The french toast was great. We went for brunch and we thought it would've been a more reserved, relaxed and chill environment. The atmosphere was nice the noise level was extremely LOUD!! Our server was pleasant, however they seemed to be understaffed because he didn't really check on us. Our beverages ran out, we finished several plates of food - we had to ask them to remove and give us refills. The restrooms are clean, however, I was rather surprised that with the amount of occupants that you only have two women bathrooms, and two male bathrooms, and there was always a wait. We patronized Station 4 for our daughter's birthday dinner a few nights ago and the ambiance and service at Station 4 was excellent! Our server, Mario was very attentive and friendly during our entire dinner. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. My Wife and I ordered the crab and artichoke dip along with the Station 4 Buffalo wings. The portions were extremely disappointing. We were so disappointed with the portion of the wings that we opted to pack them up to take home. We ordered the Fish and Chips which some of the fish was under cooked, not to mention the strong after taste of beer. Yes, I know they were beer battered fish but I should not taste more beer than fish in each bite. The mosquitos are insane. I could not even enjoy the food because the mosquitos were taking over the whole experience. That really is something you have to hire a professional to help get that under control. Every table was complaining about it. I'm Allergic to the bite so for me it was especially a problem. The food was good but the waiter forgot to bring my eggs out. He said he didn't know I wanted them...It was the very first thing I ordered. For the flying insects alone I would never go back. If I could have removed that automatic 20% tip I would have because it was not deserved. For a party of two an automatic 20 percent gratuity is not cool. read more

Last Sunday, I had RSVP for a table of 6 with the Girlies and a time was had . I had no idea this establishment had live karaoke for brunch. After a few mimosas ... I definitely signed up for Karaoke and had a ball . Food - I ordered the eggs Chesapeake with crab meat . It cleaned my plate , no complaints however keep in mind, I only ordered the eggs Chesapeake because the two previous meals I desired , I could not have prepared to my liking . One meal was a steak and the resturant does not cook their red meat middle rare . I thought that was odd . The second meal, I wasn't allowed eliminate the peppers and onions . I don't like onions or peppers . Service - I'm not sure if our waiter was overwhelmed but he moved at slower pace then others . We had to remind our waiter that we paid for bottomless mimosa . Expectations - keep them coming especially since the establishment did not have mimosa carafes . The ambiance was nice ... no complaints at all . Nice location and open space . I recently dined at Station 4 for karaoke brunch, & had a mixed experience. The vibes were great & everyone came to have a good time! The food was decent for a bottomless brunch, with large portions. The mimosas come in orange, pineapple, and cranberry, but they're heavier on the champagne than the juice (which I prefer). For karaoke, the mics are at the front & you go there to sing. There was also a DJ/host who went around hyping everyone up & it made a fun environment! This would is a vibe for a group of friends that are bored of the standard sit-down and eat brunch. The volume is a bit excessive (we had to yell to hear one another at the table). Positives aside, the service absolutely needs to improve. Our server was very rude and inattentive. As someone who does not eat pork or shellfish, the pork-heavy menu was disappointing. When I asked the server about substituting chicken (also on the menu) instead of sausage, she told me they can take things out but can't add anything. She then "suggested" I pay extra $$ for a deluxe dish that didn't have pork. Upon ordering the brunch burger with modifications, she commented that the kitchen doesn't like substitutions but "[she] will ask." We asked her for another pitcher 20 mins before cut-off time. She waited until the cut-off time to bring the pitcher then told us we couldn't order a "final" one. After telling us she'd have the manager "come over," she later returned with another pitcher. There were other things as well but these two incidents rubbed us the wrong way. read more

It was a great spot for a private event. My friend had his 30th birthday on the enclosed and heated patio. They allowed decoration and a food and drink minimum order. Everyone was able to order everything on the prix fixed food menu, but everything on the regular drink menu. The service was great and ambiance was incredible! I ordered the mini crabcakes which was delicious!! The ribeye was huge, juicy, and delicious. The salmon stuffed crab was pretty good, but I wasn't a fan of the milk over the food, it didn't taste like cream. Next time, id order the ribeye. They had good drinks and great music as well. I came for Happy Hour on a Wednesday night, seat for 1 please. When I walked in, the manager was sitting at the table by the door on his cell phone. A person in need walked past him to beg us at the bar for money. He didn't even notice and the bartender couldn't get his attention. He had to ask the person to leave the establishment. Once I sat down, the first thing I noticed was the bar countertop was sticky. Gross! I had to request a wipe down. From that initial experience, I was not expecting to receive the menu and see fast food at a $$ price point. I ordered the $10 shrimp tacos and the tortilla was stuffed with pico de gallo and grilled shrimp that's it. The guacamole was fine but again nothing to rave about. Sorry folks but I have to go low... Management needs to do some serious training of waitstaff. Considering the price point of this restaurant, you would expect some graciousness and class but our server (Mohammed K) was not even close. Somewhat of an attitude and giving the feeling he'd rather be somewhere else. No real 'service' beyond taking our food order but then he added a 20% tip even though the menu clearly states that they will only add 20% tip to parties over five people or a bill of $350. That's annoying! Food wise - the taste is fine but it's pretty standard food. And for entrées that are costing around $30-$45, you really do expect something a bit better. In short, pretty low value for money, ambience that is 'meh', tasty food but not worth the price, and, on the night we went, pretty awful table service. You can give this place a pass. There are so many other options that are nearby. read more

Hubby n I celebrated our 13th anniversary at Station 4 tonight. The food was amazing! I had the lobster n shrimp linguine; the sauce was a little thin but the flavor was delicious! Husband had the crab stuffed salmon with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were extra creamy. The food came out fast n hot! Our waiter was super nice and courteous. We were offered a special dinner rate because we had tickets to Arena Stage. It was Super Bowl Sunday, so the crowd was loudly engaged with the game. Other than what appeared to be other people who were headed for the Theatre, it was pretty empty on this Sunday evening. I had the mahi mahi tacos, fish and chips, and a glass of white wine. I wanted to have dinner somewhere close by to the Arena Stage, where I was going to see a show... And Station 4 was a perfect 4 mins walk away! But, the short walk might have been just about the only thing I appreciated from this experience. From the minute I walked into the restaurant, the hostess was really unfriendly, and spent the entire time on her cellphone. Our waiter was really nice, but also very overwhelmed covering several large tables with little help. The food was okay. Nothing really stood out to me, and for the price point, I expected much much better. The leather seats my cousin and I were seated at was torn, and that took from what would have otherwise been a pretty venue. If there was an option for 1/2 stars, I would have given this 2.5... Just a heads up, Station 4 at Waterfront DC overcharges and if you're not tryna break the bank, I don't recommend. If you attend for an event, they will charge you gratuity and not give you a heads up that they're going to do it until the bill comes. The menu says they only charge gratuity for parties over 5 or if you bill is over $300 but that's clearly not true. Not to mention they don't even have AC and you WILL feel like you're melting Will not be returning I got one appetizer, one alcoholic drink, and a Caesar salad with chicken. Including their *surprise* gratuity and tax, I paid $86. The food was cool but definitely not worth that price and I know for a fact I could've gotten it much cheaper anywhere else in DC. This review is only for Sunday Brunch. I've been going to Station 4 for years but I've never been on a Sunday for brunch. I was there with a large group of friends. I was definitely pleasantly surprised that they host a Karaoke because who doesnt love Karaoke? :) Our group was quickly seated (we had reservations) in the restaurant area, not the bar area, so we were definitely in the karaoke mix. I will say this.... It was extremely LOUD, like unbearably loud to the point where I didn't hear our waiter OR even anyone that tried to have a conversation with me. The 2 guys hosting karaoke were at times screaming in the microphone. You don't need to scream into a microphone... we hear you. lol The DJ had the music turned all the way up to the point that I didn't think my poor eardrums were going to make it. A couple of people at our table had their earbuds in just to help muffle the sound. The food and drinks are always good at Station 4. I had the poached eggs with crabmeat which was great. However, the loudness of karaoke is the only reason why I had to give it 3 stars. read more

Brunch at @station4dc. I went for restaurant week on Saturday. We made reservations & got seated immediately. I got started w/ the Caesar salad no croutons. Steak & Eggs as the entree. I got the steak cooked MR and the eggs over-easy. & finished w/ the gelato/sorbet duo I believe it was salted caramel and coconut. Oh I also forgot to mention we added BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS! Everything was delicious from start to finish. The home fries were so crispy and perfect in every sense. The steak and eggs were AMAZING! The fish and chips for me wasn't all the way cooked. My sister enjoyed her lamb chops. There's a bar section that stays open much later if you want drinks. The kitchen closes early. Came back here. Same issue as my last review - the restaurant doesn't seem to have a hostess so you have to find someone to seat you (if you can seat yourself, it wasn't obvious to us). The food also seemed to decline. i had the saltiest omelet that seemed to be over-salted. The food is way overpriced for that quality. read more
