I honestly can't recall if I've been to this spot before. I haven't visited this mall since before the pandemic and, as I've been told, a lot has changed. I will say that that the woman behind the counter was very kind and quick to offer me a sample from each item (which is weird because a lot of Asian restaurants have stopped doing that - probably for health reasons). I wanted the Orange chicken the most, but there was very little left. It being the end of the day, it was unlikely that they were going to replenish any of the items, so she offered to give me more of one portion to compensate for the small amount available (I got the 3-entree dinner). Between the Orange, the Mandarin (Bourbon) and General Tso's, both my stomach and palate were quite satisfied. Each item had great flavor and a nice crisp to them. The rice was also quite flavorful and she gave me a heaping helping, so aces there as well. [Photo available] Definitely worth another visit.

BBQ Chicken Teriyaki with Chow Mein & Vegetables, $8.95; I already had eaten about 1/3 at this point

It was a fairly decent Chinese food experience as far as a shopping mall Food Court experience is concerned. They had three set menu offerings (orange chicken, BBQ chicken teriyaki and Tsao's chicken), and one, two or three items combo plates besides egg rolls and rangoons (I don't call it crab since I really don't know if there's any crab in it). Of course, your plate comes with a choice of fried rice or noodles, or they might even do a half and half for you. Service is very prompt as is often the case for this type of set up. They will give you a sample to taste if you can't decide what to get. Actually that's how I decided on BBQ chicken teriyaki. Enjoy your selection!

Very solid Chinese food for Central Ohio. Orange Chicken was crisp and flavorful. Lo Mein noodles were bouncy and tasty. I haven't had good Chinese in a while and this was a surprise. Here are other Asian options in the food court so I'm wondering if the competition makes the food better. I'm glad I gave them a try.

General Tso's, mango chicken, and Thai chicken, over noodles.

Good service and tasty food. Generals tsos and mandarin grilled chicken were both good.

I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

Spicy Dumplings w/ chili oil - Excellent Crab Rangoons -…read moreAbove Average+ My family ordered Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken & Hunan Chicken. I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)
