted like lamb without any lingering gaminess and was wonderfully tender, perfectly medium rare, with crispy skin and wonderfully rendered fat. I enjoyed the peas three ways but loved the chanterelle mushrooms even more. Dessert was a lovely light finish and I quite enjoyed that it was visually similar to course 2! Coconut panna cotta, meringue batons, tart sorbet & kaffir lime caviar, more foam -- such playful flavors and textures! And we were stuffed by then but still loved the anzac biscuits and cherry cola marshmallows. So impressed by the flavor of the marshmallows in particular, it really captured cherry cola perfectly. Pacing wasn't too fast or too slow; we never felt rushed at all but were in and out within 1:45 which felt unheard of for such a well developed tasting menu. Now that we've been once we can't wait to return and try other things on the menu! Thanks to Chef Archibald and team for their hospitality and making our special night so wonderful.
