After a long day on the road, getting back into Ohio, my wife and I wanted to take my mom out for dinner. Free change of pace, we went to a spot. We haven't been to in time, Steve's Dakota Grill. We open with their spinach artichoke dip. Must say it was very delicious, however, like most places they don't serve enough bread with it. For our main courses, my wife for a bowl of their chicken noodle soup, mom there, steak, special, and I there Cedar point salmon. Unfortunately, my wife's soup was as salty as the dead sea! My Cedar plank salmon was OK, should have asked for the sauce on the side. My mom enjoyed her steak. Usually a very solid spot to stop on the spur of the moment, but not this time.

Rare prime rib...seasoned perfectly

This place is a hidden gem! They advertise the prime rib to be award-winning, and I would agree, it's great! And, you can't beat their menu prices. Also, they actually serve the order to the temperature ordered (I enjoy rare) and not overcooked. The happy hour beer selection was great (and only $2). Great place and great service!

Called them to order take out and the girl that answered the phone said that she didn't have anything to write with so she wanted me to go online. So I went online and it wouldn't let me choose the steak temp that I wanted. After selecting my items, at the end where it asks pick up time, it will only let you select immediately, as any other time, even 10 minutes later, was unavailable. So I had to call back to the store and the same girl put me on hold for 5 minutes to get someone else. He confirmed my order and said he would make the changes. Picked up the food and then drove to my destination only to find out that my pre-paid, and double confirmed order, was missing someone's food. Had to call the store back yet again, and the same girl answered and put me straight to hold without even saying a word. The other guy comes back on in a few minutes and wanted to send me a gift card. I live out of state and did not want it, and he could also not refund me because of a "new system". Lettuce in my salad was uncut and brown. 1/5 Do not recommend this place.

The only thing good about Steve's Dakota grill was they had assigned a person to go around and take the waitresses temp.while they are working. The wife got chicken and couldn't cut it with the provided steak knife, even with all the gristle it had. I paid 24 bucks for a charred steak that was very rare and definitely not an 18 or 16 oz. Waitress was slow and forgot us a lot. We won't be going back.

After just being seated our waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. I said we needed to look at the menu but water was a good start. We ordered adult beverages. Mom a margarita, my wife a Rocking Chair, and I their Old Fashioned. Our beverages came out quickly. Mom's Margarita was good. My Old Fashioned was sickly sweet and my wife's Rocking Chair was definitely missing something. I asked for an up Manhattan and we all ordered. Mom a Country Fried Steak, my wife their version of chicken tenders, and I a Grilled Chicken Salad. My up Manhattan came out in a rocks glass missing sweet vermouth. Was there bitters? I sent it back and asked hope a Sam Adam's. The SA was perfect! Our meals came out perfectly from the kitchen and were totally delicious! I can honestly recommend the Grilled Chicken Salad! With the mediocre drinks, it will probably be another 2 years before we stop in.

Whenever traveling I always use YELP, and it was right on the mark here too. Having grown up in Youngstown, OH, and having lived near New Haven, CT, I have eaten a lot of wonderful Italian Food. We didn't want to wait for a table to open up in the regular restaurant so we decided to eat at the GASTRONOMIA Italian Deli (same kitchen as the back restaurant). My wife is handicapped and some very kind ladies moved to a "high" table so we could sit at a lower table. We ordered from a young lady with the most amazing blue eyes and she brought our food when it was ready. My wife had the Muffuletta Sub and I had the Mighty Meatball Sub. My wife could only eat 1/4 of her sandwich and I could only eat 1/2 of mine. If you have ever lived in one of the two places I mentioned, you know good Italian . This was WONDERFUL Italian. I can't wait to go back there!

Though the table and chairs and other ambience, I'm not changed, we thought that this meal was particularly better than others that we've had in the past. We opened with adult beverages. I must say it was the best Manhattan I've ever had there at Oak Park Tavern! Nobody was complaining about their beverages either. After ordering our adult beverages, we ordered their combination appetizer. It is a collection of fried appetizer items, consisting of mushrooms, mozzarella, sauerkraut balls, pickles, and onion rings. I ordered their sirloin steak with blue cheese on top with their vegetable medley and a side of sautéed mushrooms. Mom ordered a fish that was stuffed with crab, our friend ordered a steak and shrimp, while my wife went for their chicken tenders. After a reasonable amount of time, all of our dishes came out. I must say I was fairly impressed with their steak, and particularly the vegetable medley that came with it. Our salads were great as well. I do enjoy the spinach salad with one bacon dressing. All in all pretty good visit. Well done!

It's like she would run away pretending they were busy becuase she knew there were issues . Bartender was good. About 4 other people eating at this time. About 6 other people at bar drinking . So bartender can handle 6+4 and all happy but kitchen, host, and server staff can't handle 9 people eating at once ? Kinda hard to run a restaurant like that. Maybe should try being a bar. Got 3 steaks all ordered medium . One was medium , one was well done, one was just burnt . The wagyu sushi was the most overcooked meat I have ever eaten. Was in Japan less than month ago and ate wagyu every day ; this was not Wagyu . Was not sushi . Was just scrap burnt meat piled in seaweed. This is not maki. The table was not set . For the pricing , I would expect the table to be set . Drinks were wrong and never refilled in a two hour dinner . This is a random small town, but based on pricing you'd see in Boston, Atlanta, New York - it is not the quality they are asking for . Especially not the service . Every menu item didn't match the descriptions Plating was well done , thats about the only compliment . Place is tacky inside , stairs to go to bathroom, weird temu valet light spinning at host stand , weird Star Wars stuff and other weird stuff mixed into decor . Kitchen looks angry , stares at you when you walk by Fish overcooked and dry McDonald's level cooking execution of what seem to be well made recipes , plated like fine dining , and in the setting of a dive bar , and prices of Morton's , and the taste worst than any restaurant I've eaten at on a 30 day road trip including chain restaurants . Need new FOH and BOH manager , and all new kitchen staff, need to redo decor and pick a theme, need to fix menus to match dishes , and get new servers . I mean that leaves almost nothing work keeping except the dishes , the presentation , and the bartender that were actually good and worth keeping

Mom decided on one of their specials, Dan's Special Noodles. Our Mel's came out relatively quickly. The noodle dishes were HUGE! All of our meals were extremely well prepared and delicious. We decided on splitting a piece of pumpkin cheesecake for dinner. Though seemingly smaller than the last time we had it, it was still delicious!
