I don't normally make reviews but this is the 5th time I've had this experience. Multiple times I have stopped by to get a drink and the doors were locked 15 sometimes 30 minutes before closing time. I've even seen some employees watch me try to open the door when it's well before 8. I just went to Hawaiian BBQ instead and left it at that. But it happened again, this time the open sign was still on but the doors were locked. I think this is super unprofessional and discouraging for customers to come back. read more

Boba in Yuma?? Yeah believe it. A friend of mine kiddingly wanted it, and upon a quick Yelp search, we ended up here. This seems to be only one of 3 boba places in all of Yuma. Just a typical small, minimalist shop with a few tables. The boba craze definitely isn't rampant here in Yuma, but at least the product is decent. The location is around a plaza/mall near shops, right by a movie theater and Buffalo Wild Wings. Prices were average ($4-$4.50). I wasn't used to my lychee drink being so dark, which made me wonder if I had the correct drink or not. It ended up being correct, and it was good. It doesn't include actual lychee fruit, though (in case you're wondering). I tried the remainder of my girlfriend's avocado drink with condensed milk, and that was even more delicious than mine. But then again, who can mess that up? Parking: modest amount by the shops, plenty by the nearby Target. FYI: - No restrooms. Go to neighboring businesses to use theirs. - I'm not sure if regular boba costs extra or not. I myself didn't check my own receipt since I didn't care at the time. Initial impression: Fun energetic vibe as you walk in. Everyone is always smiling. Staff is friendly. Love the music. They have board games .... fun... I love that you can post a post it note on the wall... Pros: They give you samples to try if its your first time. Don't be shy & ask away. The girls are super nice & high spirited. Don't waste your money here. Very small little shop, waited in line and after placing my order I sat down to wait over 20 mins and got up to tell the cashier and she asked for my receipt, that she never gave me. I told her I didn't have one and what my order was and even proceeded to show her my bank statement and she told me that without a receipt there was nothing she could do. Won't ever be back again. Love the boba options! Best place in town hands down. Their is just something about their tapioca pearls that are just unique to this location and I love it!! And I can see why the Golden Milk Tea is the most popular! Such a master piece! I never have to adjust the sweetness except with the honeydew , but it's great that they have that option Customer service is what knocks it down a point. It's always 50/50. Some days I have great conversations with the girls, and other days they act snobby- or perhaps they just don't want to be there. I work in customer service as well and I'm very anal about how I'm treated. A standard "hello" is a start but even that is pretty weak. Hope that improves! read more

This is my new go to place for a delicious, refreshing, drink after a movie. I like that there are tables to sit at, and they have games that you can borrow...so cool. We've gone several times since they opened, and it's been lovely every time. ~~ The Drinks ~~ = They have regular tea, milk tea, coffee, and smoothies--plus mix-ins (boba, jelly, etc.) for an additional cost. I am picky about my tea (I usually buy expensive loose-leaf tea), and the stuff here is very good (it doesn't taste like the "tea" that comes out of the fountain drink machines at fast food places). I like their boba pearls better than the ones at Hawaiian BBQ--these have a great soft-yet-chewy texture and taste like they've been marinated in honey. = If you're not sure you'll like something, you can get a free sample of the mix-ins and most of the drinks (except for smoothies and coffee, last I asked). By the register, there are little containers of the tea leaves they use, so you can sniff those too if you want. You can also ask for your drink to be made less sweet than the default. (I would say the default sweetness level is similar to most Starbucks items, or maybe a bit lower.) I have gone several times during my time here in Yuma while visiting family & have tried several different drinks- a different one each time. It has definitely become one of my favorite places, wish I could take it with me back home! It's in a very convenient area- right across Buffalo Wild Wings & next to the movie theater in Yuma Palms. I have tried many bubble teas in my life and I can honestly say this place has satisfied my bubble tea cravings. The only small issue I have is that it's quite small inside, when it gets busy it gets crowded, but that obviously not the business's fault- just thought I should add that as a heads up. I was super excited to try Boba tea here because I wasn't impressed with Hawaiian BBQ's Boba tea (located next door), unfortunately I have to say Honey Leaf Boba's was expotentially worse. I took a friend here to try Boba, her first time, and she was very disappointed. I was pretty embarrassed too and told her this is not what real, good Boba tea is supposed to taste like. We both ordered 50% sweet Honey Green Milk tea. It tasted like watery milk, no green tea or honey flavor to speak of. The boba pearls had a harsh chemical tang to them, almost as if they were soaked in chlorine tap water. As I finished the drink, the pearls tainted the tea with that chlorine flavor. I didn't end up finishing it. Maybe I'll try another flavor in a couple months when this place has time to settle. read more
