Unsure why another review claims that they don't serve hot coffee here, because I truly enjoyed my medium hot Golden Eagle sub oat milk, and my friend loved her medium hot Cocomo sub coconut milk! Immensely. This whole experience was just amazing, from the genuine and friendly service to the tasty warmth of a hug in my tummy. We've been 2 times. The 2 times we've been here have been the best service. Fast service. Friendly staff. My wife gets the golden eagle and she says it's better then Starbucks. Its smooth and delicious not overly sweet and it actually taste like coffee. Fruit Punch Rebel w/ Sour Candy Straw is the best blend of sweetness. I also tried the vampire slayer which is the perfect blend of strawberry pomegranate. It doesn't come with the candy straw but they gave me one anyway. They gave us a free large iced coffee. When Dutch Bros finally came to Covina, I totally understood the hype at first. Long lines, tons of excitement, everyone acting like it was a life changing coffee moment. I didn't even try this location right away because I had already been to another Dutch Bros about twenty minutes away and figured it would be the same experience. And it was. The first time around, I ordered four different drinks from four different categories just to really give it a fair shot. Every single one had the same problem. Way too sweet. Like distractingly sweet. It honestly ruins the whole idea of enjoying a coffee or a refresher when all you can taste is sugar. I tried again at the Covina location hoping maybe it would be different, but nope, same issue. The staff is genuinely very nice and I don't blame them personally, but even after specifically asking for less sweetness, including ordering drinks at forty percent sweet, it still tastes like diabetes in a cup. The lemonade in particular was just ridiculous. At that point, I'm basically taking the drink home and diluting it myself, which isn't what I paid for. I want to enjoy the drink as it's made, not fix it later. I know people love Dutch Bros and I really wanted to be one of those people, but I just don't get the hype. I don't understand why everything has to be that sweet, and no matter how many times I try different drinks, it just doesn't hit for me the way it does for everyone else. Better than Seattles Best, when we would drive up the coast to visit my daughter in Washington we always stopped at Dutch Brothers, the coffee was just more flavorful. They had a unique and friendly way of greeting you and always a short wait. Fast forward to California, the coffee does not have the same flavorful and robust taste anymore, the frozen drinks come out of a machine and unless you order a cappuccino you aren't going to get any fancy barista handiwork. There was a time in Dutch Brothers humble beginnings, you would walk up to the window, order a cappuccino and the barista would make you a work of art. They need to go back to their roots, and dazzle their guests. Because otherwise they are no different or better than any of the big box coffee shops! read more

Recently, my wife and I tried Dutch Bros Coffee for the first time and we were quite happy with visit. The location has drive thru and walk up window only. We went to the walk up window on a weekday night so there wasn't a line at all. There's no tables for seating so it's pretty much grab and go. The menu looked well versed with coffee, teas, and lemonades. *Huge positive is the no charge for milk alternatives. They offer oat, almond and coconut milk. The staff was patient and answered all our questions since it was our first time. I ordered the Cocomo (blended freeze) and my wife it chai latte. The staff mentioned they have an app for rewards. After ordering, I signed up and now have a free medium drink in the app. Great perk and will definitely have us coming back again. Drinks were served and ready to go in minutes. The staff are not wearing gloves when handling drinks. There are no hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is only available for drive through. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my drink from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. To be clear, it's drive through only, so your pet can be in your car. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big. But you don't really have to park. All you have to do is go through the drive through. That's it. My husband and I have been to this place about six to seven times and wanted to give it a chance before reviewing. The first time we went I was so surprised by the amount of selections they had on their menu, they have something for everybody. The prices are more reasonable than other places too. My husband got the 911 and he enjoyed it. But... since that first time it really hasn't met our expectations. The drinks are often inconsistent. It really does depend on who's making them. I would typically ask for oat milk and if you make it too hot (like...really hot) , it's gets really bitter and doesn't taste very good and unfortunately that's happened to us twice. On a separate occasion, they forgot to put the coffee in with the milk and I didn't realize it until I got home because it was so hot that I couldn't take a sip without burning your mouth. With that being said, the majority of people who work there are helpful and it's nice to have another coffee option available. Hoping that the consistency improves because the flavors were originally pretty good. I would recommend you try for yourself and see if you like it. read more

Came here on Saturday noon and line was very long. They had 2 lines all the way at the end, then merged into 1 closer to the pickup booth. There were 2 girls standing by the start of the lines, handing out pocket menu and taking orders. That's helpful when you don't know the menu, but still can cause you to panic order cuz they're waiting to take your order right then and there! Staffs were super friendly. However, its flavor is unremarkable. The drink resembled a watery vanilla milk shake filled with liquid caffeine. The drink is not bitter or overly sweet. It tastes primarily of milk with drips of caramel. There's also a lingering aftertaste of thick cream. The beverage is not flavorful, but it's functional. Concerning ambiance, that's nonexistent. This location's existence revolves with its parking lot drive thru. Overall, the Iced Hazelnut Truffle Mocha overcomes its bland taste with exceptionally strong caffeine. I've been to the one in Eastvale and glad to see this location so much closer to me. Staff are all friendly and helpful. The drive through line is organized well. I've been able to drive all the way in and not starting at the back by the driveway. I ordered their seasonal drink- iced caramel pumpkin brûlée. I coaxed the surpass to be sugar free and the milk to almond. This fell short for me. I did taste some pumpkin and the caramel was lost. The drink altogether tasted water down. Tasted a touch of espresso. The cream topped is creamy but that's all I could really comment about. Unfortunately, I had an iced vanilla latte before this and again watered down - no vanilla or espresso taste and just very much a milk based drink. This is Dutch bros recipe so it's not like I made up my own drink for it to taste like this. Am I missing something or is this the way it's supposed to be? I'd rather go to other coffee spots that I know will have better coffee based drinks. Does anyone have suggestions to make it less watered down? I've been here twice now. Dutch Bros is a treat more than coffee to get me energized for the beginning of my day. The outside waiting area is clean and well lite cause I've been there both times at night. Even at the end of the night it's still very clean. The service is always friendly. Like everyone likes working there or enjoys it because they have a good crew to work with. On both occasions I got: Picture Perfect Blended - this is now my go to. My treat for myself. I can t tell you how delightful this this. I didn't think I would like any blended coffee more than Coffee Bean...I was wrong. My second item was the Carmel Pumpkin Spice. The first it was not sweet. Even with the soft top. I thought maybe I needed to adjust for the future. So the second time around I told the person I think need it sweeter. I was a fool to have him persuade me otherwise. It was the same not sweet enough and like I was drinking flavored milk. It made me sad because the second was a treat from my friend for my birthday. An expensive coffee and I was disappointed. I've tried this location a few times and usually order a seasonal drink, I'm not interested in a regular cup of coffee. On this last visit I noticed they are now able to take pre-orders on their app. I haven't tried it yet, but I am ready as soon as I accumulate some more reward points. This is another good reason to download the app. At peak times, there are four lines going through the drive-thru service that gradually merge into two lines when you get closer to the pickup window. Employees stand in between the cars with a Tablet in hand, and individually approach your car to take your order and payment. It's a very organized process and saves time to receive your items. It's been 100° so something cool and refreshing was on my mind. I saw a Caramel Apple Rebel on the Seasonal Drink menu. It's made of Green Apple & Salted Caramel "ENERGY" with a float of Green Apple & more Salted Caramel. This sounded appealing, except for the energy boost. The lady said she could make it into a Sparkling Soda instead. Yes!! I was especially pleased they could make a custom drink on the spot and it was perfect! My prior order was a Mangonada Lemonade. Been wanting to try this place for a while but we literally have none near us. We were in the area for something else so we decided to try this place for the first time, an hour drive from us. We turned into the parking lot and were stuck in a line almost immediately. Didn't realize it was the line for the drive thru since it curved and zig zagged throughout the parking lot which seemed insane. We went around to find parking to just walk in and order. Upon walking up, we noticed that they had a little ordering window, not actually a place to order or dine in. There was a mobile pick up line and a walk up line so we hopped into the walk up. 40 min in, we FINALLY get up to the window to PLACE our order of two drinks. What? Yep. Insane. There isn't much shade either because you don't want to lose your spot in line so here I am, in a tank top, cooking in the sun. After placing our order, we proceeded to wait for our drinks. Another 20 min later, the young lady called out my name "Angela" and when I walked up, she gave me two drinks that I didn't order. I read the name and it said "Angel" lol common mistake but come on... she apologized and gave me one of my ready drinks which was the passion fruit lemonade with sweet cream. It was super tart but also EXTREMELY sweet. It was literally clashing. We didn't even meet the halfway point and we were sick of it, unfortunately had to toss it. I kid you not, we waited another 15 min to finally get my missing drink, large iced cookie butter latte. I was super excited to finally try it, only to be extremely disappointed. Not even a hint of cookie butter flavor. It just tasted like a regular iced latte. I will say the people and service at Dutch Bros is really great. The lines are there because they are doing something right. My daughter got the Golden Eagle Sugar free or low sugar and we shared. Finally a Dutch Bros that isn't too far away. We definitely need one in the SF Valley. This place is always packed but the workers are fast and friendly. We came for an afternoon pick me up. I order a SF Hazelnut protein latte with SF strawberry cold foam. It was delicious and low calorie which I love about Dutch Bros.
