We did take out of the Grilled Chicken Tender Salads. We have ordered this many times and they were always excellent, But, this time the grilled chicken pieces were very hard and uneatable. Food was hot and tasty. We got the rib lets tonight even the French fries were very fresh! The service was impeccable I did not get the you d man's name but he did an awesome job very attentive. I gave him the wrong gift certificate code but he kept trying in and came back and politely asked if I gave him the right code and of course I found out I didn't sorry about that. One of the best Applebee's I've been to in years! Everything was exceptional. From friendly courteous service , super clean restaurant with Catherine as your server you can't go wrong! A great friend of mine was in town so we went to Applebee's to grab a steak dinner and catch up. I have always enjoyed Applebee's in the past but I have noticed the past 2 visits the steak quality has drastically gotten worse and worse. Tonight I had their 12 ounce ribeye steak. It was literally the nastiest, toughest steak I have ever had. My jaw hurts from the chewing it was so bad and the gristle was despicable. I wasted a 1/3 of my steak as I had to spit it out it was beyond eatable. Their steak quality is horrible and disappointing, they have cut back on their quality for sure. I'm never ordering steak from there ever, ever again. Back to the old chicken standby as at least that is always consistent and good along with the spinach artichoke dip. On a good note, the Molten lava desert was awesome and the only highlight of the entire meal tonight. read more

If I could give this location ZERO stars I would have. I will not EVER come back to this location and I encourage you to steer clear of it as well! The potato looked like it had fallen on the ground as well. The chicken quesadilla was 99% cheese and I could count the tiny pieces of shredded chicken on 1 hand. This is DISGUSTING and unacceptable. I tried to call the location to speak with a manager when I got home, but they closed at 10pm. I am not eating ANY of this food as I do not know what these people have done to it. The fund was not to order. My steak was very over cooked. The service was not good. He was a very nice person. He did not check on us. He hovered over me at the pay machine. I was trying to do a review on the machine. He took over the review. I usually tip extremely well. He got about a quarter of what I usually leave. He has the potential to be an amazing server. Your food sucks and the website doesn't work. Every experience at this location has been negative

Let me start by saying I am a regular attendee at this establishment. Tonight left something to be desired. The first thing that happened was we waited 15 minutes after we were seated to even be acknowledged. No drinks, no silverware, not even a hello. Then, when our waiter finally decided to greet us I ordered a sprite with grenadine (Shirley temple) and he asked "what kind of grenadine?" And I said "the regular". I was then served 15 more minutes later a Starry- no grenadine in sight. We waited another 10 minutes (at least) for a mixed drink which was fortunately correct. We then ordered our food with some substitutions that were met, but CERTAINLY not in a timely manner. Our entire experience was 2+ hours long when we usually only spend about an hour here. We will return, but hopefully with a different experience. read more

Let me start out by saying I am not a fan of Applebee's. I hadn't been in this chain for years and my last experience was memorable in a very bad way. Fast forward a number of years, we are in OH with a loved one in hospice and Applebee's is the closest restaurant to the hospice facility. We were staying at the hospice 24/7 so when we needed to take a break for food it was nice to really take a break and get away for a short time. Applebee's provided the necessary distraction. First - this is one of the cleanest Applebee's I have ever been in. The staff was friendly, welcoming and provided excellent service with our every visit. We became regulars in just 4 days and on our last visit, they went so far as to offer a discount even though we never asked. The friendly, personable bartenders helped us forget for just a short while why we were in OH this visit. Thank you! The food - I wasn't expecting much, but I have to admit it was fresh, well prepared and delicious. The Brew Pub Pretzels with Beer Cheese Dip were addicting. Salads were fresh and huge. My husband's Thai Shrimp Salad had so many shrimp he couldn't finish and to top it off, the shrimp were cooked perfectly -not chewy in the least. Sandwiches and burgers were also spot on. Every experience we had in this particular Applebee's was positive, so much so I might be willing to give a location in NOVA another chance when I get a hankering for those pretzels. Since we happened to be there over Cinco de Mayo we had to give their Margarita a chance. Our bartender recommended the Perfect Margarita and it was really quite good. I was surprised that it was garnished with not only a lime, but also an olive. Sounds weird, but the brininess of the olive imparted a great flavor to the margarita. It also tasted pretty darn good after it had soaked in margarita for a while. All in all we had great experiences at this particular Applebee's and if I were ever up in the area with an occasion to stop for food, this would probably be one of my first choices in Ashland. read more

It's Applebee's, so you know what to expect. There's really nothing that sets this store apart from its partner stores in other cities and towns, other than that it's in Ashland, Ohio, which means that everyone in this town tends to flock to it when they have need of some place to "eat out" at. It's generally always filled to the gills with folks, but I've never had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to eat here. The food is what the food is at every Applebee's I've been to, which means that it's fine, but I can't escape feeling jacked over in regard to the bill every time I go. I will say this, however: they have a foccacia burger that comes with a side of garlic-parmesan fries that drive me absolutely crazy. read more

The Only reason for this low rating is their steak quality, I order my steak medium and it came out well and had a watery flavor. I've ate there multiple times and I have had a lot of really tasty meals there. Every once in a while I will order their steak and am always disappointed. I wait a year or so and order another one in hopes that it is better, to no avail its not, still disappointing. So to sum it up I've been happy with my meals as long as they don't involve steak. read more

Received a gift card from my mom that had $18.90 left on it. Decided to order take out which I have never done before with them. I got the Parmesan Steak and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans, and it was absolutely amazing! Can't say enough about the Parmesan sauce. It was so good. I used the leftover sauce with the garlic mashed potatoes and fell in love with it. I would definitely recommend trying this meal! They brought my dinner out to my car for me, and the service was friendly. Great way to end my weekend! read more

My friends and I went to Applebee's for their birthdays and the hostess Maddy managed to ruin the experience by encouraging us to leave because the wait was going to be an hour. She had an awful attitude among her other employees. This is NOT the first time we've had this problem either. Get better employees. read more

After a 16 hour drive from Louisiana we arrived in Ashland about 9pm tired and hungry. Even though there were available tables we sat at the bar, where we were quickly greeted by the barmaid, Rhonda, who possessed a wonderful personality and beautiful smile. Where do I begin. .. it's Ashland, Oh so there isn't much here. This restaurant doesn't have to do anything to have customers and they don't do anything when it comes to the quality of food. You could expect for frozen chicken and steak to be prepared decently enough for somewhat enjoyable consumption but not here. As the friendly servers conjure around the hostess stand and computers you are left sitting...patiently and so is your already over cooked food. They'll take it back and prepare you another meal of exactly the same. In the end you'll be out $40 and still hungry. So be sure to at least bring along some good company. read more
