I went to Starbucks yesterday to redeem my free birthday drink. I got the Iced Lavender Cream Matcha, and I also ordered a cute froggy cake pop. The service was friendly. However, it took me a while to log in to the Starbucks app because they had to scan the birthday promotion in order to get the free drink. I have no idea why it was so hard to log in, even though I typed in my correct email address and password. The Iced Lavender Cream Matcha looked very attractive, but I wasn't a fan of the Lavender flavor, so I would not order that next time. read more

Came on Sat, 11/15/25 after lunch time that day that it was super rainy. Ordered on the app and just clicked on the first Starbucks that was showing but subconsciously read "Colima and Valley" Ran into this Starbucks and was looking for my drink on the counter. Did not see it. Darren greeted me and I told him I ordered on the app here at Colima and Valley. He said I was at Lemon and Fairway. I was like oh dammit. Darren was so so so cool to me though. I was excruciatingly embarrassed yet he was very calm and nice and asked me what my drink was. Showed him my drink on the app and also purchased two pastries. I was so relieved. Mom & I were guests through the drive thru today on 9/16/25 and the barista Kate had the ugliest attitude I have ever experienced at this location. I visit this Starbucks a few times a week and I am ALWAYS greeted with amazing customer service. My mom was the driver and said "hi" "thank you" "have a good day" while paying and Kate was stoic and completely ignored my mom, as if she was annoyed with us. I got off and asked to speak with the manager. I didn't even get her name but she was useless. I explained to her the incident and she said "well she's new". I could tell she didn't really know how to handle the situation to be honest. Being a new employee doesn't make up for her attitude & lack of customer service. I don't care if you've been working there for 5 minutes or 5 years, customer service is everything & if you don't like your job, get a new one. I was completely stunned when the manager said that. Im so sick and tired of getting my drinks here made like shit. I don't understand why my lattes are always milk. It's the 3rd time I get a matcha that's practically milk with a hint of matcha. Last week it was the chai latte. I understand that there's shortage of stuff but we pay quite a bit but for these drinks. If I wanted a $6 cup of milk, I could've had one at home. 2.5 stars Out of about 5 Starbucks locations within at least 1-2 miles from my workplace, this location used to be my favorite. Even my coworker, who frequents Starbucks, almost daily, also loves this location. I used to go out of my way, bypass my nearest 2 Starbucks locations and purchase here due to the wonderful customer service provided, but no more. The last few visits have been less than friendly. Not sure if it is a change in management or workers. There was 1 worker that was kind and provided great customer service but I was ignored by all the others. One time I arrived with a mobile order, all the workers were chatting near the cashier, ignoring any customer entering. And if you ever have a problem that needs solving, they will not listen to you and will be combative verbally - it is exhausting when trying to explain. We are all human, but no need to be rude. The second time, I had placed a mobile order for a Pike Place and a Decaf Latte (hot, mind you). The drink that came out was cold. I was confused and asked them if that was my order since I had ordered a hot latte. They not only gave me an attitude but noted that that was a latte. It was a Frappuccino... No sorry, no "our bad" - let me remake it right now. I was straight-up confused, had to ask super nicely to get my correct drink made, and they finally relented after asking the manager (who was right next to them) and made the decaf latte. After the drink was placed on the counter, I wanted to make sure that the barista made it with decaf coffee, who knows if they were paying attention to the order label, due to a family member with caffeine sensitivity. That barista walked away, and I stood there hoping they would ask me if I had a question. Ignored me, and when the manager finally noticed me, asked me if I had any questions and I wanted to confirm if the latte was made with decaf espresso, which the manager had to then ask the barista who made it. Also, they ran out of certain syrup for a drink one time, and sometimes they do not "turn on" their availability for drinks here (for the app). Besides that one barista, I do not intend to make special trips here anymore, unless it is the most convenient location at the time. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday as I was in the area and had an hour to spare... my overall experience of this Starbucks was 3/5 OK! When I walked in, no one said hi or acknowledged that I was there (totally fine) and no one was in line either. I was standing there looking at the menu but it didn't look like anyone was going to take my order so I decided to sit at a table and just order via the mobile app haha. I ordered a tall iced chai tea latte with soy milk. The mobile app said it would be ready for pickup in ~7 minutes after I ordered it and within 3 minutes of me ordering it, I noticed a drink that looked like mine was made and placed on the counter! I was too lazy to check to see if it was mine though because I was thinking a barista would shout out my name. But no one ever did... so by the time the 7 minute was up/estimated pickup via the mobile app, I went up to the counter and saw that it was indeed my drink! Not a big deal, I guess this location doesn't say mobile orders out loud like a few other Starbucks locations I have been to. Overall, I don't have any complaints. I used Wifi for an hour, got a drink, sat inside and enjoyed the nice cool AC (it was 100F yesterday). The bathrooms were clean. During my time there on my laptop, the baristas sounded nice--I can hear their interactions with drive through orders and they sound very friendly and lively. It was just interesting how they don't say the names of mobile orders when they are ready and how no one acknowledged/noticed I was there and wanting to order when I arrived. read more

This is my go to Starbucks when I am at home. Yes, my stalkers, I live around here. Luckily, I have my own coffee maker, and coffee grinder at home, so I hardly ever come here. But, when I need coffee or caffeine, this is my place to get it. The staff here is great! Everyone here that I have encountered is nice and friendly. A couple of them are pretty patient with me as I can't remember my password to my Starbucks App. They are quick at making drinks. Sometimes they start my drink so fast that they make it right after I order, which is normally a second or two before I change my mind and order something else. But, the times I have changed my mind has not been a problem to them as they have never given me the stink eye for changing my mind. It is coffee, made the way I like it. This store closes their lobby during high traffic time so they force everyone to wait in the drive thru. The workers need to take a class on customer 101 because their attitude needs major work. No one greets you or thanks you. When I asked for help, one of the workers responded with "That's not my job". They make excuses and do not take ownership to resolve a problem when it's their fault. I used to go to this Starbucks every morning on my way to work, but yesterday I came and got the iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso. I was so excited and it tasted great, but halfway through my drink, I took a sip and felt a hair in my mouth. I removed it thinking it was one of mine, but when I looked down, it was a LONG BEARD HAIR! I was disgusted and had to pull over on my commute to LA for work and throw up. I love how they added a local Starbucks to this location in the sleepy little town of Walnut. Since they erected this corner strip mall fresh out of an empty parking lot, everything looks fantastic and brand spanking new. It even has a drive thru which I'm against cause it takes out all the pleasant experience of a Starbucks coffee shop. The staff here is courteous. The coffee drinks just as good as any other Starbucks all over the world. The reason for the 3 star rating is because of the awkward location. The corner of Lemon and Valley is a big intersection. However, you can only get into the plaza going south bound on Lemon or going west bound on Valley. If you are coming from the other direction, it would take a bit of work just to get there. To make things worse, most of Valley Blvd has no U turn between Lemon and Fairway! And Lemon you can only turn into another plaza and slowly make your own to this plaza via parking lot drive ways. Whoever designed this intersection should be shot. read more

A Starbucks on a busy street in Walnut/City of Industry is bound to be super busy, so be aware that if you're in a rush, and use the drive-thru, you won't get through it very quickly. We've made visits into the store and have used the drive thru. Haven't really had any issues with customer service, but it's like any typical Starbucks, which I guess is okay? The drive thru, though, takes awhile; we've waited as long as 15 minutes for a drink. And, once you're in the drive thru, you're just super stuck :/ Drinks are your typical Starbucks drinks, so it's good that at least the consistency is fine. Perhaps another Starbucks (or drive thru coffee place) would do well close by? There isn't a lot of parking, and maneuvering through all the incoming/outgoing cars isn't the easiest due to the amount of space to drive through. I see other people parking at other centers and coming over, which probably doesn't help with just this little coffee shop's traffic. Overall, typical Starbucks, may come back, but will try another place if it's a little out of the way. read more

They are always short staffed and short stocked! Long wait and none of the food items I want is available, this happens often. I've been here a couple of times because it's very close to my relative's house, and it's been a bad experience every single time. The parking lot is super small and there's always a ton of people, so never able to get a parking spot, even if you get one, it's really hard to get in and out because the driveway is super narrow, and Asian people in this area simply can't drive. Yes, all the asian driver stereotypes are absolutely true. The store is always dirty, the counters always full of trash and spill, the bathroom is never clean. Service is super slow and they always run out of the drinks and food items I want. and it's not even noon yet. read more
