Stopped by this Dunkin location on the way to a meeting one morning and still can't recall the last time I was in one of their stores and not at a quick airport counter. This location had a very small interior and a kiosk available for ordering immediately upon entering. We bypassed the patron occupying the kiosk and ordered with a cashier who didn't seem to appreciate us skipping the kiosk line in favor of a human with no queue. We actually tried something new for a change. We got one of their summer drink offerings and three minis instead of a full sized donut. The jelly minis were just the right size to enjoy while walking to the meeting. They didn't bust jam out the backside like a traditional donut version. And the summer lemonade concoction was refreshing; it just couldn't fulfill the need of my morning caffeine requirements. While it was nice to mix up my morning routine, I wouldn't order it again. Overall, still the same Dunkin and would swing by again if the opportunity presented itself. read more

Love this location. They have ample seating inside and outside. And their floor to ceiling windows give the place a nice bright ambiance. I normally don't review chains, but this Dunkin' is pretty top notch. I was walking around downtown San Diego and got caught in a vicious rainstorm. Dunkin' was right down the block so I ran inside to avoid getting soaked! Since it was chilly, I decided to order a small cappuccino. I placed my order through the Dunkin' app because I love earning points, and my coffee was made quickly by a very friendly employee! Dunkin' fans understand that their espresso can be hit or miss, but my cappuccino was extremely tasty. The foam was a bit thin, but the coffee tasted delicious and wasn't burned at all. She even made it properly with the sugar free coconut syrup, and my local Dunkin' always messes that up (most of the time they either put one pump in a large espresso or they leave it out altogether). This was sort of a gold standard cappuccino for the chain. The store was large and bustling, and they still had a lot of donuts left at 1:30 in the afternoon. I was tempted, but I didn't get a sweet. While it's a bigger store inside, most of the seating is outside -- which would be perfect with San Diego's climate, but certainly not during a rain shower. I hung out and enjoyed my piping hot cappuccino in their comfortable indoor dining room, which is a very welcoming space. They have lots of LGBTQ+ friendly signs hanging around, so when they say "everyone is welcome here," they mean it. What positive, happy vibes this Dunkin' gives out. Hey now, I am not one to turn down a Dunkin' Donut. This new location nestled on the bottom floor of the NBC building said to me when I walked by, "come on in!" And you know what? I did! In fact, I not only had a cinnamon roll, I think they call it a "coffee roll", but also their Black Forest ham, cheese, and eggs breakfast sandwich on an English Muffin bread. They were both very good. The coffee roll was soft and moist and not overly sweet. It had a mild cinnamon flavor and the light sugar glaze on top was just grand. The breakfast sandwich was very good too. The Black Forest ham was savory and tasty, the American cheese was melted, and the egg was cooked to an over hard and needed some seasoning. Well you guessed it... me! I ordered a toffee nut latte which very delicious. The cool thing about Dunkin is that they also have a morning special (actually all day)... Bacon Egg & Cheese, Sausage Egg & Cheese and Ham Egg & Cheese for only $2 when paired with any one of their drinks. I am pretty happy and the donuts are not bad either. I was pregnant (and very hormonal) last time I visited this Dunkin'. I hadn't had caffeine in quite a while and was craving their iced latte. Place the order... seemed to take forever, but I figured maybe I was just being impatient. 10 minutes though? Come on. They weren't that busy... its a simple drink. I get the drink and it's literally just a cup of iced almond milk. Gross. I go back to the counter and nicely say, Excuse me...this doesn't have any espresso in it, can I please have another? The woman says sure. 5 min later..ANOTHER cup of iced milk. The cup is white. Doesn't even look like their regular latte. Wtf. I started crying (hormones) because I was really looking forward to this! Getting a refund seemed like a hassle, so I take it up one more time... um, still no espresso. They take my cup and add some. But it was still disgusting. Watered down milk with 1 shot. Lol... I could barf. The staff seemed to lack knowledge of how to do anything there. Other customers were complaining that their orders weren't correct, about wait times, cleanliness, etc. Apparently they were out of everything, too. This may be the worst Dunkin' of all time! I've been meaning to try out this Dunkin' Donuts location and I finally had the chance to stop by over the weekend while I was waiting for my friend who getting her eyebrows microbladed. I thought I'd come in for a pick-me-up. I saw on their menu that they had a special for Girl Scout Cookie flavored coffee drinks which looked pretty good. I ordered the Thin Mint Iced Cappuccino and a Bavarian Kreme Donut (Yes, that's how DD spells it-Kreme... some jerk messaged me on another DD review and tried to bully me for thinking I spelled cream wrong...smdh). Anywho, it turns out that they had a special that day and it was BOGO free donut so I was able to get one for my friend too which was cool. Service was kinda blah and quiet, when I first came in there wasn't anyone behind the counter and when someone did come out they don't say hi or anything like that.The girl who made my drink just placed it on the counter without saying anything. The drink flavor tasted ok however, even though I know it's a cappuccino the girl made my drink bone-dry aka all foam? I used to work at Starbucks back in the day and whenever someone orders a cappuccino you usually just top it off with a bit of foam, in this case it was like 100% foam. I thought it was kinda weird when I picked up my drink at the counter that it seemed to weigh super light? I would have said something but they employees didn't seem too friendly. I walked in this morning at 6:15am and this young man was handling a fairly long line, making breakfast sandwiches, serving up coffees and being polite and professional and making small talk with the customers. I was fascinated with his pace and even taking the time to make sure each and every order was to the customer's liking. Where did they find this guy?? He's amazing! I even asked why he was doing everything alone and, without breaking stride, explained that his wingman comes in at 7am - and he said this with a smile!
