I love the fact that this place is open late & it's PACKED all the time. I love being surrounded by loads of people. This is obviously a favorite for many. There's free parking, the staff are friendly, and they have comfy seats. during the summer time it's also nice to sit outside! read more

I've been drinking Starbucks coffee since the lat 70;s. I can't even stomach Pike - what is that? It's certainly not coffee, especially the epic early Starbucks truly gourmet coffee. I don't even drink Starbucks anymore and I'm far from a Howard Schultz hater. The coffee just tastes bad in recent decades. read more

This is the giant Starbucks near the Barnes & Noble in University Village. Not to be confused with the little Starbucks by the Crate & Barrel, the Starbucks inside the QFC, or the "Proudly Serving Starbucks" mezzanine at Barnes & Noble itself. Like most Starbucks, the coffee is great, the baristas are friendly, and they seem to have a better selection of food than most. There are a lot of big tables and plentiful power outlets, which is nice for studying. Unfortunately, because it's so nice for studying, it gets PACKED. Finding a seat can be like a competitive sport. Evenings filled with students and weekend mornings filled with families are the worst. They're surprisingly fast at filling orders though, so if you're just trying to get a coffee, don't let the long line deter you. This is still one of my go-to spots for studying and getting work done. The likelihood of getting a table with power is better than at Barnes & Noble, but my chances of getting a seat at all are better over there. I usually walk by one on my way to the other to decide. read more

This is the worst Starbucks that I have ever been in. It is a freezing day in December and the mosquitos are plentiful, at least in the northwest corner of the store where I am sitting. It is not so much the fact that I have killed seven mosquitoes in the last 15 minutes, but when I went up and quietly asked one of the baristas if she was aware of the mosquitos, she just dismissed me with a quick little yes and turned away from me. Not what you expect from a company as concerned about their customers' experience (and their brand) as Starbucks supposedly is. read more

This one is another great Starbucks. I like the stools .. you can let your legs dangle. I met a prospective housemate here. I was nervous as it was... The atmosphere was upbeat and the happy chatting and coffee prep evened things out well. I rented short term form a nice person. read more

Clover time; Guatemala de Flor $3.25 for the tall. This is Starbucks attempt to get into the ultra java price point. The Clover machine is actually pretty ingenious as it extracts the coffee essence and oil into a pretty remarkable cup of coffee. However, I miss having a cup of espresso pulled by a real barista working off of a mechanical espresso machine (as they do in many cafes in Italy). I would imagine that this is HQ's attempt at bringing some semblance of consistency to how the coffee is prepared. Unfortunately this isn't always the case when you travel outside of Seattle. However, I enjoy the hours of operation at this store. They close at 1 AM most days and 2 AM on the weekend. This store is always busy and the staff is generally on their game and quite amicable. read more

Most starbucks are just pretty bleh to me. I do have to give Starbucks credit for getting me into coffee, but now I much prefer Peet's or Vivace. This Starbucks is different. Probably my favorite Starbucks I've ever been to. I've had great memories here from my college years, it being a nice place to study and not feel like I'm locked away somewhere. Sure it's loud, but it's all background noise to me when I'm studying. I came back here on a recent trip and was impressed with the new layout. It looks really nice. As I had my daily coffee already, they were still able to give me a tall glass of water to help cope with the heat outside. The people working here have always been friendly and have made me think about being a barista at some point in my life. One thing they do have here that I haven't seen at alot of other coffee shops is Clover coffee. I do need to try this out next time. read more

A great late-night option for people-watching, but definitely too loud and chaotic for serious work. Clientele is unsurprisingly younger than most stores, being adjacent to UW. As much as I appreciate the vibrant energy of the store, my drink that I ordered extra-hot was barely warm, and there are flies, enough to repeatedly swat away from my drink and face. There are some days when young ladies galloping and shrieking around a coffee shop is not in fact endearing, no matter how stylish her outfit or sweet her smile. The in general loud, indiscreet conversations and slurping of multiple frappachinos, clanging of china and dull social roar can oddly be calming but most often is unsettling. Come for a safe social meetup, but take a pass if you're seeking tranquility. read more

I've stopped by this Starbucks a few times. No complaints about drinks (though I usually order coffee/iced coffee only) and staff are efficient and generally friendly. However, I find it unpleasant to be here due to the long lines and crowds. I came in here on a Sunday to meet with someone and could not believe how many people were inside of this Starbucks! I counted to 75 and then stopped. Finding a seat was practically impossible and the volume inside the store was way too loud for any type of relaxing/reading/working. Forget finding a seat near an outlet. Not to mention, the wifi wasn't working--perhaps too many people were connected? In my opinion, this Starbucks has one purpose, and it's not to sit down, enjoy your drink, and get some work done. It's simply a place to grab a coffee while shopping. read more

I usually give five stars to any Starbucks I go to. This one wouldn't have been an exception if it was not for the coffee served. I had a venti caramel macchiato and to describe the taste as 'bland' would be a compliment to that 'thing'. Everything about this place was so nice: the music, the atmosphere, cleanliness, baristas (a smile would look good on them, but it's too early and I understand), and the decor. All that was so perfect to me! But I am in a coffee shop in the end and all that matters most is how the coffee tastes. Coffee shop = coffee. That's it! Probably not returning to this location... UPDATE: I eventually decided to take action and went ahead and told the barista it tasted 'horrible'. Not the best word choice to use in the civilized western world I know, but I needed to make my point :( he apologized again and again and made me another one. This one was really nice. So I upgraded my stars from three to four. read more

The latest open Starbucks in Seattle deserves some props. Open till 1 am on weekdays and 2 am on Friday and Saturday, this is a mecca to UW students cramming for finals or whatever. That being said, this place can be CROWDED and loud. I find that once the Barnes and Noble a few doors down closes (10pm I believe) every seat at this Starbucks pretty much taken. The interior itself is actually pretty nice. Big tables, with several plug outlets for laptops keeps it study friendly although if you are doing self-study bring earplugs or an ipod. The service I got there was also very friendly. This placed used to be 24 hours but changed a few years ago. Pity really as there is no where to go in town to stay caffeinated and get work done after 1am. read more

This is one of my favorite starbucks. The vibe here is very laid back and it is a very popular spot in the afternoons/evenings. This place attracts all sorts of ppl, from the students to the urban professionals, and from the young to the old. I love the large number of tables, definitely makes for a good spot to work on hw and projects. I've even seen people hold meetings here! Service is quick, baristas are nice, and overall a great sbux. Only thing missing is a drive thru! read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations. It's gorgeous, big, and a leader in more ways than one. Why you ask: 1) It has insane hours. It's barely closed. Seriously 2) It's LEED certified. It's got gorgeous wood and metal coexisting beautifully. 3) They bake things freshly in house now. 4) New stuff pops up all the time. They are always trying out new concepts here 5) One of the first stores to have the Clover brewing system! 6) They are FAST. lines are long...yeah it's busy. get over it. They move quick. 7) Outdoor seating w/ heaters...sliding window/doors. Cons: (kind of) It can be crowded. Sometimes b/c they are making like 50 drinks every 5 minutes, issues can happen. These guys are total pros about it though. They will fix your drink and make it right. Believe me. This store is alive. It's well. Come by. read more

Poor customer service, came in and spent over $ 7, then asked for ice water and I got lukewarm water, I inquired about the ice and was told that they do not have enough ice to " distribute" around, yet from where I was sitting I could see people get ice water without any purchases. Overall good place to study as they stay open late but poor poor service. read more

Luckily, I haven't experienced the mosquitos like other have mentioned but that might be due to the colder weather. This location seems to be always packed. They also have an issue with completing drinks in a timely manner. I know that it may take 5-10 minutes to make a drink when there was a crowd and that's totally fine. I realize that comes with going to a busy Starbucks. But this place seems to take far more time than it should. I ordered an iced drink and I waited about 10 minutes for my drink to be made, well after people behind me in line had already received their (hot) drinks. I'll never understand why some Starbucks have 3-4 people manning the registers and only 1 person making drinks! read more

I figure I'm obligated to write a review about this Starbucks, because I'm actually here writing other reviews right now. Of all the Starbucks I've been to this one is the biggest and nicest. There's always a ton of staff on hand so the service is always pretty quick. I used to come here all the time to study late at night when I was going to UW, because it used to be the only 24 hr Starbucks I knew of in the world. I remember coming here at 4am during finals week and still have trouble finding a place to sit. Since then it has been totally remodeled, and I don't think it's 24 hrs anymore. There are a ton of tables and two huge communal ones in the middle with outlets for laptops. Now that the Wi-fi is free this is one of the perfect places to study. When it's hot during the summer the windows open up to let the fresh air inside. They also have the Clover Brewed coffee by the cup, which is pretty cool and you don't see it at too many shops. read more

I liked coming in here as a place to do work. But the internet here has taken a serious turn for the worse. It's unusable and now I'm leaving. read more

Unlike other Starbucks stores, this one opens till late; until 1 or 2 AM or so. As a student, i find this spot pretty sweet if I don't feel like studying at home or the library. I frequent this place and am content with the place, except one thing. Tis place is infested with mosquitos; there always seem to be one flying into my face every couple of minutes. If the management can control this to a moderate level, it would make a really solid alternative for late night studying. read more

UPDATED: nice Starbucks. Good hours. Friendly service. Old review: This place is infested with Mosquitos!!! Last time I was here there were hundreds. I came back because they closed to fix their standing water problem but they obviously didn't. I'm back and there may be less but still too many. It's amazing when you have to walk outside to avoid the Mosquitos. (It's freezing out, there shouldn't be Mosquitos!) Avoid at all costs!!!! It feels like the African wilderness inside. read more

Love the remodel and the feel of this location it is so much nicer than it was last year and they now have a Clover Machine, and right now Starbucks has Aged Sumatra !!! my favorite blend and it only comes out every 5-6 years so get some while you can it was really good brewed with the Clover Machine only down side to this place is the fact that it is in U Village so it is always busy as heck, but i got in got my Aged Sumatra brewed with the Clover Machine and got out with a 1/2 lb of beans also in a timely manner, then it was off to Trophy Cupcakes for sweets to go with my Coffee read more

My favorite Starbucks location to date. It's huge. It sits in the middle of U Village. It was re-modeled within the last year, by using all recycled materials, which I hope included the previous store's leftovers. This store is open from 5am to 1am the next morning. I don't know why they just don't make it a 24Hour deal, especially during the school year. I know I'd probably practically live here if I was a student. I come here every morning before work, and the baristas would never get my name right, or spelled correctly...until just the last couple months. Yaay! I stopped going to the QFC and at the Barnes & Noble Starbucks. My drinks tasted a little different, or it was just all in my head. Hi. My name is Lita, and I'm addicted to Starbucks, and I'm a coffee snob. read more

This is a must visit place when your at the University Village especially on the cold rainy Seattle winters. I see this as one of the showcase Starbucks and it's packed with the latest of everything Starbucks. Stay for a bit, open up the laptop and just do a bit of both net and crowd surfing. read more

So this is a Starbucks like any other Starbucks, offering the same almost-too-overpriced-to-be-worth-it caffinated beverages and pastries as you would come to expect from any location. It is one of several within U Village but I wanted to review it anyway because I have to say, the people that work at this particular Starbucks are just about the nicest baristas I have encountered. Even through the early-morning haze in which I usually visit I can tell that they are that perfect level of friendly and polite - above the average level to a degree that you'll notice it but not so over the top as to be obnoxious. Excuse me, my coffee is getting cold. read more

One of the busiest Starbucks I've been to, at least on weekend mornings and weekday afternoons - when I've been in at these times, there is almost always a line and the large seating area fills up. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and has a pretty efficient system for moving people through the line. After a number of visits, I've only had one minor mistake on my order - not bad at all considering the volume they deal with here. I personally can't imagine studying here, though, or using it for a business meeting - it gets very noisy in here at busy times. They do have nice outdoor patio seating for sunny days. read more

A huge Starbucks, and a Clover one! On a nice day or weekend it gets pretty busy, but all 12 baristas work to move the line quickly. If you have time, watch the barista at the Clover machine-it is really cool to see, and the drinks are excellent. A great way to keep you going while you look through the university shopping district-stop in for a drink. read more

Seriously...The first? Are UW students not on Yelp? I'm reviewing this as a grad student in search of late-night study-spots in the north-end. This is the Starbucks with the latest hours, open until 1 am on weeknights. This Starbucks is definitely for the UW undergrad scene. Arriving at 8 or 9 pm, one must utilize vulture traits: circle potential "leavers", wait until they start gathering their things and swoop in before their butt heat has a chance to leave the seat. I am not up for this task anymore. And fuhgedabout finding a spot near a plug for your laptop. I have been unsuccessful the past 5 times I have tried to go there. The baristas themselves are kindly and quick. And everything else about your experience is so controlled to be consistent that it probably isn't worth reviewing. All in all, if you are 18-24, you could look really cool in there too. Girls, wear your cute Uggs and neat hairbands, boys come in your post-workout gear, and go meet each other while pretending to study Anyone else looking for a spot to get stuff done at this time, go to the QFC Starbucks which closes early by keeps their seating area open until midnight. It's quieter there. read more

This Starbucks location is always poppin' no matter what time of day or what day in the week it is. It's always crowded and noisy. I remember this location being open 24/7 back in the day for students, but seems like the hours changed. Ordered my usual skinny vanilla latte and you can't go wrong with that. My only complaint about this Starbucks is that it's way too noisy and I can't even hear myself think nor can I have a conversation with a friend! Other than that, I really like how its open pretty late. read more

I've used this Starbucks many a time to study or meet people for fun or business. There's an outdoor area that's great during the summer months or for you to sit with your pet (even saw a girl with her leashed cats there once). For study-goers, they have a lot of outlets attached to the long tables. The staff here is highly organized. More than likely, you'll have to wait in a line, but they have someone take your drink order before you ever reach the cash register, and they use little walkie talkies to relay the message. I like that! Super friendly, too. Long hours... open later than most Starbucks in the city. Free parking at University Village, though it's oftentimes busy. :) read more

Starbucks? What is there to say. I study here all the time and for the most part it has a good vibe! As Starbucks go this one is pretty legit. BUT a word to the wise. Its always really busy. Usually drinks don't take much time to be prepared, but if you're looking for a place to sit, you might have some trouble. Students, working people, and generally people of all walks of life are here studying and doing their thang (for all day nonstop). Apart from the business though, I've never had a bad experience and the baristas are all very nice (: Happy coffee drinking friends (: read more

GREAT NEW SETUP/DESIGN STARBUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the earthy wholesome thoughtful design - great use of materials and tying everything together. Starbucks is starbucks is starbucks --- food/bevs are the same as every where else. I liked the nook and crannies for where people can sit, meet up, read, all sorts of things. The place is smaller than the other place in the UVillage - the design of this store is very inviting. read more

Pros: The staff is super friendly and accomodating. Cons: If you are a girl within the ages of 15-25 I would say please reconsider studying at this Starbucks and choose another of the 10 zillion cafes in Seattle. The amount of old homeless people that I have encountered in the past at this Starbucks that have tried to converse a little too long with my friends is unnecessary. Also, I feel like I'm back in the '90's using Wi-fi at this place because it is strangely slow in this day and age. Of course slow wi-fi has its perks too (less distraction if you are actually trying to get work done). It is also always, always packed and often hard to find a spot to study, so you sometimes have to squish into the huge table, in which case you would be facing strangers, a tad bit awk in my opinion. But I digress- it's an interesting place to visit if you're a tourist and want to see the biggest Starbucks in the Northwest and have nothing better to do. read more

Simple design, great menu layout for the Evenings menu, and the wine and evening eats are great! Sampled the bacon wrapped dates and fondue paired with Malbec and sparkling rosé. I want another order of the dates and rosé! The fondue is fun, but real fruit is lacking. The "bowl" is a brownie as well! read more

The staff here are very efficient at getting you taken care of even when there is a super long line to the door. Tons of foot traffic through here due to the location make it difficult to find a seat, especially if you want to study. They have very nice decor here, very outdoorsy, and energy efficient-looking. Lots of outdoor seating for the nice Seattle summer nights. In terms of coffee, its what you expect from a Starbucks. They do have a clover press here, which is pricer than the normal espresso, albeit way more strong! The one time I got a clover coffee I was caffeine buzzing in one sip. In one sentence: A pleasing place to get your caffeine fix. read more

Love the feel of this place - as other reviewers have already typed, it's a busy Starbucks. That's OK, though - when I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and realized the line was almost to the door I figured I was in for a long wait...not hardly. I'd ordered my coffee within a couple of minutes and when I was looking for a place to sit in the large seating area one of the employees found a great spot for me to land. THAT was very cool - and while I was there they did a great job keeping the place picked up. So, if you're looking for a cozy coffee shop for a few minutes of quiet time, try one of the many great independent coffee shops in the UD. If, though, you want a good atmosphere with a great vibe, then this place is a good choice. read more

Sometimes I hate to admit it, but I do for their Protein pack (good, healthy alternative!) But question, Starbucks: why do the insides of your stores smell more like a greyhound bus then an inviting coffee shop?? Seriously, all of them smell the same!! Wow!!!! I read the reviews and saw people talking about the bugs/ mosquitoes at first I thought, no way it must be an exaggeration, but they were right! I got bit at least 8 times in the 2 and a half hours I was there! :-( it's great that they are open so late because I'm a student and don't have internet at home, but they really need to do something about the mosquitoes! Also crazy packed! I even saw someone using the tiny chairs/ table made for 3 and 5 year old kids! The mosquitoes ruined my experience. If it wasn't for that I would have given them more stars. I hope someone in upper management looks at these reviews and finds a way to deal with the bugs! In tell then I'm going to study elsewhere. Bauhaus is open till midnight. read more

Starbucks - Super packed! Someone even used the kid chairs and table for homework. Lol :-P - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Terrible store. I didn't receive my gift card when I purchased my 1lb of Christmas blend. When I mentioned it to the barista, she seemed confused about what I was asking for. The only way to do it was to refund the coffee, re-purchase, then issue the card. This alone wouldn't have caused enough frustration for the review, however, when I took the lid off of my hot chocolate, there was easily 2 inches of unfilled cup and no whip cream. Basically, I was charged for a grande and given a tall in a grande cup. Very disappointing. read more

After months of remodeling, they finally unveiled one of the biggest Starbucks in the area! With a whole new feel, this is not your normal Starbucks with a couple small tables and chairs and a bar to pick up your drinks, nooooooooooooo... they have a wide variety of table sizes and "chillin" options in and around the store. As a student, one of my biggest needs in a coffee shop are the availability of electrical plug-ins for my laptop. Not only does this location sport mutiple outlets, but they are built into some of the large tables. Although a bit loud and crowded at times, the table space is spacious and there is often room to find a seat. The coffee is your normal Starbucks, except they also serve their specialty 'Cloverfield' brand now. This on-the-spot, single-cup-brew is actually tasty and cheaper than many of the classic Starbucks espressos. Overall, although the line can be long at times, and drinks may take a while to be made (due to the high volume of customers), Starbucks has done a great job to create an environment that suits various needs from simple conversations to group meetings and individual studying. Well, I am off to order my ice grande chai tea latte with soy! read more

The staff is great here and the location is awesome, right in the U Village shopping center. Hard to get seating half the time though, and seems a bit drafty/cold in winter. For some reason, of the dozens of coffee shops I frequent, this is the only one with consistently moronic customers. Yesterday, I sat near a girl who spent 1 hour showing off her Facebook pictures to her guy friend and loudly gossiping about her classmates. Third time something like this has happened to me in the past year here, and I only come once a month or so. Probably unfair for me to cut two stars largely because of the clientele. read more
