All I can say is "wow"! This was well worth the find, on our way out of Yuma. It seemed like everywhere we went, they had billboard's strategically placed to grab your attention. After winding up our day, we decided to go for some ice cream. This small place has very welcoming decor for the entire family. They have a good selection of ice cream but also offer specialties like sundae's and shakes. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in choosing our flavors. We all went with different flavors. My favorites were their Biscoff but especially the Oreo one (the best I've ever had). I highly recommend this place as it is reasonably priced as well. Diving back to Phoenix I had seen the highway billboard sign several times but was always in a hurry. Checked the reviews in Yelp. This time it was 108° and we were getting tired so we made sure to stop. The shop is set up nice, bright colors, ice cream themed, clean inside. Greeted when we came in. The menu and prices are clearly displayed. They seemed reasonable for homemade ice cream and after tasting it we were very happy. We ordered 2 scoops in a waffle cone and Monkey Butter sundae special. Both were delicious, the shop was well air conditioned and comfortable. The staff friendly and restroom clean. Learning that they all are homemade it was no wonder it was really yummy and creamy. The ambiance is nice and open with tables to sit. The playful colors and ice cream characters on the wall and colors were really nice to see in an ice cream parlor. The prices are decent but the taxes here whew at a whooping 10.413% is definitely on the upper end. My favorite for the day was the blueberry cheesecake. So rich of flavor and really creamy. I paired that with the biscoff cookie ice cream. One interesting flavor I tried was as their carrot cake ice cream, it had fresh grated carrots and tasted exactly like carrot cake but in ice cream form. I'll definitely be back. Unfortunately this place is getting super expensive and making their sizes smaller. While the cup size for a two scoop is still sizable, we have been twice this winter and they did not fill it up for the almost $10 price tag. My son had earned it as a reward and was excited and super disappointed with the small amount he received. While in Yuma visiting family, we discovered Mooos Creamery thanks to a well placed billboard off the freeway. Mooos was just a short drive away in an unassuming shopping center. When you enter, it has the familiar feel of an ice cream shop. Food They have a lot of good flavors to choose from, so it was a difficult choice. I ended up going with Latte Love and Blueberry Cheesecake. Both were very good and went surprisingly well together. The ice cream was very creamy and packed with toppings. 5/5 Service There was quite the crowd inside, but the staff was fast and efficient, so there was little wait. They also indulged us in trying several samples to help us make our decision. 5/5 Ambiance As I said, Mooos had the typical feel of an ice cream shop. Nothing really to make it stand out over the rest of the crowd. It was clean, which is as important as anything. 4/5 Yuma seems to be full of hidden gems. We road trip the I-8 from Tucson to San Diego several times a year, and Yuma is a regular gas/food stop. Saw th billboard on the 8 and decided to stop and get some ice cream. Mooos ice cream is hands down some of the best ice cream I've ever tasted. It's now a regular stop in Yuma. Gas, snacks, Mooos ice cream. Tucked away in an unassuming strip center, the interior is bright, cheery and has a retro funky carnival vibe. The containers vary from cups to chocolate dipped waffles cones with Jimmie's. The ice cream is to die for. We've chatted with the owner. One stop we sampled the Dutch apple pie. He said his wife bakes the apple pies from scratch, them they break up the pie to add it to the ice cream. That is awesome! Moos is Awesome! read more

Of course we had to find out if that was true. We found out that one of the owner's makes the ice cream from scratch and the other owner works the service part. We had the triple mint, s'mores and chocolate. The mint was really good. Tasted like there were crushed up mint cookies in it. The s'mores had marshmallows and bits of graham crackers. Both were very good. The chocolate was alright but could've used a bit more chocolate 'punch' to it. It's located about 5 minutes from the freeway. Worth the stop if you got the craving for real ice cream. read more
