I usually stop at this Dutch Bros about once a month on my way to Texas. The service has always been just decent, never great, but today it was worse than usual. I ordered at the drive up window, as I always do at Dutch Bros. It took quite a while for them to bring my drink while I stood outside in the Arizona heat with no cover. When my drink finally came, it had only a few boba pearls, even though I had ordered it with boba. I politely mentioned that my drink barely had any. The employee, whose name started with a V (I believe it was Viridiana), loudly yelled back that we were "complaining about the boba." Instead of simply explaining that they had run out, she took the drink back with an attitude and scraped boba from the container in a rude manner. A simple "we're out of boba" would have been fine, but the way she handled the situation came off as dismissive and unprofessional. Very disappointing, especially for a place I frequent. Finally; Yuma has been recognized by "The Coffee Suits!" They have spoken!! My experience with DB is special in that it was a delish send off from Phoenix; those extra expresso-shot filled concoctions kept me awake the duration of the 3 hour trip back to Yuma. Now, DB has come home. And Yuma is all the better for it! Conviently located off the highway near a busy intersection; with a 2 lane drive thru. They even have "Puppicino" servings for dogs (ours loved them). The servers seem to get the orders wrong sometimes but they hastily fix the problem (New store, I get it). I had to give this coffee a try after hearing so many people rave about it. It's pretty good! So far I've had a white chocolate lavender cold brew and the cocomo Dutch freeze coffees and also a mango smoothie. I enjoyed the coffee drinks but the cold brew one is my favorite so far. It isn't too sweet and the foam is so good. I think both of the other drinks are too sweet, and honestly the smoothie was not anything to write home about at all. Poor slow slow service. Three cars behind me got their drinks while we still waited in line to get our order. Told the girl and she went inside and didn't come back for another 5 minutes after handing out the other drinks to the cars behind. You will probably laugh but I drive to an a half hours just to go here as my kids and I are addicted. We've always had a great service despite the fact that there's so many trainees. We've only had one bad experience because an employee decided to skip me to go to the car next to me since it was his friends I did say something & he tried to apologize, I let him know that he should be fair and can't be skipping people because he wants to rush and take his friends orders & not only that but sits there and chitchats with them. I usually order an Horchata Chai, and the flavor use to be good but lately it's been getting worse, today I got a little bit of Chai with a lot of milk, and that was it, no white chocolate, no cinnamon, no caramel. Its good coffee, I love it but their drive thru system needs a lot of work. I try to leave for work a half hour early to stop for coffee and gas. I sit here waiting to place an order for over 25 minutes and thats not including time taken to make the coffee. They need to open their window up. Or something idk. Im going to stop coming before work because I almost ran late 3 times because they take SO LONG. Its so frustrating. Its also annoying that they take your order away from the screens with menus. If its someone's first time, they won't know what they want and that also holds up the line. So today ill definitely be kate to work because lines are BARELY moving.
