Pretty disappointing customer service. The employee who took my order didn't greet me at all when he approached my car and seemed completely uninterested in the interaction. I told him I had a mobile order, he asked if I needed anything else, stared at his screen for a while, and then just walked away. No greeting when he approached and no "thank you," "have a good day," or acknowledgment when he left. I didn't even try this location right away because I had already been to another Dutch Bros about twenty minutes away and figured it would be the same experience. And it was. The first time around, I ordered four different drinks from four different categories just to really give it a fair shot. Every single one had the same problem. Way too sweet. Like distractingly sweet. It honestly ruins the whole idea of enjoying a coffee or a refresher when all you can taste is sugar. I tried again at the Covina location hoping maybe it would be different, but nope, same issue. The staff is genuinely very nice and I don't blame them personally, but even after specifically asking for less sweetness, including ordering drinks at forty percent sweet, it still tastes like diabetes in a cup. The lemonade in particular was just ridiculous. At that point, I'm basically taking the drink home and diluting it myself, which isn't what I paid for. I want to enjoy the drink as it's made, not fix it later. I know people love Dutch Bros and I really wanted to be one of those people, but I just don't get the hype. I don't understand why everything has to be that sweet, and no matter how many times I try different drinks, it just doesn't hit for me the way it does for everyone else. There's also a walk-up window. I stopped here during the morning hours so it was not busy yet. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Their menu consists of 'Protein and Classic Coffee, Shakes, Smoothies, Chai, Matcha, Lemonade, Energy Drinks, and limited snack options like Granola Bars and Muffin Tops'. Recently, my wife and I tried Dutch Bros Coffee for the first time and we were quite happy with visit. The location has drive thru and walk up window only. We went to the walk up window on a weekday night so there wasn't a line at all. There's no tables for seating so it's pretty much grab and go. The menu looked well versed with coffee, teas, and lemonades. *Huge positive is the no charge for milk alternatives. They offer oat, almond and coconut milk. The staff was patient and answered all our questions since it was our first time. I ordered the Cocomo (blended freeze) and my wife it chai latte. The staff mentioned they have an app for rewards. After ordering, I signed up and now have a free medium drink in the app. Great perk and will definitely have us coming back again. Drinks were served and ready to go in minutes. Both of them not too sweet and deliciousness in every sip. I would love to try other items during another visit. I wasn't familiar with what Dutch Bros had to offer, but I'm a fan now! Its smooth and delicious not overly sweet and it actually taste like coffee. Fruit Punch Rebel w/ Sour Candy Straw is the best blend of sweetness. I also tried the vampire slayer which is the perfect blend of strawberry pomegranate. It doesn't come with the candy straw but they gave me one anyway. They gave us a free large iced coffee. We went today and when we got there the guy working was more interested with flirting with the girl and annoyed by us ordering. When we did finally order he took the liberty to add a $1 tip to the order I only realized when I checked my account because I ordered 4 drinks for $16 & I was charged $17. The staff are not wearing gloves when handling drinks. There are no hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is only available for drive through. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. To be clear, it's drive through only, so your pet can be in your car. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. But you don't really have to park. All you have to do is go through the drive through. That's it. Fair warning, the lines can get pretty long. I once waited an hour just to grab coffee. Worth it? Yes. I love Dutch Bros. Was I annoyed, yes. But thankfully, this time, I only waited 10 minutes in total. Drink: I ordered a strawberry colada iced rebel. It contained coconut, pineapple, sweet cream energy drink with real strawberry fruit. I do understand these poor employees are outside in 90+ degree heat so I did a mobile order with the intent to make it easier on them. The employees must have had a shift change when I arrived, but the time the associate came to my car I told her I had a mobile order and gave her my name. She said ok and walked off. I tried to get her attention so I could let her know I had to separate orders but rather than acknowledging me, I got a hand wave like I was just needing to move on. Upon arriving I had asked the lady for recommendations, I ended up with an oat milk vanilla latte iced. She told me to sign up and we would get my drink for free so we did! (Normally one drink) We pull up to the window and they said ok thank you bye and proceeded to hand us our drinks without paying for the other drinks we ordered. Better than Seattles Best, when we would drive up the coast to visit my daughter in Washington we always stopped at Dutch Brothers, the coffee was just more flavorful. They had a unique and friendly way of greeting you and always a short wait. Fast forward to California, the coffee does not have the same flavorful and robust taste anymore, the frozen drinks come out of a machine and unless you order a cappuccino you aren't going to get any fancy barista handiwork. There was a time in Dutch Brothers humble beginnings, you would walk up to the window, order a cappuccino and the barista would make you a work of art. The blended Kicker is a Irish Cream flavored Breve. Kind of like an Irish Cream slushie with a couple shots of espresso. It's sweet with the Irish Cream flavor at the forefront. It's the first time I've gotten this particular drink and loved it. Came here on Saturday noon and line was very long. They had 2 lines all the way at the end, then merged into 1 closer to the pickup booth. There were 2 girls standing by the start of the lines, handing out pocket menu and taking orders. It tastes primarily of milk with drips of caramel. There's also a lingering aftertaste of thick cream. The beverage is not flavorful, but it's functional. Concerning ambiance, that's nonexistent. The employees rarely smile, appear unhappy to be there, and often come across as rude when taking orders. Most interactions feel cold and rushed, with little effort to be welcoming or friendly. Sometimes, there's that one employee that actually has a great attitude and great customer service, but that's rare here. Also, when an order is made incorrectly. Instead of apologizing and quickly fixing the mistake, employees sometimes try to place the blame on the customer like me.
