I remember they had this whole thing where they didn't abide by Covid restrictions (thought maybe they changed). I got a simple iced coffee and it wasn't good at all. When I inquired about the pricing, since it was around $6 on the menu, it turns out I was nickel and dimed for anything I changed in the drink. For example, I can't do dairy, so I order almond milk and I had to pay extra. I'm then asked if I want syrup, and I say sure, and then I'm charged extra. That was the nature of the entire experience. I felt like I was drinking coffee a la carte. I know small businesses need to stay afloat, and I know they need to charge because they have a lot of overhead, but it was definitely sticker shock this morning.

Got my never ending cup of coffee and settled into looking at the menu. Decided on the Chorizo Rancheros while my companion had the Big Fortune (I think that's what it was). Let me just cut to the chase. The food was great! I will get that chorizo dish again, for sure. My companion's plate had eggs, the biggest slice of ham I have ever seen in a diner place and the serving of hash browns was way out of this world. And then there was the biscuit. So good. Our server was wonderful. I don't have to tell you! I've been to maybe three of these Bisbee places around town now and this one may be the best! Well, the others are pretty good too. (well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

Sometimes when you try these more aesthetic coffee shops you get more of a coffee that's for the looks versus the taste. This is not the case here this coffee was very high-quality.
