At La Michoacána Plus, I tried the pineapple agua fresca, and it was unfortunately much sweeter than I expected. Instead of being light and refreshing, it felt heavy and overly sugary. I'd love to try some of their other offerings since they have a big menu, but I'm a bit cautious about the sugar content now. If you prefer your agua fresca less sweet, it might be worth asking if they have options with less sugar, but the variety of flavors could still make a visit worthwhile. read more

This is a Mexican ice cream shop in Yuma. It carries regular ice cream from tubs for cones and dishes at excellent prices. It also has a huge selection of ice cream treats, like you would buy from the pushcart vendors. The shop is painted in colors you would expect to see in Mexico. Very vibrant room. We purchased four single scoops, and it was $16. I paid twice that much for ice cream last week at Moo creamery. The people were very nice and the service was good. La Michoacana is popping up all over California so I am familiar with the company, but this was the first LM Plus that I have ever encountered! Upon entering it is a corneal assault of pinks and greens everywhere. The lines were not long, but the menu was quite extensive. On my first time through the line I had a watermelon popsicle. It was the water kind, but the bottom white piece is ice cream. I wish I had known that before trying it. My second time through I got one of the Monster Energy drink paletas. It tasted just like a frozen can of Monster (delicious!). I did try the lime mangonada that someone in my group ordered and it was top notch on its own. Will I be back? Yep, everytime I am in town. My only complaint is that prices and item descriptions are not easy to read. The monitors with bright colors are nice BUT they move too quickly. I paid more than I expected.. I saw some lady complaining about the price but I don't think she realIzes the small details put into the shop. It's absolutely stunning for Instagram and just pleasing to be at. It's very clean and the customer service is excellent. My bf and I tried a handful of different ice creams and she was patient and smiled through us ordering. You literally start with around 6-8 sorbets ranging from mango,chamoy, pineapple, strawberry etc to more indulgent flavor ice creams, ferro rochet, abuelitas chocolate, cheesecake, cajeto and more. We ended up sharing a Cajeta Churro Sundae with Queso Ice Cream. You can taste the freshness and real flavor in their product. The Churros are large, you get three in the Sundae and it's topped with a Mexican style caramel for around $7.00! Sure you could go to Dairy Queen and get something cheaper but it's never clean there, the atmosphere isn't updated and the quality is low along with mediocre customer service. Most of all it's not independent. SUPPORT LOCAL good food. That's what this place is. We will be back to have more ice cream soon. read more

The first time i went the service was great;although, it was slow. The second time, not so much. The music was too loud so the worker couldnt hear me. She gave me the wrong order, i told her to please give me the correct item she did and was very nice about it. I asked for frozen strawberries and cream. The first time i went they gave them to me in a plastic cup. The second time they gave it to me in the cardboard box, as you can imagine it was very flimsy and the strawberry juice was EVERYWHERE. I ordered agua fresca and the ice melted by the time i got my complete order. The service seems very inconsistent and was very frustrating.
