That does come at the tradeoff of higher costs compared to other coffee shops in the area, and a bit slower service. That makes Luce a "treat yourself" spot in my books, somewhere you go to sit and catch up with friends or get some work done to make the most of the great service.

Something about that just was not for me. Not that the gelato isn't good--it's delicious--but I don't necessarily want that in my coffee. Service was quick and the vibe is cool, but only limited outdoor seating. I will definitely come back. An employee at Lush actually recommended their shaken brown sugar espresso, so maybe I'll try that next time. Their lemonades also sound really good. Glad to have this as an option at La Encantada!

You can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea, pair it with a refreshing seaweed salad, and even play a game of mahjong while you're there. I ordered the pure matchalicous power smoothie. On the menu, it is listed as having banana, kale,…read moreagave, matcha, and coconut milk. In reality, there is no indication of matcha outside of the color. If I didn't know that there was supposed to be matcha in it, I would have attributed the color to something like kale alone. It wasn't bad, but it definitely is not what is advertised. Something I was also baffled about was the general poor service. The cashier didn't know what was in the smoothie when I made sure it was dairy free, and it was exponentially slow considering that I was the only person there. I can attribute both of those to training issues, but there's also the matter of the topic of conversation very loudly being held by the employees, which kind of ruined the vibes.

Here you get a watered down coconut milk with an overly sweet, syrupy lavender that is so sweet it's sickening, and a mouthful of dried roses. Even when I asked about it, I was told no. And when I asked if they could toss mine in the trash they said I could walk down the dirty curb to the overflowing trash can that's probably been full for the entire week. I left it on their counter. This after paying almost $38 for two overly sweet bowls, and this "yuck water." No refund offered. And they kept the 20% tip. Don't come here. Let's also not forget the filthy outside tables, chairs, and concrete. And the inside so dirty and they had their child running around in the cramped space. ** update: The manager was informed and reimbursed my "latte" -- not the tip but then she offered a coffee from her other store.
