    Chicken on a Stick
    Erin T.

First time stopping by since we were in the area and ordered carryout. They were quite busy with phone calls and steady stream of customers picking up carry out. We order the Joy Combo Fried Rice which was quite good. The Chicken on a Stick was moist and pretty good, but not much flavor. The Kung Pao Triple was a weird flavor sauce and was too spicy and I like spicy. Spring Rolls were small (see picture - size comparison next to condiment packets), and Won Ton Soup was bland and had weird taste. If we come back, we will stick with fried rice only.

Delicious family owned Chinese restaurant in Dublin! Had an excellent lunch with family here. Shout out to the owners for their attentiveness and patience with my little niece and nephew. They adored the wonton soup and Snapple juice. The adults enjoyed the lunch specials which costed less than $7. They came with generously portioned entrees, fried or white rice, and soup (or egg roll). My lo mein was pleasant. We also enjoyed the chicken and beef with broccoli dishes. The ho fun (wide rice noodles) were great. Huge portion and smokey flavor. Friendly service and fresh tasty food at a reasonable price!

Meh. It's Chicken Chow Mien. Not something I'd order again, way too bland and mushy. Decent size for lunch. Crispy Noodles were ok.

Craving American-Chinese food, I decide to try out Joy House, Dublin. A couple of misses but also a few hits. What put me over the edge to give it a go were online complaints that their fried rice was "too dry" which is just the way I happen to like it ‍ Been nibbling on these over the past week, my new place tests typically involve lunch portions of a few dish standards. Comments with photos. 3.7/5.0 overall.

    Vegetable Spring roll

Stopped at Joy House for the first time and enjoyed a delicious lunch. We ordered Wor Su Gai, egg rolls, spring roll, won ton soup and Singapore noodles. Everything exceeded our expectations! Food was fantastic. We definitely will be back.

Came through on Christmas. First time ordering from here. Got pepper steak, vegetable lo mein, and ham fried rice. The ham fried rice was excellent! The low mein was ok-not much flavor, and the pepper steak had great flavor but some of the meat was hard to chew or to chewy. That being said-I'd definitely order from here again. Crab rangoon (no pic) was delicious.

With many Asian fusion places popping up I can't help but appreciate traditional Asian cuisine. Joy House serves fresh and delicious traditional dishes that I grew up with. The Covid safety measures in place are strict and the restaurant was very clean. The carry out packaging was appropriate and the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the lack of utensils and napkins in the bag. Overall delicious food!

Service was fast, and food was great, even though we ordered just before closing, the staff was very patient and gracious.

I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

Spicy Dumplings w/ chili oil - Excellent Crab Rangoons -…read moreAbove Average+ My family ordered Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken & Hunan Chicken. I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)
