As Starbucks go, this one is ok. They made my coffee correctly, but I felt like I was stuck in some time warp after I got in the drive through line. Nobody was moving, nothing was happening and their was no end in site. This was at 3pm on Monday afternoon! I can't even imagine how this place is early in the morning! The pick up window is freakishly high, so if you are not in a truck or suv, you will kind of be reaching up. There's a curb next to it, so you can't really move your car closer either. Ah yes, another reminder that not all Starbucks are created equal. Pulled up to the drive thru thinking I'd order two simple drinks. Silly me. Apparently that requires Olympic level speed speaking because the employee interrupted me no less than five times before I could even finish the first drink. Five. I wasn't done, but thanks for the enthusiasm, I guess? Customizing drinks? Forget it. It turned into a chaotic guessing game. They even managed to mess up the size of my cannonball drink, which honestly felt impressive at that point. And the volume? Wow. The employee was so loud through the speaker that we couldn't even hear ourselves think, let alone clarify the size. We basically just yelled "thank you" and drove off because it was easier than continuing whatever that interaction was. Here's a wild idea: maybe let people finish ordering before jumping in. Stopped at Starbucks to get coffee, and some R&R after driving for few hours. To my dismay - this is nothing like any other Starbucks I have seen. The establishment has no tables, only 3 chairs, and no food display. Customers are asked to pick pastries from the flyer which is handed to them like they do it in airlines. If you want a place to get work done, this is not the Starbucks for you. It's small with limited seating inside and out, but if you just need to grab and go, this location is perfect. The drive thru is always super fast, the staff are always friendly, and the orders have always been correct. It's conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. JUST DRIVE ACROSS THE ROAD to the other side of the freeway for ACTUAL customer service!! This was THE WORST experience at a Starbucks in what...30 years???? KYLE?...the "boss" was absolutely insufferable and knows NOTHING about serving guests. Whoever owns this store...GET RID OF THIS GUY. 5 am. No one in the store. We are traveling across the country like MOST people on the 10 frwy. Trying to get on the road and need a couple cups of coffee....so go in - as we have for YEARS all over the country...order 2 cups and 2 refills to put in our travel carafe. Lady takes the order, we tip her and then HE COMES OUT to declare that while he gives the REFILLS for FREE...we MUST ...absolutely MUST first drink the original cup there. This is AFTER we have already paid. He wants to charge us full price for the refills because it is his STORE POLICY. Well, I appreciate that...but CHANGE THE POLICY or accommodate the customer since you took our $ and then failed to execute the order???? Of course, we are confused and upset since we just want to get on the road on a holiday weekend and really can't afford the time to sit there with HIM and drink coffee for fun!! I ask him to PLEASE CHARGE US (DOUBLE if need be) the REFILL FEE instead of GIVE us free refills (which is a TOTAL money loser by the way)...but he say absolutely NOT and declares he MUST NOW REFUSE US SERVICE because I am being mean (or just SHOCKED at the horrible service) ???!!! OMG...drama queen!!! So I INSIST that he give me my CUP back so I can leave and remind him that servers should NEVER touch the rim of any glass, cup, drinking device as to PROPER health code compliance and basic protocol in any food service establishment...since he CLEARLY did not know and was drunk on his managerial power trip! Probably one of the busiest Starbucks I've ever been to, but it was well worth it. About the only negative I can see at this store is their lack of two public restrooms. Oh, they have two restrooms, but one is reserved for employees only. The atmosphere inside is terrific and kitschy like most locations and as packed as it was, we were still able to find seating for my wife, myself, and our niece. Waited for several minutes for our mobile order and never heard my name or saw anything like what we ordered. I approached the counter and asked if the app had selected the correct location. The barista was shocked and told me that it was in fact a location far on the other side of town (Kino and I-10). Turns out on our recent trips to Shreveport, LA and San Antonio, TX we had made stops at that SBucks, so the phone app defaulted to that store rather than the one we were standing in a few minutes earlier. The barista asked to see the receipt, quickly jotted down our order, and promptly made our 3 drinks. So amazing. We thanked her profusely and then called the other store to let them know so they could gift the other drinks to some of their patrons. Impressed to say the least. It's hit or miss for me at this location. On this evening I came with my partner and we ordered two drinks. It didn't seem too busy inside but I guess the drive-through was jammin. As a result, I waited and I waited and I waited some more; and finally somebody asked me: what did you order? I ended up getting my coffee and my partner's coffee almost 20 minutes out. While I waited I took a couple of snaps of the floor behind the service counter. It is always amazing to me how dirty the floor can get in a coffee shop. But what's even more amazing to me is how dirty the counters are and the items used for steaming milk and so on. Also, the coffee is the other or miss many times that flavor is not consistent at least for me and my partner. She describes the flavor at times like brewed roasted old pinto beans. I came thru after work on a Friday afternoon around 2pm. I opted out of the drive thru due to the long line. FYI the drive thru will be packed 9 times out of 10 mainly because its such a small space to confine such a popular Starbucks location. I placed my order inside and was able to use their restroom while I waited. I ordered a grande, hot caramel macchiato and a pumpkin loaf. If you are trying to cut back on sugar, I highly recommend you request half the normal amount of syrup used. The staff was a young crowd of college kids and they were very friendly. Customeer service was surprisingly great! My coffee was made professionally! Perfect amount of milk froth and the whipped cream wasn't totally melted when I took that first sip. My pumpkin loaf tasted like a trip back to the month of October. It was scrumptious! I will be returning to this location FOR SURE! This Starbucks is great. They are fast and always polite but we have had some trouble with a few of their workers recently being mean to my mom and myself when we order. They have said things under their breath or laughing behind our backs. This does not happen every time we go though. It's a standard Starbucks and doesn't really stand out on any special. I'm a regular at this location because of the Ina construction but now that you can cross the freeway I suggest going to the location in front of Target. By far the SLOWEST service ever. Every time I go it's 20-30 minute wait no matter if they're busy or not. The drive thru is the absolute worst. Went inside to see if the wait was better and ended up standing there for 25 minutes. What a joke it is to have 5 people working the line but having 1-2 drinks leaving the counter every 7-10 minutes because employees are too busy talking amongst each other. This location is very hit or miss with their service and quality. I have had them not get my order correct a coupe of times and the person taking orders/at the window acting like they wanted to be anywhere else but there and the drive-thru line takes forever to get through! However, when you catch them on a good day, they are awesome! During the pandemic I have been going to the Starbucks at 5970 W. Arizona Pavilions Dr., Tucson, AZ 85743 most Sunday mornings. To avoid the long lines at the drive thru I have been getting up at 4 AM to be the first in line when this store opens a 4:30. The baristas are always so friendly. I always ask for a pup-a-chino for my dog, and a Grande, non-fat, no-foam Latte for my wife. They always top the dog's treat with five calorie Milk Bones! This is my local Starbucks. I tend to hit this place up before heading to work. Since I've been here a 100 times, it's hard for me to really say much about getting in quick, as I'm used to driving around the Pavillion's Center/Walmart parking lot; meaning it's not easy to get in and out of. The staff always say hello when I walk in. It's always clean and tidy. So far, they have always had the extra's I like to order; protein boxes and salads so I've enjoyed going here. It's not a higher end store, but they seem to get drivers like myself in and out of the drive thru fairly rapidly. It meets my expectations every time. read more

This location has a drive-thru...but if you use a reuseable cup for a fancy drink, they still use a disposable cup until you get to the window. Go inside instead if you want to not waste. The staff seemed a bit distant and not too customer friendly. In fact, the barista seemed a bit impatient with me while I was deciding how to make my however-you-want-it Frappuccino. This Starbucks is normally pretty quick about getting you in and out. The last time I went into the store I had my complimentary birthday drink. It was suppose to be loaded on my Starbucks app, but I am having difficulty with it. I showed my barista my email and the app and she had no problem giving me my free drink which can be anything on the menu. It is a great way to keep you going back, but who doesn't love spending $3 for a small cup of coffee. I must say Starbucks has it figured out when it comes to going back frequently. Sure I can make a regular cup of coffee at home, but I have to keep my gold status and I want to keep getting free drinks so I keep going back spending my hard earned money. You will end up waiting in line for around 10-15 minutes. Katherine is absolutely one of my favorite drive thru employees. As you pull up to the window, she tends to greet you and ask you about your morning. Rating: 7/10 Mobile Order: The app is pretty easy to use. If you are curious on if they have your favorite bakery then the app will tell you if the item is sold out or not. If you do place a order before you arrive there then be sure to pick up your order quickly (less than 5 minutes). I have had my order stolen from me before I got to pick it up. Rating: 5/10 Inside: The interior has a nice cozy and rustic feeling. If you are hoping to get some quiet reading done or work on some homework better bring some noise cancelling headphones.
