My son had an exam there and got a prescription for his glasses. Everyone is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of frames, especially for teenagers, since they are more difficult with their choices :) would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. read more

I walked in here for an eye exam and to pick up a new pair of glasses and I got so much more. Dr. Chung was so good at what she does. She went above and beyond the normal check up. I had some eyelid irritation that I told her about and she took the time to thoroughly check my eyes and determined root cause where as to the optomologist I went to a few weeks back barely looked at my eyes and basically let me go with artificial tear drops turns out I have a stye. I'm so appreciative of the TLC Dr. Chung provided with my visit. We need more doctors like her. She will be my eye doc from this point on. After my exam was done, Maria helped me pick out my glasses. Very patient and very helpful explaining all of the options that came with my benefits. Very sweet person. Great customer service all around. I'd recommend this place to anyone. One of the largest selection of glasses I've seen as well. Conveniently located at the entrance of the mall near Burlington factory. Oh and I want to add, it was a beautiful , large and very clean store. The place smelled great, like new. read more

Dr Mananian at the Burbank Mall office is BY FAR the best optometrist I have ever seen. After years of clinic exams and the clinics substandard glasses, I finally treated myself to try and get some contacts, she totally looked out for me and I'm so happy. If you want the best treatment ever I would ask for Mananian, though the rest of the staff was very "on spot" as well in their support! read more

Great, easy and helpful. No wait. I was in and out for my exam. I felt that they really listened to what was going on with my eye sight and didn't rush me. Good frame selection and good prices. read more

Love this place! Very nice and talked my through everything I needed to know. For an extra $20 they did another test that saw the back of my eyeballs that was pretty cool read more

Family and I have been customers for years. Sorry to say that will no longer be the case. Customer service has been going downhill. Some of their current front desk clerks have a bad attitude. Troubling recent experiences with outright misrepresentations and failures to disclose with respect to expected wait times and who actually makes the lenses that they sell. You can expect lots of upsell on frames and services. Big markups on frames. Optometrists keep cycling in and out. And their equipment and facilities are aging. Lots of other options in LA: go elsewhere if you can. Two stars only because we had good experiences years ago. read more

Dr. Patel is the most thorough optometrist I've ever met with. She was super patient and not in a rush at all as I've experienced at other offices. She is very informative and walks you through what she's doing that you'll appreciate. She listened intently to a couple of concerns I had and answered all my questions kindly. The office is clean, and the staff is also really professional. I will definitely be back to see Dr. Patel; she is unbelievably dope! read more

I needed repairs on my YSL Sunglasses, and I had already been to a few other places that wouldn't touch my glasses if I didn't but it from them. But I took a chance on this place. A really nice lady named Frial helped me out with no questions asked and didn't even want to charge me! What a breath of fresh air! There are still businesses out there willing to help out without charging. This place is a gem! Thank you again! :) read more

I've been going to Stein for many years for my annual exam. The staff and doctors are always so nice, helpful and thorough with exams. They've never been pushy with helping me pick out new frames if I want them, which I greatly appreciate. I've also dropped in periodically when I needed a quick fix on frames, like a readjustment. Most recently, Natalie assisted me with a pair of glasses where the screw had come out. She repaired it quickly and was super friendly. I definitely recommend! read more

I needed one of the nose pads replaced and one of the legs(?) tightened on my sunglasses and this was the closest location to my house. I called ahead and made sure that this was a service they offered without some exorbitant pricing and today I had some time, so I was able to drop by. There were no other customers around when I approached the front and explained my need. The girl was nice but when she heard that I did not purchase the sunglasses from them, she threw in like a "if anything happens to the frames, we won't take responsibility for it!" verbal waiver that made me a little nervous. But that ended up being unnecessary, because Maria took my sunglasses, worked on them for like... five minutes tops? And had them looking brand new. She was efficient but also careful - I watched the way she handled them. She also went through the hassle of cleaning them for me, which was lovely. Best part was probably that it was all for free! Note: I was in and out of replacing my nose pads because I wasn't finicky about calling Gucci and getting authentic Gucci pads. Maria replaced them with their generic brand. But if you want your brand to match from frame to nose pad, they'll have to call the brand and see how much those nose pads are, and will probably have to charge you for those. read more

Great Customer service! Came here for my eye exam and contacts! They have all the latest technology for your eye exam! Definitely recommend this place! Be sure to ask for Frial she's the best! read more

I came in for glasses today and was thoroughly impressed by their quality of products AND their customer service. Frial helped me find a pair and i couldn't be happier with new specs! My experience at the store was very enjoyable as well. This place is a must check out! read more

Came in this past weekend to have my insurance verified and Rachel was kind enough to verify my insurance. During our conversation, I told her my sunglasses had been feeling a bit off and she was kind enough to adjust my sunglasses as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I received wonderful customer service! read more

This place is truly the BEST! I needed my sunglasses fixed and Maria not only helped me right away, she was so incredibly generous, kind and quick. I highly recommend this place! read more

This place is seriously the best. So patient and helpful with my daughter's glasses when we got them and super helpful and so kind when we needed repairs! They really go the extra mile for their customers! LOVE them! read more

Went into my 40s without needing glasses. Then it hit me quickly. A friend recommended Stein Optometric, and I haven't been disappointed. Dr. To was awesome. Highly informative and made me feel welcome. And when I couldn't make it in on his day, Dr. Kawamura didn't miss a beat. The office manager, Marilu, is very professional and the staff run a tight ship. Like them a lot, and they will be my permanent optometrists. read more

They have a great selection of frames. I returned 11 months after i originally had my pair to get the frames adjusted and i was helped out by Frial. She's very accommodating and sweet. Quick and easy fix. The staff is super friendly. :) read more

I've been getting my contacts from here for years now. The people that work there are amazing and super helpful. I recently went there to get glasses. The young lady who helped me had an interesting name. I will never forget. It was Freōl. She spent at least an hour with me while I tried on dozens of glasses. I can't imagine how annoying I must have seemed. She was very patient. We finally found the right pair! I get compliments on the glasses everyday! Thanks Freōl! read more

Unprofessional, rude and not a place you want to spend your time and money. Or sacrifice your health either. The receptionist tried to cancel my appointment 10 minutes before my scheduled Time and move it to when it was convenient for the overbooked schedule the office had made for their day. DISHONEST TOO. after I received a response stating I showed up late I will now ADD THAT THIS BUSINESS IS DISHONEST. I DID NOT GO TO MY APPOINTMENT BECAUSE IT WAS UNLAWFULLY CANCELED AS I STATED. DEAR STEIN OPTIC, STOP RESPONDING with DISHONESTY AND AT THIS POINT IT IS HARASSMENT. read more

Great service, good instructions on how to put on contacts lens for first timer. Very satisfied!

Finding a new optometric center is never easy but working with Frial made the decision to come here an easy. She is very personable and takes the time to answer all of your questions. Also, she's happy to help explain the best way to use your eye insurance. Make sure to ask for her. read more

I have been going to an optometrist for 40 years, most of my life. My vision sucks and so I have had quite a few optometrist in my life. So when my friend axed me about my doc visit, I paused I told her that it was the best visit I had with a doc, prolly ever. I dont think I have ever had a BAD doc persay, but I definitely had a great doc at Stein Optometric. He (Dr Au) made me comfortable and filled my head with some knowledge and chastised me (just a little) about how I wear my contacts 24 hours a day, which is cool. If you are close by, go see Dr Au. PLUS they said my contacts will be here on Monday, and bing bam boom, I get a call Monday morning that my contacts came in. Not the week it took at my last place, NICE! read more

I've been going here for several years for both eyeglasses and contact lenses. I'm always impressed and thankful for how helpful the staff and doctors are. Doctor Kawamura is attentive to my needs (I have astigmatism which makes choosing the right contact lenses fun) and is very patient and takes time to answer any questions I may have. True, their office is located in the mall but it's not difficult to find (especially if you use the maps). Call ahead to make an appointment and you will be fine. read more

Best place and totally recommend to friends and family. Frial went above and beyond with helping my husband find the right glasses! She really cared about us and wanted to make sure we had the right fit of glasses and followed up with us to make sure everything was going well when taking them home. Great customer service! We are definitely coming back! read more

Maria was so kind and helpful with me. I came in for an eye exam and wanted to get my glasses adjusted. I wasn't sure if my frames could be adjusted, but she said she'd give it a try. 5 minutes later, she came back with what feels like brand new frames! Thank you so much Maria! read more

Frial is amazingly helpful, friendly and welcoming. She fixed my broken glasses and made them new in number of minutes. If you want quality service come here. They also have a huge selection of eye wear that would suit your needs. read more

Best optometrist I've ever been to. Not that I've ever had a horrible experience with any optometrist anywhere else, but Dr. Steins office has a wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. I've been going there for a about 3 years now. Dr. Stein is extremely nice and passionate about what he does, so he is very informative and takes the time to make sure you're comfortable and that he does what's best for your eyes and vision. Last time I went in for a visit, I learned Dr. Stein has retired from seeing patients, but the Dr. I saw there was equally friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The women who work in the store are also very friendly and helpful in helping you select the right pair of glasses for you. I've also never had a problem getting an appointment when I need one. They are even open on Saturdays and the mall parking is free. I have absolutely no complaints about this business at all. read more

"Dr. Eric To" was the most thorough optometrist I have ever been to. He was quick, but made sure all my needs/concerns were addresses. I previously saw Dr. Edwin Cook, who is also very thorough. All the doctors here are excellent at their profession, and the staff works hard to keep things moving quickly. read more

Everyone here was very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large selection of frames to choose from and offer very helpful one-on-one training for first time contact lens wearers. I highly recommend! read more

FIVE STARS ALL AROUND FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thank you Geenie for calling and apologizing. It means a great a deal. One satisfied customer-CHECK! I look forward to trying this place again in the near future. read more

Wow, what a pleasant experience I had. Who knew that getting your eye check up and glasses could be so much fun! The staff here was so wonderful, friendly, and patient, I just couldn't help but want to linger around with them. Michelle was especially helpful in finalizing some choices for frames because I am just so darn indecisive! So if you are reading this, thank you Michelle!! And if you're also indecisive like me, make sure to strongly consider their suggestions. The staff here generally know what would look good and what would not on you, so definitely take advantage of their knowledge. Dr Eric To was also probably the nicest Optometrist I have ever met. He took his time and explained everything he was doing, and also gave me advice and precautionary steps to ensure healthy eyes (like how a good doctor should). 5 stars for such an affectionate staff, wide selection of frames, and quality service. If you're in need of new contacts, glasses, or whatever... look no further and come check this place out! read more

Iv'e been going to Stein Optometric for years, and I have no reason to stop. Over the years, Iv'e lived all over LA and I still drive back to burbank for my exams and glasses/contacts because of the care I receive from Dr. ELLA HARTOONIAN. There is a stigma around Optometrists and Dentists; they are not real doctors. Working in the dental field and being around optometrists for 20+ years, Iv'e come to the conclusion, its because generally they don't conduct themselves like medical professionals. Dr. Ella Hartoonian, conducts her self like any other doctor you would find in an hospital or outpatient facility. I got hit in the eye with a belt buckle, (don't ask) 4 years ago, and she still asks me if there has been any new developments in my injury, (the optical gel was shaken and i see little stars now and then. Which can worsen over time). She has a motherly approach and is very informative about your vision and the working of the eye. She also is very honest when it comes to what contacts (should you need them) are best for you and which deals have a bigger mail in rebate :) I did see another doctor there, when Dr. Hartoonian was unavailable, (she works at the other office sometimes I think), big mistake. I wont put the person on blast, just no where near the same kind of care and attention Dr. Hartoonian gives. I can see why people have put the front office down, sometimes they can be a lil inattentive or lethargic. But they have been kind nonetheless. And they always straighten my glasses out when I sit/step/kick/toss them, lol. I'll be making an appointment later this month! read more

Walked in to set up an appointment before the end of the year, I am an amazing procrastinator, they were very booked but Maria helped me out and got me an appointment during the weekend. Went in and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Maria helped me pick out these super cute frames. Can't thank her enough for all the help she provided!!! I know this will continue to be my and my families optometrists. read more

My daughter was sitting in the front while I was with the doctor. The staff was gossiping about my daughter and she heard, and she was very hurt. This place needs more professional staff. The doctor though was very professional and sweet. read more

My (used to be) regular optometrist down the street by Orange Grove & San Fernando couldn't handle replacing the screw that fell out of my glasses that I had taken back 3 times already for one issue or another. Won't be back there. Maria helped out in 1 minute and had me back in business. Nice, easy and a great selection! Can't wait to get a new pair next week read more

I hate to write a negative review because everyone is nice and courteous here, the doctors seem competent and the frames selection is fantastic, but what kind of a professional optometry office doesn't have an actual OPTICIAN? Last year or so, even with vision insurance, I spent over a grand out of my own pocket for a pair of glasses, but I know I'd be able to see a lot better out of these very expensive glasses if they had, AT THE VERY LEAST, adjusted the nose pads. Isn't that a no-brainer for an eye place? But, nah. The very nice young woman simply handed me my new glasses, asked if I can see out of them and sent me on my way. Sad. The last optometrist I used to see - and I don't know why I decided to stop going there - the optician there would take at least 10 minutes measuring, calibrating, adjusting, until they fit perfectly with optimal vision. And especially since I'm getting older, I probably need more attention and care than when I were in my teens and 20's. I wasn't even going to write a review but I got a couple of calls from you guys to come in for my annual exam and felt compelled to let you guys know of my experience and that you seriously need to hire a competent optician. Plus, there's a scratch on my frames, which are black. The lens makers probably did that with a sharp instrument while trying to fit the lenses in my over-600-bucks, Japanese made glasses. Sigh. I can live with it (have been), but the carelessness of it is upsetting. Sorry, Stein, I won't ever be coming back, but please hire a good optician for the rest of your patients. They need it. read more
