Giving three stars only because late night was the major reason I would come to this location. However, since the hours open has changed where this store closes every night by 11 PM....I rarely come in the evenings. My day really doesn't get started up till later in the day and I'm not ready yet to get to studying and working on my reports till about 930 PM or so. So since this location closes so early....means I don't come anymore in the evenings. I have to shift to doing my work stuff during the day. This is a royal bummer. The amount of business this store gets during the day ought to be enough to keep this store open till 1 AM Sun-Thur and till 2 AM on Fri and Sat even if there isn't that many customers in the place.
STARBUCKS CORPORATE..... PLEASE get a clue here - this store is where University of WA students come to study. Most of them are working on degrees in the healthcare, computer science, physics and others. And there are plenty more who work on their own businesses in this store. If you really service your customers - GET TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE and FEED THEIR NEEDS INSTEAD OF YOUR SHAREHOLDERS !! This place is packed right up to 11 PM.
I love coming here, have loved coming here because the brain power is immense. WE are all driven to do what we want to do here be it our education or our work or are own interests. I, like others here, get so much work done. There is ...REALLY THERE is a market for Starbucks here to meet - that idea that goes like this: 'STARBUCKS is where people can gather and can come and become great and do great things.' YOU STARBUCKS CORPORATE are blowing that away. Your stores are not just about making a buck off your products. It's more than that.
I am very disappointed in STARBUCKS for changing their hours especially in one of their stores that is welcomed haven for UW students, profs and those of us who come to join them to do great things. And I think I can speak for others here who feel the very same way.
I've complained through your channels and all I get is the lip service: 'we hear ya, we appreciate your comments and issues, we are sending them to the team' - yea, that's spokesperson PR crap. Our issues go nowhere.
So....if you put back the late night hours I'll return. If you don't....Starbucks is no longer my go to coffee shop....because there are options for during the day. If I feel this way...others feels this way....which means you lose our business. I used to come several nights in a row. Now I don't. I spend on average about $10 a night which can be as much as $40-$50 a week or $200 a month or about $2000 a year. Multiply that by another 100 people and that's $200,000 a year you just blew off when you changed your hours. A lot of us are more than willing to go this location even tho it's more than 10 miles from our homes. But ....with this change of hours in place - that's not gonna happen. If I were a shareholder tho in your company and I learned you blew off $200K...I'd be holding back from voting for any other issues. That's just bad business to chuck money out the door. You've cut your staff, cut their hours, increased your product costs and changed your hours. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS YOUR EXCITEMENT TO SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS ????? read more
