Hello July!! I'm ready for my caffeine fix! Okay, hate me if you must, but of all the amazing coffee spots in Little Italy, I walked into...Starbucks. LOL But wait! Don't judge me just yet. It was the closest spot and I was in a rush on my way to work. I'm not a coffee snob either (just your basic b!tch)..your girl just needed a quick pick-me-up, so I grabbed my usual iced Americano with almond milk and vanilla syrup. This location is right in the heart of Little Italy and surprisingly spacious. This is probably one of the larger Starbucks I've ever been to. The interior is bright, open, and has plenty of seating. Honestly, it's one of the more aesthetic locations I've seen. Service is quick and efficient. I've never waited longer than 5 minutes, whether they're just that good or I keep beating the morning rush. Ordering and pickup are standard, and there's a side pickup area that keeps things moving smoothly. Also: there's a super cute dog photo board to glance at while you wait..love that little touch! Friendly customer service from the young female barista . Quick service making my way in and out with a happy smile. I mobile ordered my favorite drink, a Venti Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. Always use Starbucks Mobile App right before heading down. Every time I arrive, it's always ready and available at the pickup counter. I just skip the line, and it's there! This store is adjacent to my overnight hotel, getting to a coffee shop in the airport can be an unnecessary pit stop. Modern pleasant Starbucks - plenty of seating inside and outside in the front. Outside is especially nice on a sunny day. I wouldn't recommend working remotely here if you need a place to charge laptop or phone. Starbucks is located on the bottom floor of Luma Apartments and is offering superb customer service and tasty drinks and snacks. I came here in a weekday to catch up on some work and enjoy the free wifi and a nice black dark roast venti coffee and a smoked bacon egg muffin, and everything was great. The coffee was piping hot, and the sandwich was great as well. The ambiance and decor were second to none while drinking coffee in Little Italy, San Diego. Customer service was great while it was fast and friendly, but due to the amount of homelessness inside, it was an issue for me, but it wasn't a big deal since most of them didn't cause a scene. There were plenty of tables, chairs and booths to sit at with great complimentary wifi and I got to complete what I had to do with no issues while enjoying a nice black dark coffee and bacon egg muffin. This is definitely a spot to check out for people watching and completing work at your job while enjoying coffee and a snack. read more

This is a fairly new Starbucks in Little Italy. It's a very nice looking Starbucks with an open floor plan and large windows. I had the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich for the first time on this visit and a iced Americano. My order would of come out much quicker than it did, but the lady wrote down the wrong name on my order, so they never called my name, as my order sat on the counter for about 20 minutes. Let's get the names write please. The impossible sausage breakfast sandwich was surprisingly good. I would order it again. It tasted good and the plant base sausage had good texture that emulated animal base protein. The iced americano was consistent with the others I have had from other Starbuck location. It was strong but smooth and easy to drink. I did add whole milk to mine however. Other than putting the wrong name on my order, the staff members were nice. read more

This is a really Starbucks in Little Italy. They have an open floor plan with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have lots of outlets too. A big plus are the clean restrooms. Other Starbucks by Santa Fe Depot close their restrooms. Everyone knows what a dump the train station is. The barista"s are really nice here too. read more

My wife and I were on vacation in San Diego in Little Italy and during COVID and the hotel we were staying at didn't have very good coffee and the take away meal wasn't a huge hit. My wife and I walked across the street and got a cup of the Christmas coffee and I got a protein box with chicken and hummus. Great packed breakfast.
