I was a victim of a hit and run in New York and my car was hit badly in front. Ricca had to take care of the bumper and paint my car. I explained to Carl that I am leasing the car and I really really need it back to its original state. I went to about 10 auto body shops in the area to get a quote on fixing my 2016 Tesla Model S bumper trying to find someone I could trust to do the job. Some of them took pictures and my info and either never sent a quote or sent it a week later. Some didn't really want to deal with me because I was paying out of pocket and apparently all they want is insurance jobs which tells you where their head is. A couple said they would possibly fix the car but insisted on taking the bumper off to replace it which I did not want them to do for technical reasons since that would cause me other problems to fix - basically they would not even try to fix the car without taking the bumper off, not sure if for lack of skill or equipment. Carl at Ricca was the only one who looked at my car carefully, listened to exactly what I requested and gave me the most honest answer I had gotten from any other place, he simply said, "I'll try". Based on that fair and honest answer I gave him the job. He gave me an appointment and I brought the car in, long story short, I was not expecting perfection under the guidelines of not removing/replacing the bumper. And not only is Carl a great, down to earth guy but he is truly a craftsman because what he delivered was nothing short of perfection. They literally took the car back in time to the moment before I screwed up the bumper. never take your car here!!! i brought mine there to have some work done after someone ran a stop sign and i hit them. i was quoted $3,000-$3,500 and because they were a certified auto body shop that's what the price would be and the insurance company did not have to send out a claims adjuster. at the time it sounded really good to me. we agreed on using some after market parts. i needed a new hood, front bumper, passenger side fender, and head light. i also needed a new rim because i had to chase the person who ran the stop sign and hit the curb. it took 2 months to get my car back (which is completely ridiculous) and there were several things wrong. 1: the rim was an inch wider then the rest. 2: hood bolts were all loose and the frint looked like it was in a hail storm. 3: my fog lights were all broken and wires ripped out. 4: the clear coat on the bumper ran and dripped and the quality of the bumper was very poor (the rub strips and bottom valance cannot be taken off because they are made to be part of the bumper). 5: the headlight they put in did not match and the lens was attatched with silicone. the work should have taken a week or two tops which includes getting parts. total time for part removal is 1 hr. i took everything apart later on to check work out and it took me 1 hour at most if you want to get ripped off check them out otherwise i highly suggest going somewhere else. they were supposidely friends of my fathers read more
