The drinks have always been great for my wife and me. The staff are always very friendly, and the drive-thru is generally pretty quick!

I thought i would get a hot chocolate from Starbucks, and with its high prices I expected a good hot chocolate. I order my drink pretty specific and it's been hit and miss for a while at all the Starbucks for me. That said the last couple of weeks I've came to Oakhill Starbucks and it's been absolutely excellent. Today they made my entire day. It's been a rough day in general but I was tired this morning mobile ordered my drink and I had this sticker on my cup, everyone had smiles on their face when I was handed my drink. I would rate it higher if consistency were a thing, but it is not. I would say maybe 25% of the time it's right. And that's for every location. English breakfast tea latte, double the sugar. Usually get it with no sugar, or no milk. Soooo frustrating because you wait for it to steep before you drink and by then you are too far from the place to ask for it to be made correctly. Yes I know it's a "coffee" place, but then don't serve tea if you can't get it right. Definitely bring in enough revenue to do better!!!! read more

This is by far the best Starbucks around. People are prob just scoring it low to keep the lines small so they don't have to wait (since longs lines are the one turn-off but they always go super quick anyway!). I had been doing so well with this branch, finally had hem trained for my order and that I bring personal cups. But all the sudden they are training people again, and they can't get a single thing right! Even the ones doing the training seem absolutely flabbergasted I ask for and pay for peppermint in my drink 3 times in a row and don't receive it. Not to mention they told me the cup I bought was a venti but it was a grande and didn't adjust the price. They are absolutely put off to purchase a gift card, and then ask you to come to the other window. Except there is a reason I went trough the drive through and I can't just park and come in. We tried a new drink that we saw on tiktok and the lady that was handing us our drinks was really sweet and said that if we didn't like it they could make something else for us. We ended up not liking it and we felt very bad but we went back to ask for a new one and a different lady was helping us. She was very rude about it and even tho the other girl said that they would exchange it for us she still charged us for our new drinks. She also made a very snarky comment about the drinks that we ordered to begin with. read more

Slow at completing orders. Drive thru during the hours of 7:30-8:30am is HELL 10-25 minutes depending on how the idiots in your line are ordering and that's a little FYI in case any of you 'Slow ass ordering' tools read this Starbucks menu is not a Steakhouse, you know what they have. You know -- it's been a couple of years since I've had one of Starbucks' (Iced) Pumpkin Spiced Lattes -- and I have to confess that it really is a good coffee drink. Starbucks set the standard for all the mass market coffee bars in the US with their consistent service and flavor, and they live up to their own hype again and again. They are not my favorite coffee by any means -- but they are my favorite reliable vendor regardless of what city/town I happen to be in. I can always count on the coffee to be fresh, well made, and satisfying -- and the shop to be clean and friendly. This Starbucks in Salem is just a stone's throw from my favorite art framing shop, and across the street from my favorite Mexican food -- so it rounds out my visits and gives me a tall (excuse me -- VENTE) drink for the drive home, over the river and through the woods to the coast. One quick stop for the bathroom... one last burst of free wi-fi.... And a big jolt of caffeine, sugar, and strong- flavors! I can't ask for anything better or more convenient than that. read more

What I expect in a national chain is consistent knowledge of products being served at all locations. I ask for 'hot' tea of a certain kind and I was served 'ice cold' tea of the same kind. Sure, I have an accent but I'm sure my accented 'hot' doesn't sound like 'ice cold' by any stretch of imagination. and I'm told that they 'never' sell 'hot' tea of that kind. I had to hold my scornful laughter - Starbucks needs to roll out training to its customer service folks so that they are at least aware of what gets sold. I can understand perhaps it wasn't available in the store but it never gets sold as 'hot' tea was a huge stretch. Suggestion - reach out to your other stores - the nearest one in Safeway on commercial prepares 'hot' tea. Plus the fact that I just lost the money I paid for a product I never wanted nor consumed. read more

This used to be my neighborhood Starbucks. I would venture here almost daily before work. First off, the Barista's here are what make this specific Starbucks awesome! They remembered me and my girlfriends drinks faithfully. Super friendly even when it was hectic and busy. The drive-thru is going to get busy as expected but they are quick so I've never had to wait very long. Again its the people that make the place what it is. UPDATE REVIEW: Staff is super friendly and the ALWAYS long line typically goes pretty quick. Location still sucks (getting back onto Commercial), but at least it's a drive thru location, which South Salem lacks (in the way of Starbucks). read more

I recently had an experience where I had some of my property damaged due to a faulty drink carrier. The drink carrier broke and Two Venti drinks spilled all over my purse, car seat, backpack and sweatshirt. I contacted the Starbucks and I was given a $50 credit for the drink and general headache of the experience. However, they said if I wanted my Coach purse and other items to be paid for I would need to supply the original receipt or send my items into them first. I couldn't find the original receipt because I purchased them so long ago, and honestly sending the items into first in scares me. They could get lost in the mail and what are they going to do when they receive them? The lady that was helping me couldn't answer this question. So needless to say I'm out over $300 dollars thanks to this location. I won't be returning. I'll stick to smaller coffee shops that know my drink when I pull up like Human Bean, Black Rock and Bentley's. read more

I've been regularly going to this Starbucks for the last 3 years and I've literally never seen the same person twice. I don't know if it's bad management which causes the high turnover, but it seems like it's someone new every time. I pretty much can't go here without my order getting messed up or tasting horribly BURNT, having to pull around and have them fix it. Every time I think "maybe it'll be different" Nope. This is my favorite place to get coffee. I've been through all the coffee places and even worked for Dutch Bros for a year and a half but the quality, speed, and customer service cannot be beat here. Don't know why I stereotyped Starbucks employees to not care to know customers or their names but at least 5 of the baristas at this location know my name and car. It's ok. It's Starbucks, so lots to choose from. The drive through option is kind of slow. No indoor seating.

Went here about 10 minutes before closing time today, lady at the window obviously was upset that we were ordering right before closing. Didn't pay to much mind about it because I work with food so I understand. When taking our order she didn't take it down and had an attitude about what we were ordering. Finally got our drinks and when we left we saw a hair sitting on top of our drink. They must have seen it when putting the lid on it was very visible. Took it back and even said sorry (which we shouldn't have) and the same lady looked at the drink and said " hmm that's unfortunate". She then without saying a a word made a new one which was not blended evenly and then slammed the sliding door after handing it to us. Always come here but today I was very unsatisfied with their service! Not sure if I'll be back. read more

I just wanted to show my Appreciation of this Starbucks and how much I love there customer service. I had gone to another coffee shop and asked for an extra espresso shot in my drink because there drinks are always way to sweet. Unfortunately I didn't get that extra shot in my drink, and it was extra sweet,so much so that I could not drink it. I went through Starbucks to grab a breakfast sandwich and the kind, blonde haired woman at the counter asked me what drink I got from the other shop. I told her,and had mentioned it was way to sweet so I was probably going to throw it away. She asked me if I liked caramel macchiato's,and I told her I loved them! She quickly told the barista to make me a grande caramel macchiato. Then she handed it to me and told me every one should start there day off with correctly made coffee.
