Seriously two times I ordered 12 oz drinks and two times got 16 oz. Great way to make money and lose customers. I won't return.

Everyone here is working really hard and they are doing a great job to please the FIVE THOUSAND people in here at 10 am. But starbucks really screwed the pooch with this location. This is a hub for travelers between San Diego and Phoenix. THIS LOCATION SHOULD NOT HAVE MOBILE ORDERING! Way too many people come through this location to be doing mobile orders. The staff was great though! But I could see them all slowly losing their minds as white women in yoga pants complained about their orders not being out quick enough. As someone who visits Starbucks A LOT, this is definitely my least favorite local Starbucks, and probably my least favorite I've visited. The drive-thru always takes FOREVER...I've waited upwards of 30 minutes with only three cars in front of me. Don't get my started on the inside - they obviously serve drive thru first, meaning even if only one other person is in line, you still have to wait forever. I even went once at 5:30 am and it wasn't open. Even living in the foothills I would prefer to drive to the pacific Starbucks. read more

It was busy which obviously I wasn't upset about, however I got there in time or what I would believe to have been in time enough to get my drink orders and get to my meeting. I had 3 drink orders 2 venti iced chai lattes and 1 venti ice caramel macchiato with soy milk. The chai lattes came out within 5 mins. I waited over 25 mins for my last drink... also ended up just walking out WITHOUT it. Because I was late and didn't have time to remind them about it when I stood right in front with a drink holder and two drinks the whole time. They must have just thought I like to linger around Starbucks alone with two drinks. I'm not trying to be a "Karen" I just really don't know how everyone after me can be getting served when my order wasn't completed. Kinda bummed I was looking forward to that coffee. I work nights and desperately needed it. Oh well. The other peoples drinks I got were good and they enjoyed them. Today we came in like many other days. The barista took our order and after waiting informed us they were out of what my daughter ordered. She apologized and then asked what she could make instead and replaced our drink. She easily could have stopped there. However, she brought over a "next drink on us card" and again apologized. Then the barista behind the counter made us a drink, somewhat, similar to what my daughter had originally ordered for us to taste. Neither of the baristas has to go above and beyond, they could have replaced the drink and charged us the difference but their exceptional customer service made all the difference. Piss poor service. The place isn't even busy things seem to take forever here. Might be the single worst Starbucks I've ever been to. 51 degrees outside so we sat inside to have our breakfast sandwich and coffee only to be greeted by the air conditioning coming on. This location had a very gross bathroom. I got my drink and had to use the restroom, when I went in the one bathroom (the other was broken) I saw pubic hairs and hair spread around, a tampon was on the floor and no toilet paper or covers. The tables in the dining area had drinks, napkins, and food on every single one. Great coffee, poor cleaning. read more

The drinks are great. So is the food. I recommend coming here and just getting some assignments or just work done, it's extremely quiet and a relaxed environment. If your thinking about getting a Frappuccino I recommend the ultra Carmel or just caramel Frappuccino and for food I recommend the chocolate dipped Madelines or the chocolate croissant. read more

Great service. I have been to this starbucks a few times now as I travel to and from California quite often and I have never had a bad experience here. I always go inside to place my order and usually receive it under 5 minutes. It looks like the reviews on here are either 1 star or 5 star.. starbucks "regulars" are tough to please I guess. They REFUSED to make the coffee and they are still open for the next 45 minutes now. As a regular Starbucks patron, this store is the WORST I have ever visited. We stopped by on our way to California and had to wait 10 mins while the drive thru serviced 3 cars. We finally made it to the intercom and tried to place our order. Turning off our truck to be heard, I can understand. Repeating my order 3 times after, I don't. We had to wait another 10 mins to crawl to the window and pay, which included more waiting. Happy day we received our drinks! Then my daughter said, "Mom this smells funny." I look at her order sticker and it does not say soy. The girl hands my caramel macchiato to me and the same thing: no soy. I tell her these were to be made with soy and she looks confused. Why? Because she doesn't understand why we want soy. The drinks are good the way they are; soy will alter them. After a couple of times of reiterating soy because I don't want to gas out the State of California and make my leather seats curl, we finally get corrected drinks. Hallelujah! Note: this was a serious one off experience in dealing with the Starbucks chain and hopefully there will be new people the next time we don't stop there. read more

This Starbucks could use some better management. There is rarely anyone working the register to take in store orders. Yesterday there was a long line at the counter because the person assigned to work the register was busy filling food orders. The drive up window is definitely given priority over those who chose to come inside. This seems to be happening all the time. Doesn't Starbucks understand they are not the only place in town? At this rate they are attracting customers because of their name but if this lack of customer service continues, that name will end up in the toilet. read more

Imagine the first pin set on a 300 role. Your 200 pound mastiff is the ball and the 5 patio tables, chairs and patrons are the pins. One of the pins has a barky maltese. Suddenly all hell breaks loose. The mastiff just wants to introduce himself but in the process knocks down every stick of furniture and patron trying to enjoy the morning. The staff was great. Everyone got their drinks replaced, tables and chairs righted and Goliath provided with a water bowl. The maltese and her elderly owner made a timely exit. Thank god no one broke a hip! My last three times coming here my drink has been messed up, and today I just wasn't going to make the drive back to have it remade. I used to work at Starbucks so I understand it gets very busy (especially here during this season) and mistakes happen, but they shouldn't happen as frequently as it does at this location. Foothills drive-thru is awesome. Quick service and always friendly. This local is always busy all times of the day. Just wish my favorite drink didn't cost close to six dollars. 1PM on Sunday, no lunch food. It's not the young lady's fault that they can't seem to keep food in their store. Maybe they don't sell it fast enough? They need to take the food items off the menu if they aren't going to carry them. They made my drink perfectly and the young lady who served me was very polite and professional. Never really had any trouble here. Always good coffee and drinks. They do tend to get busy, especially during the silly season. Winter visitors don't take offense to that last comment, you know we love having y'all here, and no, I'm not a native, but we've been here permanently for around 4-5 years now. I do know the delivery drivers that stock this place and they try their best to keep the store full and they do work very hard at it. read more

Got my cold brews about a week ago, through my app (so I wouldn't be trapped for 20 minutes in the drive through again), one vanilla, one holiday spice. Both were spiced. I cannot express how consistently disappointed I am with this particular location. I have about two good experiences in numerous times I've been here. This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. We were a party of 4 and they completely screwed up our order. Not only that, it took forever to even get our drinks even though there were only 2 other people in the store. I ordered a passion unsweetened tea and they gave me a strawberry green tea. My friend's daughter ordered a hot chocolate which took about 30 minutes to receive. Then it took about 25 minutes for my friend and her husband to get their teas which were made wrong. Never once did the girls working there apologize for the messed up order or for the long time it took to receive our drinks. They weren't even friendly either. No thanks! 113 out, super windy, I pull in here on a trip back to San Diego from Tucson on a Sunday around 11:30 am. Bathroom is a mess, trash on the floor, grimy, icky. Ok, fine, it's right off the freeway, perhaps they had a big morning rush. I let it go. Then, I stand in line behind two people for almost 10 minutes. Really?! The guy running the register is clueless, the other staff are too busy chit chatting about their previous evening's booty calls (Yes, you could hear what they were talking about) to help him. Finally, it's my turn, yay! "I'll take a huge iced black tea, no sweetener, this yogurt and a chicken sandwich." He takes a couple minutes to try and punch it in to the register, no eye contact or greeting from him to me. "We don't have food on Sundays we don't get our load." Could they have put up a sign? Maybe on the front door or at a minimum on the food case?! At this point, I'm at 30 minutes in to what was supposed to be a quick restroom stop, grab some food and get back on the road. I reply "Alright, a sign would have been really helpful." He blinks at me a few times and says "Do you still want the tea?". Another 5 minutes to get my tea and I'm on my way. Big fail at this location. I won't be back. read more
