Frosted mug for my lady's Diet Coke

This place has been around forever and we were in the area so decided to pop in and try it. I knew once I saw pizza burger on the menu I had to try. My wife got the footlong and tater salad and I got the pizza burger. We split the onion rings. This is a small place and kind of old, the chairs and decor have not been updated in forever and the booths are pretty beat up. But that's about the only fault I could find because the food was extraordinarily cheap, extraordinarily delicious and the lady waiting on us was very attentive and nice. This is probably the single best pizza burger I've ever eaten btw. If you're a fan of burgers and/or pizza burgers you MUST TRY IT. The onion rings were very crispy and delicious and my wife said her coney dog and tater salad were both quite good as well. We talked to an elderly gentleman upon leaving and he said he'd been eating there since the place opened back in the late 50's (if memory serves) which tells you all you need to know about just how good this place consistently is. I really recommend this place, just be aware it's kind of old and not fancy at all, but this is my kind of place, just good, cheap food and good help. RECOMMENDED!

Burger fries and fried cauliflower to go
    Jessica B.

My mother used to bring me here as a kid whenever we visited Mansfield. And as a kid I loved it. Their cheeseburgers with Velveeta, fresh cut fries, and their homemade rootbeer were all things I looked forward to. Flash forward to almost 30 years later when I end up moving to Mansfield and of course Porky's is one of the first places I wanted to go and to keep the tradition alive and take my own son. On to the food. There's good and bad. The burgers aren't as good as I remember. They are very thin, the Velveeta is good tho. They nickel and dime you for toppings like mayo, lettuce and tomato. The lettuce is iceburg which is fine except it's always really wilty which I can't stand. And the bun sucks. It's like a cheap grocery store bun and it hasn't been steamed or toasted. The fries are EXCELLENT. Fresh cut fair fries. They are always crispy and not too soggy. And they have vinegar for them which is a must for me. Also the homemade rootbeer and milkshakes are really good as well. I did try their fried cauliflower and I wasn't a huge fan. The ranch they serve it with was good but it tasted like they needed to change their cooking oil. All in all Porky's is a fun nostalgic place that even has car service. I will definitely be back for the fries alone but I think from now on I'll steer clear of the burger.

Was in town so we stopped in to try out a local joint to eat. Cute old place with very affordable food choices.

Onion rings. $3.95 they were ok. Server asked if we wanted ranch dressing- of course. Found out on the bill an additional .95 cents.

I'm honestly surprised this place is still open. Food was full of oil. The building is falling apart.

Chef salad is mostly cheese. Cheeseburger is greasy deliciousness. The shakes are awesome! Small indoor dining though.

Though the table and chairs and other ambience, I'm not changed, we thought that this meal was particularly better than others that we've had in the past. We opened with adult beverages. I must say it was the best Manhattan I've ever had there at Oak Park Tavern! Nobody was complaining about their beverages either. After ordering our adult beverages, we ordered their combination appetizer. It is a collection of fried appetizer items, consisting of mushrooms, mozzarella, sauerkraut balls, pickles, and onion rings. I ordered their sirloin steak with blue cheese on top with their vegetable medley and a side of sautéed mushrooms. Mom ordered a fish that was stuffed with crab, our friend ordered a steak and shrimp, while my wife went for their chicken tenders. After a reasonable amount of time, all of our dishes came out. I must say I was fairly impressed with their steak, and particularly the vegetable medley that came with it. Our salads were great as well. I do enjoy the spinach salad with one bacon dressing. All in all pretty good visit. Well done!

Having grown up in Youngstown, OH, and having lived near New Haven, CT, I have eaten a lot of wonderful Italian Food. We didn't want to wait for a table to open up in the regular restaurant so we decided to eat at the GASTRONOMIA Italian Deli (same kitchen as the back restaurant). My wife is handicapped and some very kind ladies moved to a "high" table so we could sit at a lower table. We ordered from a young lady with the most amazing blue eyes and she brought our food when it was ready. My wife had the Muffuletta Sub and I had the Mighty Meatball Sub. My wife could only eat 1/4 of her sandwich and I could only eat 1/2 of mine. If you have ever lived in one of the two places I mentioned, you know good Italian . This was WONDERFUL Italian. I can't wait to go back there!

We were disappointed when we arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon and there was no lunch menu-- we were given the full dinner menu with the full prices! Nonetheless, we ordered an appetizer to share, the Pot Stickers, and we each ordered the Garlic Shrimp as our entrée at $18 each. Our server was pleasant and as attentive as she could be given that she was the only server and they had her running around pretty good. While we were waiting for our food, we remarked that we both liked the decor of the restaurant with its red and black interior and distinctive Chinese design. This is maybe when we should've ditched. We first received our Pot Stickers appetizer, which arrived hot and sizzling, which I will say with enthusiasm was pretty darn good! We had high hopes for our entrées after this. We shouldn't have gotten our hopes up. After what seemed like a long while they arrived. Two plates of ?? what the hell was this stuff ? We recognized the shrimp and the rice but not much else. Okay it was two rather smallish plates with a load of rice topped with some shrimp and very mushy broccoli at each of the four corners. That was it. This broccoli was so mushy I could have eaten it with no teeth! That was the only vegetable. Every other Chinese restaurant in town makes Garlic Shrimp with a variety of vegetables in it! You know...crispy vegetables, cooked in a wok. And the sauce... Was there any? This dish was so bland and tasteless! There didn't appear to be any sauce in it. We both left hungry and $56 later because they wouldn't comp the bill at all after we complained! Did they run out of garlic? Did they run out of vegetables? Whether they ran out of either or both they did run out of two customers because we will never return and they get a bad review in return!
