I purchased a set of expensive Oakley sunglasses and after the warranty expired. (1 year) I asked them to see what they could do to fix a problem with the lens and frame. One lens kept falling out. I am happy to report they not only covered everything under warranty. They did it much faster than what they originally quoted. Outstanding service, and a business that stands behind their products. I needed to update my prescription and was given a choice of optometrists. My friend said Stein Optometric center was where her parents have gone for as long as she can remember. Knowing her parents, I knew I could trust their choice. They took my temp and asked the usual covid questions before I came in. I was given a particular chair to sit in and it was marked "Occupied" for the duration of my visit. Dr. Eva Hui was extremely thorough and helped me understand the images and charts after the tests we did. She made me feel like I was the only person who mattered at that moment. It was nice since I hate being rushed through appts. Maria helped me (and put up with me) try on and find the right frame for my face. Something in my budget.. but something I loved. I was about the give up and use my old frames... and then she found them. They're perfect! Overall, my experience here was great. I've been going to Stein for a few years now and they have always been friendly, courteous and helpful to everyone I've seen them interact with. Recently, I went in looking for a new pair of plastic tortoise shell framed glasses but the only pair they had were way out of my budget. Luckily, Eva asked me if she could help me with anything and even after I had combed over the selection numerous time, she found me a pair that were perfect and within my budget. It's amazing what great customer service can accomplish. I'd rather spend an extra hundred dollars at Stein with Eva then save the money at the unhelpful Costco in Burbank, where nobody even remotely assisted me. Well all this time of living so close to the Burbank Town Center, where drag queen and beauty pageant gowns go to die, and I had NO idea this place existed. I found myself getting ready to leave down with a broken arm on my Chloe prescription. I came in to see if they had a glass repair service menu and Maria took a look and said to just hang out and wait. Now I don't go here and didn't buy my glasses here, but she disappeared in the back and in minutes was back out with my glasses fixed and shiney and clean! No problem and no attitude or upselling to someone who is not a regular customer/patient. I will also say that they have THE largest selection of designer glasses I've ever seen! Their selection- spread through several display cases- includes a bunch of great brands and really nice looking very stylish glasses. She was great with my children, as she also assisted with their exam. We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. To. He was very patient with my children, as they had a lot of questions about their exam. He answered their questions in a manner that they would understand. I am very happy with the services he provided. I did not feel rushed in any way, as I have felt in the past. Dr. Stein is great. He sits down and takes his time to explain things to you in a way that you understand. He cuts through a lot of medical terms right to what you need to know about your eyes and what to expect as you age. His staff is also great in terms of making you feel like you are important. Service is pretty great and he will give you what seems to be an honest opinion. In selecting glasses, the staff member took a long time to show me many options to try and advised on what looked the best. It is kind of interesting that it's in the mall but it was a pleasant surprise that this place turned out to be pretty great. I couldn't really imagine an optometrist being too much better. read more
