Never been inside this location and have always used the drive through. The person taking my order always been courteous and the line moves fast no matter how many cars are in it. I went in on a Tuesday night around 9pm because I was craving the pink drink. My barista, Mackenzie, was very friendly and quick to her feet. Although she was helping another customer in the drive thru line, she came over quickly to take my order and make my drink. I am picky with how my drinks are made and a lot of times the baristas forget to follow my instructions but Mackenzie did not disappoint. Thank you for your amazing customer service! My order was delayed for 15 minutes. I follow up to them and asked what happened how come my order is still not ready. They're respond, its busy. Yeah, I get it its busy and there's a lot of orders coming in. But 15 minutes is wayyy TOO MUCH. They double check my order and found out that they forgot to print out the label. So they asked what was my order again and will be available soon. They didn't even apologize for what happened! I've wasted a lot of time waiting for my single order. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED! read more

This Starbucks has definitely made it to one of the best Starbucks I've been to. Their employees and ultra friendly and always go beyond just taking your order to asking how are you depending on the crowd of course. They are prompt to fulfill your order and do a very good job, even with crazy orders due to allergies. There was one time that they messed up my order by forgetting the almond milk and they were extremely apologetic and remade my order, they also included a drink voucher for making me wait. Now that is true customer service that I've never seen at any Starbucks. I will drive the extra mile to come here over any other Starbucks nearby. read more

I usually love coming to the Starbucks because it's great for studying and all the employees are usually very nice and professional. I went into the drive thru lane today as I getting a granita just before work. The women in front of me ordered 6 drinks which I think would normally be feasible for such a large corporate chain. However, they seemed to keep getting her order wrong, taking back all the drinks to make sure they didn't duplicate any orders. I waited in the drive thru line for TWENTY MINUTES. IN that time, I don't understand why they couldn't have had her park and serve the rest of us patiently waiting and now late for our next destinations. When I finally pulled up to the window, I was expecting the barista to apologize to me for the long wait. All she said was "thanks for waiting that'll be 3.95" as if that whole waiting event didn't just happen. Really?! I can always count on this Starbucks to NEVER get my order right.. and when it's the right drink, it doesn't taste right.. so pretty much the same thing. Located in the worst intersection ever bc if you're coming from azusa towards grand on valley, you can't make a u-turn to get into the plaza so you have to turn onto lemon first then make a u-turn and you're finally there.. no bueno when you really need caffeine Employees are not the friendliest bunch. So this is my go-to Starbucks location because it is so close to my workplace and I can grab a quick drink on my lunch break. All the employees here are nice with the exception of one particular rude and obnoxious employee. Every time I give this person my order in the drive thru she is laughing and not paying attention and usually gets my order wrong. It happens so consistently with this person that I can actually tell in the drive thru when I am dealing with her. When I hear her say "welcome to Starbucks what do you want? (Snicker laugh snicker)" I know it's her. She never asks how are you doing which the other employees always ask. She usually doesn't work the drive through window and up until this point I have not really cared but I just experienced something that the management should address. I saw this employee take the lid off my drink stick her finger inside it and then close the lid. She closed the drive thru window before doing this but I could clearly see her through it. The she opened the window and handed me my drink like nothing was wrong. I was so shocked I just drove off with it, didn't know how to react in the moment. Oh yea, and of course the drink order label had the wrong order printed on it so she didn't do that right either. SO GROSS!!! What kind of weirdo sociopath is working there! read more

This Starbucks has a lot of issues. Only thing I am happy about is google wifi. I love that. But everything else is far below my expectation. First of all, I am sure that they are messing up with the audio system. I stayed there for 2 hours but all I heard was hop, techno and other upbeat loud musics which I never heard at any other Starbucks locations. And the volume was loud too. So was sitting under the speaker. I felt sick after staying 20 minutes. And their AC is blown so hard that you can feel the cold wind at the table. This not only my subjective impression, but also other people felt the AC and changed their seats. All employees are talking loud to each other. It is okay to talk each other but their are loud enough so customers actually look at them and give looks. I don't think that is a good sign. And at one point I am sure some of the employees used F words I their conversation. Sure they can talk like that behind the wall but not in front of customers. With all of these things, I give a sold ONE star to this Starbucks. This is a clear sign of management failure. Staffs can be damn and stupid but the manager has to pay attention what is going on. read more

The best Starbucks in the area in terms of quality. I'm sure that all Starbucks uses the same ingredients but I feel like the employees who work here put more care into making the drinks (or maybe it was because I was the only one ordering at that time). I stopped by here after mailing something and going to BOA (which is conveniently kinda across the street from here) and I ordered the Gingerbread Latte, which is delicious btw and Starbucks should put it on their permanent menu. I was watching the barista make my drink and drizzle the molasses on top of the whipped cream and he did it soooo meticulously even though it would just be covered by the white cup lid. I'm sure if he didn't cap it on right after he drizzled it, I would have taken a picture and Instagrammed that cup of coffee, but too bad. I took a sip of my drink and it was perfect. read more

I placed a mobile phone order for a drink and it stated prep time would be between 3-7 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes after the order was placed and the drink was still not ready. I waited another 5-10 minutes and then finally asked the barista. He couldn't find my order. He asked what I had ordered and I told him it was a caramel frap with extra caramel. The frap I received you could barely tell it was caramel. Not only did it not have extra caramel, it didn't even have the amount of caramel a normal one comes with. Very disappointed. read more

More often than not, they get big orders at drive thru wrong. And by big, I mean 4-5 drinks. Went through the drive thru at night and ordered 5 drinks, they handed us everything and once we got home we noticed 2 drinks were wrong: they were smaller and definitely not what we ordered. Later on, we realized that the stickers on the 2 wrong cups said "(number) of 4" instead of "(number) of 5" meaning the wrong drinks were probably meant for a different order. What's the point of drive thru being fast and convenient if we get the wrong orders? It just comes across as very irresponsible; the barista just handed out the drinks without double checking the order, or even just checking the stickers. I guess it's also our fault for not triple checking ‍ Anyway, I've ordered several drinks through the mobile app and it's been pleasant. The baristas I've encountered are friendly and nice, it's just they sometimes can't handle bigger orders. read more

It's a busy location, so if you're planning to "chill" there a while with a laptop, plan on potentially waiting a bit for a spot to sit down. It's worth the extra few minutes to keep driving until you get to the Starbucks on Valley and Grand. My experience today with this Starbucks was mediocre. I walk in and no one acknowledges my existence. Maybe that's too much to ask, but you have one other customer and 4 employees and I couldn't get a "Hi, are you here for a mobile order?"... As I'm waiting, I see Tristan making my drink. He's acting frazzled with my drink in his hand saying how he could do better with less orders. I'm pretty sure the woman next to me heard just by how loud he was being. His attitude is like his job is bothering him. May I remind you, there were only 2 customers in the store and not even a long drive through line. He takes my drink and puts it to the side where I can't see it and continues to make other drinks, talking very loudly and acting very frazzled and rude. Ten minutes goes by and my work break is almost over. A nice barista comes up and finally asks if I'm here for a mobile order. I tell her my name and she grabs the drink. As far as I know, Starbucks leaves the drink in the mobile order/pick-up area for customers to grab. My "caramel drizzle" was sitting at the bottom of my cup about as thick as a fingernail. My ice was already melting. I might sound like a snobby customer, but seriously is it too much to ask for good customer service? I'll keep my business with the Starbucks on Grand that gets the orders in and out neatly, friendly, and with sometimes only 2 employees. read more

The worst experience I've had at a Starbucks. I ordered a Blueberry Oatmeal in the drive thru and when I got home, I immediately had to throw it away. The blueberries were MOLDY. New Starbucks located in Walnut with a quick moving drive-through and clean interior. Plenty of seats inside with both shared communal table, couch seating and two seats at the bar. Everytime I've been though, this location has been super crowded- looks like full of high school and Mt. Sac students. Good thing is Ten Ren's is next door so there are alternatives close by. I usually enjoy Starbucks. This particular location however has a drive through that can be tricky to get into without having a stand off of who has the right to their spot in line since there are two driveway entrances that cause problems. Also, the drive through is hit or miss on who is serving you. I have had the fortunate experience of having extremely nice servers and the unfortunate experience of having a server who acted like she was annoyed she had to help me. And today my husband went and picked up drinks from this location. I got a cloud macchiato and was three quarters of the way done with it when something nasty got into my mouth. I spit it out on the top of the cup. No idea what it is....chewed up food? Something off the floor?? Whatever it is, I can not finish my drink now cause I feel a bit sick at the thought of what it might be. I don't think I will be ordering drinks from here again. read more

I have been going to various Starbucks locations since the late 1990s and I can tell you with certainty that this Starbucks is the friendliest location I have been to. My boyfriend and I will actually go out of our way sometimes to go to this location over one on the way to a destination. LouLou and McKenzie and Brian are so nice. I love that they are also very efficient and if any of the baristas make a mistake, they fix a new drink with no questions asked. My boyfriend's drink is complicated with his half cafe this and that and they have it down. We love this place and I usually hate chains! read more

This is a really nice one that opened up with a drive thru and there is some seating inside. There is also patio seating facing Valley so you can meet up outside on a nice day too. The new one on gale is bigger for studying. It was quick in the morning when I went for drinks and the workers seem to know what they were doing so I'm glad it finally opened! read more

Went through the drive-thru this morning and didn't realize until I had driven 5 minutes away that they got my drink order wrong. I asked for soy and got non-fat, rendering my drink garbage because I am lactose intolerant. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of time to drive back and walk back into the store to have them correct their mistake (I mean, come on, that would make going through the drive-thru totally pointless, right?) Especially since the drive-thru wait is usually 10 minutes in my experience at this location. This is the 2nd time in a couple weeks this has happened to me at a Starbucks drive-thru. The new one on Gale also got my drink order wrong. The barista must've been confused because I asked to pay for the drink for the car behind me. I had to drive back and park, walk inside, and wait a few minutes just for them to add a shot in my drink. Sigh. I know these 2 locations just opened but being a former Starbucks store manager, I know there are seasoned employees also opening these new stores. I guess one could say I could've checked before I drove off. But, really, my drink wasn't very complicated. I also know the importance of repeating the order back to the customer to ensure they got the right order. One star penalty for the mess up. Half star bonus for being fairly pleasant (but honestly the service wasn't stellar). Guess I'll have to resort to getting my Starbucks the old fashioned way, walking my ass into the store. Lol. Customer service is great, people are friendly and Selina goes out of her way to make you feel like an appreciated and valued customer.
