They messed up my car all around and then wouldn't take responsibility for it .... called a bunch of times no answer . Left voice mails no answer . Went there in person he claimed the mechanic that touched the car is at lunch and can't confirm if that happened . I got pictures and videos of proof . I walked in there for ... headlight tail light tint Brand new carbon fiber Hood and trunk install And fender liners And underliner . First off I got the car back with no underliner and no one telling me this information till I checked my oil and there's nothing under my car .. next they put new fenders in and both driver and passenger panels and side skirt of my car will not go back in and pop out I now need new ones . As for the brand new $3000 carbon fiber hood wrapped up by me was inspected at purchase it's on my car with 3 cracks . And my trunk had a ding too . LASTLY my tints came off the day it was put on my headlights and tail lights ... and my tail lights were scrapped along the sides therefore MY WRAP and OEM PAINT of my car was DESTROYED . YET they claim THAT WASNT THEM AND THEY WONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. ASKING ME TO BRING MY CAR BACK TO "FIX IT" WHY SO U CAN MESS SOMTHING ELSE UP. So these guys messed up my sisters new car causing so much damage. Then they go ahead and tell my sister that I called and apologized on her behalf when I haven't spoken to anyone but one lady who told me they issued her a refund today which was also not true. The amount of damage caused to the vehicle is more than the amount of service we were getting from these guys. Avoid them at all costs. Wasn't going to post this review until they went ahead and lied about me calling and apologizing. Very unprofessional! Avoid this place. Will not recommend to anyone read more

I recently added wheels, tires, and a leveling kit to my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited and I could not be happier with the work!! At first, I was a little intimidated by all the "flashy" cars that Status Motoring turns out on a regular basis, but that quickly went away. Joel, the owner, has a Jeep Wrangler himself and is well versed about parts and specifications for what was best for my JK. I knew exactly what I wanted on my Jeep and Joel had no problem ordering the parts (at a better-than-market-price) and had them in his shop in no time. I dropped my Jeep off and in less than 48 hours, Joel had the car ready to go. He even bagged up my old tires and threw them in my car for me. These guys here are honest, professional, and QUICK. They're a one stop shop for any customization on ANY vehicle. As I continue to upgrade my JK, I will be back to Status Motoring for all the work. read more

TL;DR - Status has very friendly employees but the quality of work highly depends on whether you are a celebrity &/or how expensive your car is. I have a 4 series BMW and have been retaining their services for 2 years now - the only reason why it has been this long is because I am young, dumb & was too lazy to research other shops in the area. Their lack of attention to detail, lack of priority for your car when they make mistakes, & questionable ability/skill to perform jobs is what has led me to write this review. I have already been to one other shop to re-do work they have done & am currently searching to pay for another shop to double-check other work they have done as I no longer trust it. Below I detail all the work they have done & rated it accordingly as much as I could due to character limit: 1. 5 Stars: a. Rims - 20 inch Rotiform (pic #1 - Apr'17) b. Painted red brake calipers (pic #1 - Apr '17) c. Gloss black rims (pic #2 - Dec '17) d. AFE Cold air intake (pic #3 - Dec '17). e. JB4 tune (pic #4 - forgot date). 2. 3 Stars: a. Msport bumper conversion - I was in an accident & decided to use the insurance claim money for an Msport bumper. The bumper itself is beautiful (attached pic from Dec 2018 #7). Despite the substantial damage to the front, Status did not test drive/think to check the sensors in the front. After receiving the car, I realized they didnt work and had to purchase them at a later date, which was annoying. After a few months I opened my hood for the first time & closed it, but it was in an odd position. One side would be closed more than the other, etc. I opened/closed 20+ times to no avail. See pictures attached from May 2019 #7 w/ yellow arrows, when this occurred. (I assumed this was from the Msport bumper conversion but to be honest I cannot confirm). After they installed my ER IC it was perfectly flush. Said it was because I "didn't fully close the hood." Based on the pics you can be the judge. It's perfect now though. 3. 1 Star: a. Subwoofer/amp installation (negative stars if possible) - I had someone install a subwoofer/amp in the summer of '17 & they did a poor job so I had Status re-do the installation with all new wires, etc. in Dec 2017. At first, it worked great. 3-6 months later it stopped working so I brought it back to them & they "fixed" it. I think this happened one more time. After yet another time I hire a different shop to re-wire it. The new shop they shows me pictures of before & after. They explain/show me that two wires weren't connected, two wires plugged into the wrong spot (wrong +/-), they drilled into the metal floor of my car instead of putting a false floor (I can confirm this was not done by the original person from summer '17), did not use the correct wire for one instance which could damage my car's CPU, & they wired it so the amp would be on 24/7, regardless if the car was on/off. They said & I quote, "Did you have a friend do this job? Because this is not professionally done." They would not send me the pics as evidence as they do not want to strain relationships with other store owners they know. To top it off, I paid less than half of what Status charged me! b. Gloss black roof wrap & mirror wrap - May 2019 - This job was severely rushed. Instead of keeping it for an extra day, they had me show up at closing and wait for them to "finish." Part of the wrap on the "fin" of the BMW roof wasn't smoothed down so I had to do it myself with my finger (no pic as it was reactionary). They left white residue on both side mirrors (pic #8 attached) so I had to bring it back to be removed. A week later both the mirrors start peeling on the same spots (Pic #8 attached). After 2 weeks the peeling was so bad I could've grabbed it & started to peel it off if I wanted (no pics). I once again had to have them fix this. c. ER intercooler/ER chargepipe/ER TIC pipe - July 2019 - My car was running perfect prior to the install. The install took 2-3 days, picked up Saturday. I immediately felt it was slower.30-60mins later I get a check engine light (pic #9). Earliest appt. they had was Thurs and I didn't feel safe driving the car. Friday they determined o-ring was the issue, despite admitting "physically it looked fine."when I brought it. Didn't finish until Tuesday evening. Despite my car running perfectly fine before bringing it in &the admission that the o rings looked physically fine & the fact that the check engine light popped up 30-60mins after leaving their shop the first time (i.e. all signs they were liable) they still charged me for parts & labor. They left trash inside (pic #9), black smudges all over the driver side panel (pic #9) Again, there is no attention to detail & just blatant disrespect for another person's vehicle - especially when I'm bringing it back to fix a mistake they made. After what was discovered in my subwoofer/amp installation review, I am currently searching to pay other shops to double check the work that Status has done. read more

Status did a great job on my business van. the team got me set up with a touch screen head unit and some exterior upgrades as well for my transit 250. i have had my personal cars done by status as well and whether you are getting the works (Rims, suspension, tints, etc) or a small commercial van upgrade they gave me the same care and attention. i highly recommend status. read more

I had a lot of confidence in this place from reviews until I started using them. They take your money and could careless if the problem is fixed. I took my car twice for leaky tires. Twice they took it and said it was normal and charged me for no work. I asked them to check all my tires and make sure they're were no leaks. Allegedly they did and apparently they took all day as well as I had to call in 7 hours later when they said yea that car has been ready for a while. THEN WHY NOT CALL ME AND SAY THAT. As far as the tires it looked like they didn't do a lick of work and they were still leaking. They said they reprogrammed the sensors and it was fine. First off I didn't ask for reprogramming I asked for leak check and to take the tires off and check them out. i knew the sensors were fine from the beginning. Secondly it didn't even look like they took the tires off at all. Lastly, I took it to another place in Secaucus and it ended up being my Tpms sensor was loose on the inside and the tire valve was also slightly loose on two tires. They actually took they're time and did their job. They checked all the tires and I'm back on the road and 6 months later from that date I've gone without any issues what so ever. Taking it else where was the best choice I made and I will not go back nor recommend status motoring. These guys either don't care or don't want to care unless your car is worth extraordinary money. I don't mind paying extra couple bucks if the job is done right, but these guys didn't do anything and still wanted money, no thanks they're other places that do exceptional work and charge accordingly. read more

I went to SM for wheels for my 650ix coupe purchased a set of wheels that made the car complete, had problems with the x drive interfearing with the offset of the wheels, we tried everything to make it work.The installer spent hours in 100 degree wheather trying to keep me satisfied,finally i said i would pay for the time and return the wheels,Joel insisted on giving me a full refund, after all that effort i said do u suggest another set of wheels that u are confident would work,He said he had a set that would work for sure,they were not my first choice so he said if i wasnt satisfied he would still take them back and give me a full refund.Long story short the wheels make the car look awesome and as an added benifit the car rides better than it did with the factory wheels!!
