A Starbucks on a busy street in Walnut/City of Industry is bound to be super busy, so be aware that if you're in a rush, and use the drive-thru, you won't get through it very quickly. We've made visits into the store and have used the drive thru. Haven't really had any issues with customer service, but it's like any typical Starbucks, which I guess is okay? The drive thru, though, takes awhile; we've waited as long as 15 minutes for a drink. And, once you're in the drive thru, you're just super stuck :/ Drinks are your typical Starbucks drinks, so it's good that at least the consistency is fine. Perhaps another Starbucks (or drive thru coffee place) would do well close by? There isn't a lot of parking, and maneuvering through all the incoming/outgoing cars isn't the easiest due to the amount of space to drive through. I see other people parking at other centers and coming over, which probably doesn't help with just this little coffee shop's traffic. Overall, typical Starbucks, may come back, but will try another place if it's a little out of the way. read more

They are always short staffed and short stocked! Long wait and none of the food items I want is available, this happens often. I've been here a couple of times because it's very close to my relative's house, and it's been a bad experience every single time. The parking lot is super small and there's always a ton of people, so never able to get a parking spot, even if you get one, it's really hard to get in and out because the driveway is super narrow, and Asian people in this area simply can't drive. Yes, all the asian driver stereotypes are absolutely true. The store is always dirty, the counters always full of trash and spill, the bathroom is never clean. Service is super slow and they always run out of the drinks and food items I want. and it's not even noon yet. read more

I come here often and I usually have no qualms. But the past week or two have been horrible. I'm not sure if it's a certain barista or if its not coming up correctly when I order over the app. But I always order with almond milk. Because I am lactose intolerant. And these last few times I have had a horrible reaction to the drinks I am given. I understand that these places can be busy and hectic especially with the shortages of product at the moment. But please if a customer requests a non diary option l, it's not to be trendy. If you're out of their non diary option then let them know at pick up. Or use another non dairy option. Made an order at 3:39pm & it said it'll be done around 17-20min. I came in to Starbucks at 4:10pm & it's not even ready. They ran out of coconut milk. Like I don't understand how, when they should've done my drinks beforehand and so there would still coconut milk for my 3 drinks that I ordered. This is the worst. That's why I ordered in advance, only to find out I had to wait an extra 30-40min. Edit: my drink was finished at 4:35pm & I had to cancel one of my drink too. Also, just cause I look like a young student, does not necessarily make me a kid. I went to this location during my lunch. There was an older woman in front of me placing an order and having a conversation with the barista taking her order. Though I was in a bit of a hurry I was impressed by how patient and kind she was with the woman who was clearly enjoying the interaction. She could have brushed her aside to get to the next in line but she maintained a respectful demeanor and apologized to me for the wait. I had to let her know I actually appreciated witnessing her kindness. Gave me hope in our next gen. Five stars for the girl who tried to replicate a s'mores drink for me (since they don't carry s'mores anymore) and she made something so similar, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. S'mores was my absolute fave when it came out years ago so I'm very happy she pulled through. read more

Daily sbux costumer: Probably the most inconsistent starbucks Iv been to when it comes to the drinks. Always a excuse when you ask about the drink when it comes out tasting inconsistent instead of trying to fix it. The drive through here is also very unpredictable during morning rush. Don't risk it especially for inconsistent drinks. Note to self again: stop coming back. Even if its convenient. read more

It's the closest location to me and always has room for me to sit and study. They are nice but unfortunately the way drinks are made here doesn't compare to other Starbucks. When I get an iced green tea latte there is always a lot of unmixed bits of matcha at the bottom of the drink. It tastes like plain milk and then I end up swirling it around for minutes to mix it myself. Also, they run out of things fairly quickly. I gotta have a bagel with cream cheese and a knife.. but sometimes they run out of knives and cream cheese. It also takes a while for them to get things back in stock. Just a tip for people who are looking for a "quiet" place to do some work... it's not quiet. And you shouldn't expect it be quiet. The baristas are constantly speaking loud about orders because they got blenders on all the time since they have a drive thru. This doesn't bother me at all, but I was seated next to a customer once who was constantly giving me looks and eventually said "can you talk any louder?!!" while I was having a conversation with a friend. This location runs out of items a lot. It's frustrating and a waste of time. I placed a mobile order and waited for 20 mins until I asked a barista and they said they ran out of an item for my drink so they couldn't make it. They could have told me instead of having me wait. Customer service is ok, occasionally you'll run in to a barista that has attitude or doesn't look like they're in a good mood. Oh yeah, long wait times too. read more

When thru drive thru at 8:01 while others were in line also. we were waiting for more then 20 minutes all lights were on and drive thru lights were on. Come up to the window girls are Staring at us. One goes around and does a slit movement on her neck all rude. Keep in mind it says it's open until 9 pm. Can you atleast turn off the lights next time and not have a big line waiting.... read more

This is probably my favorite starbucks in the WORLD! Yes..well in this area at least! The workers here are always nice, warm, welcoming, and EFFICIENT! I come here pretty often to the point that if I don't come for a week and the next time I stop by they're like we haven't seen you in a while :) lol! Three stars for quick not overly friendly service, minus 2 for inaccurate drink orders. We received a very HOT children's hot cocoa and then they skimped on my frap whipped cream. It was a little less than half. If I'm paying for an overpriced drink, it better taste amazing and look appealing and not like someone didn't care about making the best drink they could. So on your birthday you get a free drink from Starbucks. The tired college student I was I decided to save it for the next day. Though as I was sipping on my venti (I hope I spelled it right) Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte.... a fly got in it. THAT NASTAY FLY!! -__- I couldn't finish my drink and I only had 1/4 of it. So 2 DAYS after I came here and explained my story to see if they could remake it for me. If they said no I at least tried, but they said YES! So glad there's a starbucks WITH a drive thru next to our place!!! Haven't been inside yet, but the drive through is quick and efficient; even when there's quite a bit of people waiting in line. Parking lot is pretty convenient because you can access from either side of the corner and I haven't seen it be too packed on any one occasion so far. The breakfast items come super hot and I have to actually wait a while to eat them, so that would prob be the only con I can think of at the moment. read more

This place has terrible customer service from the moment you walk in! I was the only one in line and there was one lady behind the counter sweeping and she just looked at me and kept sweeping. Same with the other four employees that were there. Or eyes meet and they kept minding their own business. No greeting or acknowledgement. Then when some guy did approach me to take my order I asked him for a basic iced coffee. This guy noticably hates his job so he began playing the smart aleck role and said "but what type of iced coffee" I explained that I don't usually order iced coffees and I just want a standard iced coffee with the sweetener and cream/ dairy comes in it. Then he continues with the unhelpful but what type of sweetener and dairy do you want? The end result of the unhelpful barista was: coffee with ice in it. What a cretin! Don't come here they will ignore you even when you trying being nice to them. Oh and careful if the white dude on steroids and a loop earring serves you, his derision is a 10/10. read more

Great customer service each time I visit! Some times they are only 2 baristas working, which mean's they aren't as efficient as they should be, but their positive attitude makes up for the short wait. I came in one morning, and there were only 2 people ahead of me, it took 15 minutes total from start to finish. The dude was having a difficult time with my special order latte, but he eventually understood. I told him I wanted to redeem my free drink, and I assumed he heard me b/c he asked me to scan my phone, so I did, and he said you owe .5 cents (I should have caught on there, but between watching the time--since I was about to be late for work, & making sure he got my drink correct, I didn't catch it till later) I was already going to add additional funds to the card anyway, so I just told him to add $50.00--he needed to see my ID which I didn't have on me, BUT my debit card had my photo on there... he said he needed another form of ID since the amount was "Large" He made it seem as if he was doing me a favor by not checking my ID, and asked me to bring it next time... He asked if I wanted the receipt, I said yes. good thing! cause he ended up charging me for the drink!!! I'm not an avid coffee drinker which means i'm hardly here, so I called a few hours later and the man I spoke with was really friendly and told me to come back and he'll refund me. So I was able to come back the same day since I did have to go to VONS on the way, and he refunded me with no issues! and when asked, he even took his time to explain the Tumblr promotion they are having as well as the one they will have for January 2014, even when there was a customer waiting, he didn't rush me away, cause I did have questions, I eventually purchased the Tumblr, so he didn't waste his time explaining the details to me. It was $30+tax=$32 but for the month of JANUARY every time you bring in the Tumblr you get FREE coffee. My dad unlike me, is an avid coffee drinker and buys coffee only from Starbucks every single day! that's $2.95 each time, which means he will be saving nearly $60 in the month of January!! I come here almost every day for a morning wake up call or a between-school-and-work energizer. The employees are always very nice and patient with me. I absolutely love this Starbucks for its service... not so much the food or the beverages. Honestly, I purchase their beverages solely because it's the closest cafe near me. By the way, I've had my mobile order drinks stolen 3-5 times already. THIS IS NOT STARBUCK'S FAULT. I'm just letting you all know, as a precaution, to really get to the cafe as soon as you can to receive your beverage--especially if you're always in a hurry to another destination (like me) because it takes time for the baristas to make the drink/get to you. Furthermore, to all you people who don't read beverage labels with other peoples' names on it... Thank you Starbucks for opening this store! It's a relief they opened this store since the store on Grand and the one on Fairway are constantly busy. It's the best one out of the three since the tables are the furthest from the restroom. Nothing like the smell of the restroom to go with your Latte and coffee cake. The store has a great layout, with plenty of spaces and electrical outlets for hipsters to bring their 27" iMac's. Standard Starbucks experience is there with friendly and attentive baristas. I definitely will frequent this store... now time to finish my Latte. read more
