Great Food - quick, clean, good seating, lighting, safe atmosphere. God Bless that Steak and Shake salute the United States and recognize Charlie Kirk as a force-for-good for the Nation.

Do not go to the steak 'n shake. Simple order garlic burger with lettuce tomato and onion. Also fries and cheese sauce for dipping. No tomato on the burger, and no cheese dipping sauce. I took my receipt up to the calendar to show them it was ordered and paid for. They gave me a half full little container cheese that didn't look right. And a slice of tomato that was green and in a horrible shape. The staff member behind the counter did not offer an apology just smiled and laughed like it was funny. Horrible food horrible service don't go there.

Stop by for a burgers & a shake haven't been there in long time. You order your food on the computer pay and seat down. The burgers and fries where hot. The shake was enough to share.

weve come here twice now just for milkshakes because they are so nostalgic. weve tried the butterfinger, oreo red velvet (limited edition), recees, and birthday cake. each was amazing in its own way. our all time favorite has been the oreo red velvet by far though. also the workers are so caring!

Do you like a steak burger? I do. Do you like a tasty shake? I do. Funny enough, Steak 'n Shake has both! I have been a fan for a long time, but I have never been to this location. The other day I was meeting a business associate in the area and thought, I could use a shake. I walked in and felt kinda lucky, there was no line at all to order. Steak 'n Shake is a sit down place, but also you can order to go, that's what I always do. I know it all depends on the person there at the time, but I had 2 different girls help me choose what to get. I wanted every shake on the board. In part due to the embarrassment of the idea of walking to my car with 10 shakes, I chose the cookies and cream. as it was part of a combo coupon I had, I got the Patty melt with it. Both were really great. The shake was chunky, including the trade mark cherry that sits in every shake. The Patty Melt was golden brown from the butter toasted into it. It may not have been photogenic, but it hit the spot. Especially 'cause when I asked for extra pickles, they gave me a bunch. I sure it's not the best service every time, but this visit was great in every way. I just got so hungry writing this review I may have to stop back in there today!

The food is good but the place is very dirty. The floor and the bathrooms are always dirty and the baby chairs smell horrible.

The vegetables were delicious - we had sides of sautéed spinach ($9) and charred Brussels sprouts (listed as an app at $14). A meatballs starter ($16) was also enjoyed - with a dollop of whipped ricotta in the center. Two of us had pasta entrees. The spaghetti could best be described as "industrial" or "so so" (as one dining companion said). The chicken in the chicken Marsala was "very good". The butterflied shrimp in the parmigiana was so thickly encrusted with fried breading, that the shrimp was completely overwhelmed by mouthfuls of crusty batter that adhered to the shrimp. It was hard to appreciate the shrimp at all in there. They were huge (in fact, they looked like small breaded chicken filets). But the excess of breading and batter overwhelmed the shrimp. Also, stomach not feeling so great later. I write this from the throne. The server had the manager come over to speak to us, and he insisted that's just how it's made and that was that. (He offered to have a few more shrimp cooked up but the meal was done at that point). $32 was a lot to pay for mediocre pasta and breading with shrimp. On the fair side, when asked about the shrimp parmigiana vs another dish, the server said that she would recommend the shrimp because there would be more to take home after - which was not our goal for dinner. For my meal I would give it no more than 2 stars but my companions enjoyed theirs more (despite the "so so" spaghetti), so I upped to 3. Will not be eating here again.

They have a really nice outdoor seating area, complete with heaters when needed. We chose to dine inside. The vibe inside the restaurant was kind of a boho rustic feel, and I really liked it. Soft lighting and music really set the tone. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gustavo, and given our menus. We don't drink, but they had a nice selection of drinks, cocktails and spirits. We decided to start with the sweet and sour cauliflower. It was absolutely delicious! Cauliflower battered and fried and tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. For our entree we shared the 44oz Creekstone ribeye. It was served with charred broccolini and and a fried airy potato side dish that was out of this world! The steak came sliced and off the bone, so it was perfect for sharing. It was served with 3 toppings; a horseradish sauce, a balsamic glaze, and delicious mixture of sliced peppers. Our steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. We did not have dessert there, as we had a birthday cake at home. And I feel remiss that I didn't even look to see what they had. Overall, it was the perfect place to have a romantic, celebratory dinner! Thanks Driftwood. *Just a Note ~ I found it odd they added a 20% tip on a 2 top table, and I was glad I noticed it on the bill before we double tipped.

A few of the things I liked.. - Fruit juice used for mixers is made in-house fresh daily. The drinks are creative and made well. - The sweet and sour cauliflower, the sliders, the chicken and dumplings. - Servers are always knowledgeable and attentive - indoor and outdoor seating with fans on a warm day. Upscale vibe with dim lighting. - plenty of parking A few I didn't.. - The fish dip was just ok - the fried part of the southern fried chicken while juicy on the inside, lacked flavor - the up charge for almond vanilla milk in the espresso martini without being told up front of the added cost -the steak tartare happy hour portion is 1 bite-sized piece. Just offer the normal sized portion for a reduced happy hour price as opposed to 1/4th the portion for 1/3rd the price. Overall I would say every experience is good but not great. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try and seeing if you agree with my review.

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.
