Side salad lettuce was disgusting, browning, and mushy
Cynthia M.

This was a take-out order. Otherwise, I'm sure the food issues would have been resolved. Two burgers, which you are charged extra for things like onion, and subbing a side salad also costs extra, which I can never understand because you're giving up the fries. Unfortunately, the salad was bad. Lettuce, old and browning, limp. And the fries were over-cooked and tasted burnt, inedible. However, the burger itself was juicy and very tasty! Service was fast and staff very friendly. The restaurant looked clean, and the waitresses really hussled. My friends highly recommended this place so I might give it another chance. The onion rings are amazing. I had them at a friend's house a while back, and they are addictive.

This was our first trip in, clean and pleasant location. It was seat yourself today, we were promptly greeted on sitting down. Our waitress brought out our drinks in good time and took our order. Our food was out in a reasonable time and was very good, portion size was a bit small for the price in my opinion. Pie for dessert was tasty. Would definitely recommend and I'm sure we will be back.

I came here with my Mom to have dinner, looks pretty nice inside, and we were told to sit wherever we want. Staff was pretty friendly and welcoming. Neither of us got a refill for our water the entire time we were there but that didn't really bother me too much. My Order: Spaghetti, which came with salad and a breadstick. Breaded Pickles. And for desert Caramel Apple Pie. First off, the salad was really good, usually I wouldn't say anything about salads because it's salad, but this salad was amazing, the croutons weren't hard to eat and they had every option for dressing excluding Caesar. Next, the breaded pickles, dill pickles that are fried, nice and crispy on the outside. Spaghetti, it was unfortunately lukewarm when I got it, and the breadstick reminds me of the bread you can get at Little Caesars, spaghetti sauce was very runny and left my bread to get soggy. Last but not least, the caramel apple pie, it looked great, but then I realized it had walnuts in it! I've never had apple pie with walnuts inside of it, there's no warning either so it's a good thing I'm not allergic. Over all it wasn't that bad, I paid about 30$ for two people plus desert, would I return? I'd return if someone asked to go but other than that I wouldn't return on my own.

Jumbo cinnamon roll

Great little mom and pops spot. If your looking for a small home cooked style restaurant try Lu Lu's. They have great burgers and fresh cut fries! I have also tried their breakfast and like it. I enjoyed the jumbo cinnamon roll, just wanted more icing, but it had great flavor in my opinion. All around good home cooked style food.

Lu lu's is the greatest place in this small town very juicy burgers cooked how you want it. They're fries (which are fresh cut) are delicous. You can ask for buttered buns. And has definitely taken heat off old 30 barbecue. If your ever in town come HERE FIRST.

Baker's Pizza Sports Shack - Chicken bacon ranch sandwich amazing

And the employees were nice. And the ambience, despite being moderately loud, it doesn't really matter for the food you're getting.

Visited the restaurant for their Detroit Style pizza special. The wording of the pizza description,…read morealong with the price, led us to believe the price INCLUDED up to three toppings. It did not specify toppings were an additional charge of what was a small pizza at $16.99. After placing the order, with three toppings (one of which was bacon), ate the pizza. It was really good. After receiving the bill, I was SHOCKED that the toppings were an additional charge to the already higher priced pizza for a SMALL. The bacon alone was $5.98! My bill was $30 for a SMALL PIZZA - it was good but not THAT GOOD for $30! We did question this, after asking for the manager, and why the menu description would not have clarified that the toppings were an ADDITIONAL charge and she said its because its just like the regular menu. The waiter never mentioned that the toppings were additional or that a bacon topping cost the amount of a pound of bacon! She offered a $10 coupon that would be emailed to me since they already ran my credit card and could not void the transaction. I have not seen the $10 credit/coupon email as of yet... Bakers, while their food is good, need to do better on clarifying their menu.

A Slice of Simple Life at Pickwick Place - Bucyrus, Ohio…read more If you're road-tripping from Columbus to Lake Erie and craving a pause from the gas stations and fast food chains, make a detour to Pickwick Place in Bucyrus, Ohio. It's more than just a pit stop--it's a charming taste of Ohio's heartland, served up with a side of fresh jam and a blackberry lemonade slush. A Market Made for Food Lovers Pickwick's farmer's market is a celebration of all things local and delicious. Picture this: crates overflowing with vibrant, seasonal produce--ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, juicy peaches, and sweet corn picked that very morning. Alongside the produce, you'll find a bounty of locally made goods--jams and jellies in every flavor imaginable, homemade pickles, fresh-baked breads, and dressings that taste like something your grandma whipped up in her kitchen. And let's talk about the fry pies. If you know, you know. If you don't--these handheld pockets of flaky pastry filled with gooey fruit fillings are reason enough to turn off the highway. They're my personal favorite indulgence here. Good luck stopping at just one. The market also stocks frozen meats from a local butcher, so if you've got a cooler in the trunk, you can take a little taste of Pickwick home to your own grill. Handcrafted Charm in Every Corner Step into the second building and you're met with a world of homemade crafts and rustic decor. It's like walking into a Pinterest board come to life--wooden signs, hand-stitched items, seasonal decorations, and more. Whether you're looking for a cute centerpiece or just browsing for inspiration, you'll find something to warm your home and heart. A Garden of Sunshine Out by the greenhouse, nature puts on her Sunday best. When we visited, sunflowers, zinnias, and wildflowers painted the landscape in bold, beautiful color. And here's the best part--you can grab a jar and some cutters, stroll through the garden, and build your own bouquet of fresh-cut flowers. It's a peaceful, slow moment in the middle of your day--and it smells amazing, too. Sit. Sip. Savor. If you're feeling a little hungry (again), Pickwick's small café has you covered with sandwiches and comfort foods that are perfect for a quick but satisfying lunch. Pair your meal with one of their frozen slush drinks, like the tart and tangy apple cider or the refreshing blackberry lemonade--trust me, it hits the spot on a summer day. Whether you're stocking up on fresh goods, hunting for homemade treasures, or just craving a peaceful stroll through blooming flowers, Pickwick Place is a reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things. So next time you're heading north to the lake, carve out a little time to pull off the road and experience this gem tucked away in Bucyrus. Take the Trip. Your next adventure is waiting--maybe with a fry pie in hand.
